Publisher tinyBuild and developer Konfa Games will unleash hell on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5|4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.

Slime 3K entered Steam Early Access in November 2023. Since then, the game has received four major content updates, including new mini-bosses, abilities, level design improvements, and more, this past May. The game has gained a ‘Very Positive’ user rating on Steam over the past year, and will receive another significant content drop for its 1.0 launch next month.

Slime 3K: Rise Against Despot will launch on PlayStation 5|4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam on October 31, 2024.

This is the first time something like this has been done, and it’s a great way to ensure authentic video game preservation—not just preserving the games, but also the documents, contracts, storyboards, letters, and emails from that era spanning decades. It offers a rare insight into the development and business processes behind these beloved classics.

System 3 also including a playable demo of IK++, the sequel to IK+ that we were working on before it was abandoned in 2021. This unfinished project provides a unique glimpse into what could have been, adding another layer to the preservation of these iconic series.

The Last Ninja series has sold over 23 million copies, making it one of the most significant retro computer game franchises in history. Preserving this legacy is not only about the games but also the rich history and development behind them.

Biggest Update Since Early Access Launch Injects New Road Map Content and Performance Fixes

Oberhaching, Germany, September 18, 2024 – Game Island, in partnership with Toplitz Productions are pleased to announce that the latest update for their single-player immersive story-driven survival adventure game SERUM is now available and formulates the game’s biggest content update so far.

Since its launch on PC early access in May, developer Game Island has expanded and enhanced the game’s features and resources available to players across five previous patches. Its latest content update with patch 6 represents one of its largest content drops and adds 23 steam achievements for players to acquire as they loot, craft, recycle and take down various mutated nasties during the course of their games. A custom difficulty mode also arrives in patch 6 allowing players to select the desired competitive level of challenge in their gameplay. Additionally, this latest update gives players another formidable tool to utilize in their survival capabilities with the addition of combat traps, which were previously hinted at in the early access roadmap.

Combined with the previous freestanding absorbers and updated trap placement system provided in patch 5, the combat traps (slashing, piercing and blunt force variants) aim to give players another tactical approach in their quest for survival from the menagerie of mutated beasts that roam Serum’s dark and challenging world.

Developer Game Island has also included a comprehensive list of new fixes and improvements across several areas of the game including inventory, storage, quests and visuals. Additionally, performance improvements through optimization have been a big focus since patch 5.

Last but not least patch 6 also adds additional language support in addition to the 9 languages the game currently supports.

Beyond this latest content update, Serum’s early access roadmap includes plans to bring a 4-player co-op mode later on this year as well as a challenging new level for survivors to explore in the form of a canyon biome, with new mutated adversaries and more revelations about the mutagen that form the basis of the game’s main story and questline.

Parry enemy attacks to gain an advantage, use the Quick Rise ability to get back into the fight, and run at enemies as they attack to slow down the world around you and gain immunity to damage. Combos and skills will also help you get through hordes of enemies and defeat bosses.
• Control the course of the story, help Tania make decisions at crucial moments in the game and follow your own path to reveal mysteries of the past and present. Different routes can lead you to different endings. Search the Horace Islands for clues and information about the mysterious and dangerous world of AWAKEN – Astral Blade.
• Collect the mysterious Aether and use it for your own benefit. Improve Tania’s combat skills and strength, or spend it on different abilities useful in various situations. How about upgrading your weapons or trading some Aether for useful items? The choice is yours.
• Don’t waste your time traveling. The map is designed to save you time while exploring it. If you have trouble in combat, you can reduce the difficulty level and get some useful Skills. Tania always finds cheerful words for you even in your darkest moments. Because this is not only her story, but also yours.

The physical AWAKEN – Astral Blade Tania’s Edition will be released on 22nd October 2024 for PlayStation 5 across European specialist retailers.
