DIG VR Unearths a 24th October 2024 Release Date for Meta Quest

Watford UK – 3rd October 2024 – Publisher Wired Productions and developer Just Add Water have excavated the news you’ve all been waiting for: DIG VR is set to launch on October 24th for Meta Quest! Step into the virtual realm of earth excavation with DIG VR, where intuitive controls blend seamlessly with immersive features and music to create an experience of operating a bright yellow digger that is so realistic, that you’ll almost think you can smell the diesel, mud, and sweat. To mark this milestone, Wired Productions has unveiled a heartfelt new trailer, evoking the nostalgia of childhood dreams and cherished connections to the past.

“The pandemic was a terrible period for many, but one positive outcome was the concept of DIG VR, which came about whilst quarantined on my father’s farm in Italy. Using a digger in real life, with those controls and a steep learning curve, made the idea of a digging game in VR pop. Coming back to the UK and talking to the Just Add Water team, and of course, Meta, the idea took shape and DIG VR began its journey.”

“The game is deeply personal, but should resonate with many folks, from VR fans to construction workers, to simulation fans, and more importantly parents and their children.”

“In DIG VR we wanted to recreate the feeling of being on a digger, or for those who have never tried, to encapsulate the essence of operating these wonderful machines. The concept was born in Italy, made in the UK, and now being shared to the world.”

Said Leo Zullo, Co-Founder & Managing Director of Wired Productions

Need For Speed Meets Car Mechanic Simulator In Underground Garage, Coming October 24th With Demo Available Now

Build, tune and customise your own car, then take the wheel and test them out on the streets

Warsaw, Poland – 3rd October, 2024 – BeardedBrothers.Games are pleased to announce that their Need For Speed meets Car Mechanic Simulator blend of car customisation and racing, Underground Garage, is speeding towards a Steam Early Access release on October 24th. Underground Garage lets you delve deep under the hood to tweak every conceivable aspect of your car, give it a custom paint job and then take it out into an open world to take on challenges and test it against your friends. Players who want to try the game out before it launches can head to Steam and download the newly released demo.

After a gang tied to illegal racing and smuggling leads to the garage owner missing, it’s up to you and your colleague Deb to restore the garage and solve the mystery. Unlock new tools and workstations as the story progresses and you upgrade your garage. With the new tools at your disposal, you can purchase rundown cars and parts from the junkyard and go to work to restore them to their former glory.

The realism offered by Underground Garage’s extensive customisation options extend to the game’s damage simulation, delivering realistic engine and body damage from impacts that make it the most realistic car mechanic simulator out there. Underground Garage isn’t just about fixing cars, however; it’s about perfecting them. Tweak your car’s performance after every test drive to make your dream ride, then choose from a vast palette of colour options,  stickers and decals to decorate your car with your own style.

Underground Garage offers an open world city where you will complete quests and drive to key locations to follow the game’s story, as well as serving as a playground where you can take on speed attacks and time attacks. During the game’s time in Early Access,  there are plans to add full fledged races, as well as multiplayer so you can enjoy the game with your friends! With the game’s story supplemented by procedurally generated quests requiring you to tune, fix and paint cars, you’ll never run out of things to do in this auto-tinkerer’s paradise!

“With the wealth of customisations options we’ve built into Underground Garage, from the minutiae of engine parts, to cool decals, and our realistic damage system, we really believe this is the most realistic car mechanic simulator on the market,” said Olaf Sobczyński, CTO and Producer at BeardedBrothers.Games. “Add to that the ability to take your creations out onto the streets and race against friends and I think players are going to have a lot of fun when the game hits Early Access on October 24th.”

Bar-Tending Murder Mystery Best Served Cold Revealed For PC & Console With Intriguing New Trailer

Serve cocktails to affect your patrons’ mood and loosen their tongues, then gather and connect evidence to solve murders

Geel, Belgium – October 3rd 2024 – Rogueside is pleased to unveil its new narrative-driven murder mystery game coming to PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Switch, Best Served Cold. Set in the fictional Tzaran capital of Bukovie, you play as a bartender at a speakeasy where potential suspects and witnesses gather. The police are stumped by a series of murders shaking the local community and an ambitious young detective has forcefully recruited you to help crack the cases in exchange for letting you off the hook for running a speakeasy. Serve your patrons cocktails to loosen their tongues, allowing you to gather the clues you need to solve the murders.

Meet a fascinating cast of intriguing characters seeking solace or stirring up trouble in ‘The Nightcap’, a bar renowned for attracting a varied clientele that spans the social strata. Lend an ear to your patrons and form a bond as you get to know their backstories – you’ll no doubt fall in love with the fascinating cast, but you’ll still have to coax out confessions and uncover clues in spite of the friendships you build. Remember, even the tightest of lips can be loosened with the right mix of charm, persuasion and alcohol.

At the end of each day, you will find yourself back at your apartment with an evidence board that displays the clues you’ve collected. Connect related clues to make new deductions that you can take back to the bar the next day to interrogate customers with, while you soothe their moods by serving the right drinks and lending a sympathetic ear. Build your case piece by piece, then present your findings to solve a series of thrilling murder mysteries.

In Best Served Cold, you will experience a richly crafted world inspired by the cultural and artistic revival of 1920’s Bucharest. The intriguing characters you meet in The Nightcap – an illegal bar in the basement of an upscale bookstore – serve as a lens through which you learn about a city where cultural, political and economic shifts are fragmenting the old order, creating new tensions in a changing world. Learn how this backdrop ties into the lives of your patrons and the whirlwind of a murder mystery you’ve been thrust into in a story crafted by writers Joshua Aldred and Thomas Welsh, known for his work on Cloudpunk.

“We’re thrilled to reveal Best Served Cold for PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Switch with our new trailer,” said Antje Van den Heuvel, Art Director at Rogueside. “We’ve crafted an atmospheric world filled with fascinating characters that we know players are going to love getting to know as you serve them their favourite drinks, along with an intriguing mystery that’s going to hook you in and bring you along for all the twists and turns.”

GSC Game World and Xbox launch “War Game: The Making of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2”

Documentary Now Available on Offical GSC and XBox YouTube Channels

KYIV, UKRAINE — October 3, 2024 – Titled War Game: The Making of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2, this feature-length documentary offers an in-depth look at the emotional journey of GSC Game World, a Ukrainian video game developer with nearly 500 employees, as they navigate the challenges of developing the highly anticipated sequel to their 2007 first-person survival shooter, S.T.A.L.K.E.R., amidst the outbreak of the full-fledged war in Ukraine. What started as an ambitious project evolved into a deeply personal and historical endeavor, forged in the most unimaginable circumstances.

Created in partnership with Xbox and directed by Andrew Stephan (Power On: The Story of Xbox), this is one of the most heart-wrenching “making-of” films ever made. It tells the true stories of real people faced with the realities of war on their doorstep.

The documentary tackles many themes from capturing the essence of Chornobyl and Ukraine, cultural independence, and game development in a collapsing world to personal and collective resilience & overcoming loss.

During this process, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 becomes more than just a game — rather a lens through which a new reality is viewed. The developers grapple with their dual roles as creators and survivors, turning their game into a powerful symbol of resistance. When the foundations of existence are shaken, art becomes profoundly important.

“This film isn’t just about the hardest game development of all time. It’s about resilience and the unyielding human spirit in the face of unimaginable challenges. It’s about the importance of creation in a time of destruction…a defiant act of making something meaningful in the face of adversity”, – says Andrew Stephan, Film Director.

“Speaking personally, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 is the biggest and the most complex video game in my life. It was ambitious from the very beginning, but turned out to be an ultimate challenge by itself. It’s extremely important and extremely personal, and it’s a game made in the most stressful circumstances possible. That includes the pandemic, relocation, cyberattacks and, above all of that – war tearing our Homeland apart.
I wish the war never happened. I wish all of this never happened. But it did. And we’re grateful for the opportunity to share all of this with the world, because the world should know. This is us. This is our story”, – says Mariia Grygorovych, Creative Director on S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2.

Despite the heroism of the nation, the war in Ukraine continues. GSC Game World has been supporting our home country in all the ways we can. For those willing to do the same, we recommend following a link to the official charity fund of Mr. Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the President of Ukraine himself – https://u24.gov.ua/

Crashlands 2 Becomes Cozylands 2 in Wholesome New Trailer Ahead of Q1 2025 Launch

Crashlands 2, the friendship-fueled open-world crafting RPG sequel to the popular (1 million downloads!) Crashlands, showcases its wholesome side in the latest trailer. Developer Butterscotch Shenanigans will welcome intergalactic explorers to Woanope on PC via Steam and the Netflix mobile app in Q1 2025.

In an innocent attempt to recover from corporate burnout and attend Grandmammy’s surprise birthday party — SHHH, it’s a secret! — former intergalactic trucker Flux Dabes unexpectedly crash-land-two’s on the lively planet of Woanope. Yea, sure, Flux will craft crazy weapons, blast aliens, yada yada yada…but what if you just want to chill on Woanope? We hear ya: here’s how you can do exactly that!

Start from scratch and build a comfy home wall by wall – and doors, floors, and ceilings; we’re not animals. Okay, fine, we’re animals, but, uh, animals that can appreciate a good… floor… Add personality to your house with a wealth of tables, chairs, pots, and other unlockable decorations. Craft the ultimate hangout spot for Flux’s newfound friends (including the -ahem- real animals: your pets!).

Speaking of buddies, make life-long friends with eccentric alien locals (or is it you who are the alien?) like the gruff but well-intentioned Graal, or the kind-but-lost Oowee. Learn about (and from!) your new friends, help them find themselves, and get help in turn. Integrate yourself into local communities and work together to keep Woanope safe!

In search of a more cuddly (or fearsome) companion? I mean, Graal has a metaphorically fiery side, but what if you want some real fire?  Nurture, name and train adorable pet variants of the wild creatures found throughout Woanope. Upgrade their abilities and watch them grow into formidable beings. “Embiggen” each pet and unlock special recipes as they become even more powerful.

Whether you’re looking for the tranquility of fishing, farming, critter-catching, and home decor, or an action-packed adventure of slapping weird-looking enemies across Woanope, Crashlands 2 has you covered! Choose from Chill, Adventure, or Challenge Modes to curate a desired experience. Pick your combat style, from avoidant (stealth, traps, distance), to high-skilled and fast, to down-right spooky (send your pain into the Void to exact future vengeance). There’s so much to see, do, and build while exploring the beautifully handcrafted world of Woanope!

Crashlands 2 will launch on PC via Steam and the Netflix mobile app in Q1 2025. Follow Butterscotch Shenanigans on Twitter/X and Facebook, and join their Discord server for more updates.
