Near Light’s chaotic multiplayer shooter debuts ahead of full launch on Meta Quest and PS VR2

FRENZIES, the chaotic, fun-filled PvP VR shooter from Near Light is out today in Early Access for FREE on the Meta Horizon Store.

Developed by Near Light: an nDreams Studio, FRENZIES pits players against one another in five-round matches across a lucky dip of iconic and unconventional, solo and team-based round types. FRENZIES fuses multiplayer mayhem with nDreams’ award-winning gunplay (Fracked and Synapse), throwing players into a winner-takes-all showdown with a bravado-laden twist.

Early Access will give players a first taste of FRENZIES‘ unique blend of fun and chaos with a medley of round types, arenas, cosmetics and weapons available from day one. Alongside its 5-for-5 campaign, Safe In Our World is also celebrating the addition of three new faces to the charity. Jess Rutland, Business Development & Marketing Manager; Em Aspinall, Communications & Events Manager; and Trustee Board member, Erla Arnadottir. 

“It has been yet another year of extraordinary achievement and growth for the charity and we have redoubled our efforts in offering essential mental health support, training, and resources to those in need,” says Charity Director, Sarah Sorrell. “I also want to extend my sincere thanks for the contributions and collaboration throughout the sector, without which our life-saving work would not be possible.”

As the charity continues to expand and grow, it opens up applications for its Ambassador Class of 2025 – a cohort of 25 representatives working together to champion its message across various platforms, events, and within the work they do. An annual program, those interested can sign up for this year’s class here. 2024 also marks Safe In Our World’s first official foray into table-top role-playing with the launch of The Gatekeeper; an eerie, 80’s inspired D&D one-shot created for the charity’s annual Press Pause fundraiser.

Last, but certainly not least, Safe In Our World is pleased to announce that it has teamed up with Niantic to publish an all-new resource for players of social-focused games. The Positive Play Guide is a free, downloadable booklet showcasing amazing community stories and chock-full of information to supplement players’ wellbeing. The guide can be accessed here.

GRYPHLINE Shares PC Demo Allowing Players to Team Up with a Friend Across Seven Bombastic, Bubble-Bursting Levels

SHANGHAI — Oct. 10, 2024 — Global game publisher GRYPHLINE is happy to announce its participation in Steam Next Fest with a playable demo for POPUCOM. The free demo for the upcoming multiplayer co-op puzzle adventure platformer will be available to download digitally on Steam starting on Oct. 14 at 10:00 AM PT through Oct. 21. The whimsical puzzle adventure is the latest from the creators of the beloved tactical RPG and tower defense hybrid hit, Arknights, and is coloring its way onto the PlayStation®4 and PlayStation®5 computer entertainment systems and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. 

POPUCOM’s inclusion in Steam Next Fest marks the first playable public demo following its Western debut at Gamescom and PAX West this year. The new demo invites players to enjoy seven unique levels with support for two-player local co-op (split-screen) and online co-op (up to four-player co-op will be available at launch). Customize a character and team up with a friend to solve puzzles with the “Rainbow Popper” and take down enemies in a vibrant adventure bursting with fun. 

POPUCOM is a fantasy adventure set in a mysterious parallel universe. Co-start your journey by teaming up with a friend – and enter a world filled with colorful settings. Grab a Rainbow Popper and fire-colored bullets at the naughty Pomus. Matching three Pomus of the same color instantly pops and eliminates the threat. In addition to the Pomus, players must discover the right timing for jumping, changing color, or activating special mechanisms to navigate the stages successfully.
