Devour the Competition with Terry, the Hungry Wolf, Available Now in Street Fighter 6!

0

Two new innovative training features – V-Rival & Replay Review – also join the fray starting today!

London (September 24, 2024) The Legendary Hungry Wolf, Terry Bogard pounces into Street Fighter™ 6, as the first-ever guest character in the Street Fighter™ series, available now across PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam! Terry, originally from SNK’s Fatal Fury series, will be playable across all three Street Fighter 6 game modes, including World Tour, Fighting Ground, and Battle Hub. Dropping alongside Terry’s release are two brand new features that will help train fighters of all levels – V-Rival and Replay Review – plus additional new content and quality-of-life updates detailed below!

Terry Hits the Streets!

Starting today, players can access Terry across all three game modes, including:

  • World Tour: Visit Terry, the newest Master, to learn his moves and strengthen your bond by completing missions and presenting him with gifts. Once players fulfill two conditions – apprenticeship to Ryu and clearing the Chapter 11-4 mission – an “One Fateful Day” menu will be added to the World Tour menu. “One Fateful Day” takes us to Metro City alongside Terry where a 3-on-3 battle event called “Knock Out Festival” (or KOF for short) is taking place for players to participate in.
  • Battle Hub: Players can bring the new moves and emotes they learned from Terry in World Tour and show them off in style!
  • Fighting Ground: Players can execute Terry’s legendary special moves and Super Arts as they battle it out with friends, family, and foes from around the world!

Terry’s Outfit 2 will also be available for purchase or unlockable via World Tour at the same time as his release. Battle it out in Terry’s classic brown jacket and jeans that he wears in Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, the latest installment in the Fatal Fury series coming in 2025!

The legendary Pao Pao Café 6 also releases today as the newest stage in Street Fighter 6! Can you spot all the SNK themed references in this festive scene?

Players can unlock Terry by owning or purchasing the Year 2 Character/Ultimate Pass, or purchase Terry individually for 350 Fighter Coins which also includes his Outfit 1 and Colors 1 & 2. Owners of the Year 2 Ultimate Pass will automatically unlock Pao Pao Café 6, or the stage can also be purchased individually for 250 Fighter Coins or 5000 Drive Tickets.

Train to Be the Very Best!

Two innovative new features – V-Rival and Replay Review – will provide players with valuable training resources:

  • V-Rival: A brand new mode where players can fight against an AI opponent, generated by play data from real ranked matches of millions of players. The AI player can be set to any rank and character, encouraging players to train against particular opponents without the pressure of a real ranked match. Players will receive advice from Li-Fen after each match, and also have the chance to receive rewards like stamps and titles as they play more V-Rivals training!
  • Replay Review: New features are being added to replays, most notably being able to take control of either player during any moment of an Online/Offline Replay playback. Want to see what a Perfect Parry unlocks? Miss that combo? Curious about an entirely different strategy? Take control (Replay menu -> Switch to Player Control) and see for yourself! Additional enhancements include the frame meter now able to be displayed during replays, replay speed can be changed, and frame advance/rewind can be done by inputting a direction. Use these features when you want to review your own matches!

Additional Knockout Updates

  • The 20 winning illustrations from the Street Fighter Art Contest have been added to the game today! You can get them for free from Battle Settings > Character > Customize Challenges > Character Portrait so you can face your opponents with some flair!
  • Comic book-style New Challenger art of each character drawn by UDON Comics artists have also been added for free! Other stamps and effects that can be used in Photo mode have also been added!
  • New avatar costumes, including an homage to Terry’s classic outfit, an electric guitar, and ballroom mask have arrived in the Hub Goods Shop!
  • It’s easier than ever to interact with fellow Club members! In the CFN Players menu, you will be able to check the log-in status of fellow Club members and also jump to whichever Custom Room or Battle Hub server they’re in.

The wicked M. Bison and easygoing Terry (both available now) will soon be joined by Mai and Elena in 2025 to round out Year 2 of Street Fighter 6. Stay tuned for more details!

Beyond Galaxyland launches today!

0

Sam Enright’s intergalactic 2.5D adventure RPG is now available on PC and consoles.

Tuesday, 24th September 2024 – United Label, CI Games’ home for highly ambitious, lovingly-crafted videogames, has today released Beyond Galaxyland, developed by Chicago-based music producer-turned-game developer, Sam ‘EnrightBeats’ Enright. Available on PC, PlayStation®5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch™, Beyond Galaxyland is an adventure RPG inspired by some of the most classic sci-fi movies of the 1980s, and iconic turn-based RPGs of the 1990s.

Set among the eponymous Galaxyland, the game follows Doug, a highschooler whisked away – along with his pet guinea pig, Boom Boom – to the zoo-like collection of planets just moments before Earth’s destruction by a celestial destroyer of worlds known only as ‘The End’. As Doug embarks on an interplanetary quest that sees him explore Galaxyland’s diverse planets, he’s joined by a ragtag medley of new and old friends in a courageous effort to discover the truth… and somehow undo the apocalypse of our home world.

Developed by Enright as a one-person passion project, Beyond Galaxyland modernises the beloved, old-skool RPG experience with an engaging and eclectic mix of classic platforming and puzzle solving, turn-based combat, epic boss battles, as well as a capture/summons mechanic that allows Doug to unleash the fauna he battles in future fights.

Sam Enright, creator of Beyond Galaxyland, said: “It has been an incredible, personal journey for me over the past six years – and I cannot believe that Doug and Boom Boom’s story is finally out there for people to enjoy. It’s a heartfelt homage to some of the best childhood memories I have, of playing seminal RPGs like Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy VII and watching iconic sci-fi like Star Wars and Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. I really hope people enjoy this story set across the stars, and they find success in helping get Doug back home to a saved Earth.”

Tom O’Connor, SVP of Development, United Label, said: “Working with Sam to help realise his vision for Beyond Galaxyland has been an honour for everyone involved at United Label. The game stands on the shoulders of giants, and really introduces a fun and compelling experience for players – whether they’re long-time genre fans as Sam himself is, or if they’re newcomers looking for a foothold into adventure RPGs.”

Beyond Galaxyland key features:

  • Active turn-based combat: Engage in strategic turn-based battles against a vast range of galactic nemeses, with time-responsive defensive gameplay to minimise damage. Each party member has a range of unique abilities at their disposal, but for an additional tactical advantage, sneakily scan your enemy pre-battle to discover their strengths and weaknesses.
  • Interplanetary exploration: From the blizzard-swept planes of Arcos to the tropical jungle ravines of Erros, the neon-buzzing cities of Neo to the arid sand dunes of Xalm, explore a cosmic cluster of unique worlds, each with its own quests, environmental puzzles, and out-of-this-world characters.
  • A classic sci-fi adventure: A semi-open 2.5D adventure-RPG in a classic sci-fi fish-out-of-water tale that pays homage to family-friendly adventure and sci-fi movies. Beyond Galaxyland’s story features laughter, loss, peril and friendship, all dipped in a dazzling layer of neon-tastic pixels.
  • Epic boss battles: Encounter 25 epic bosses throughout many extraterrestrial travels, including colossal space dragons, flesh eating flowers, and the all-knowing bionic behemoth that is the Nexus Mind.
  • Capture & utilise enemies: Successfully capture the many weird and wonderful creatures encountered on different worlds, each possessing exclusive abilities, and later unleash them during the heat of battle.

Beyond Galaxyland is available on consoles with a suggested retail price of $17.99/£14.99/€17.99, and on PC for $14.99/£12.99/€14.99 with a 20% discount for a limited time on PC.

About United Label

In summer 2021, the company published Eldest Souls, a pixel-art boss-rush game, which became an instant hit among top streamers globally thanks to its challenging but fair Soulslike combat. This was followed shortly afterwards by Tails of Iron, a stunning adventure-RPG. United Label’s objective is to work with both highly experienced independent studios and passionate start-ups, offering them a strong publishing structure built for success.

Arkadium continues to be committed to serving the needs of developers worldwide and will support bringing great BBGs to a global audience, as demonstrated through their work this past year. Shortly after, Arkadium launched third-party publishing resources, including marketing, user acquisition, promotions, analytics, monetization, and more. Hell of an Office Opens its Doors on Switch and PlayStation Q4 2024

PC players will awaken Satan with the Exclusive Level Editor for Steam, new levels and a brand new campaign on Thursday, Oct. 3!

SHERMAN OAKS, Cali. – Sept. 23, 2024 – Employees want to become Satan’s favorite, the CEO of Hell of an Office, so winning Employee of the Month has just become an adrenaline-fueled competition in this satanic speedrunning first-person platformer set in a corporate hellscape from developer 43 Studios and publisher Joystick Ventures, rocket-jumping its way onto Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5 & 4 this Q4 2024.

The PC version launches via Steam on Thursday, October 3, 2024 — with Epic Games Store and GOG versions planned for release at a later date. On Steam, Hell of an Office includes an exclusive level editor supported by the Steam Workshop. Design and customize your own  challenges with endless possibilities to create new levels for creative platforming, or crush the hope of your coworkers with deviously difficult levels. Misery loves company, and the HellO corporation loooves misery.

Did you really think you were going to escape this press release so easily? This is very bureaucratic, and once you enter HellO, it’ll get even worse. You’ll have to explore all the facilities of Hell of an Office as part of its brand new campaign in the full release—a story full of corporate humor.

Like it or not, you’ll meet your coworkers, the amazing manager Mr. Stapley (yes… he’s a stapler), the worst CEO in the underworld, Mr. Satan, and other stories hidden within the walls of this chaotic office. And it doesn’t end there—more new levels are coming, so you’ll never be able to leave and become an eternal employee of HellO Corporation.

On your first day at HellO, the biggest office material supply in the depths of Hell, and after  signing a contract penned by the Devil himself, you’ll have to escape with your stapler, your only friend, through 100 levels across ten layers of Hell. Perform inhumane jumps and air dashes while flinging flaming hot staples to make way for a successful exit interview from HellO.

Hastily navigate nail-biting traps like sizzling laser beams, viciously spiked walls, and razor-sharp saw blades on top of whatever else the Devil installed to monitor his employee’s time clocks. You’re racing against the clock to achieve rank times that top leaderboards. Will you secure the top spot, or will it be snatched away by your least favorite coworker?

“Hell is all-inclusive with their employees,” says 43 Studios, “So we wanted to ensure everyone had the opportunity to work for such a wholesome company! Satan will be pleased to see your increased productivity across the board on multiple platforms. We can’t wait to see how the community fares in the face of these work fires on launch day and beyond!”

Hell of an Office clocks in for corporate shenanigans on Thursday, October 3 for PC via Steam. Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5 and 4 versions launch later in Q4. For more information on Hell of an Office, please visit the official website, follow the game on YouTube, Twitter, and TikTok, and join the Discord community.
