Bokeh Game Studio Details “Slitterheads”, Introduces New Characters and Skills Ahead of Nov 8. Slitterhead Launch

The battle for survival between humans and Slitterheads is about to begin…Bokeh Game Studio and legendary developer, Keiichiro Toyama, today released the final collection of information and images for the horror action adventure game, Slitterhead ahead of its launch next week on PS4™PS5™, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows PC via Epic Game Store and Steam

In the shadows and bustle of Kowlong lurks the enigmatic creature known as the Slitterhead, monstrous creatures that prey on human brains. In contrast, the spirit entity known as Hyoki, exists solely to eliminate every Slitterhead. As the fight unfolds, secrets about this world will be revealed, intertwining the fates of both humans and creatures in a narrative that gradually unveils the complexities of humanity itself.

Characters

Blake The commander of “SPEU”, organized to counter the threat of the Slitterheads. An elite with experience in the Marines, he makes decisive and at times, ruthless judgements to fulfill his objectives.

Betty An elderly, wealthy woman, living in a mansion with a panoramic view of the city from the hillside. She suffers from leg ailments and always carries a cane, a keepsake from her late husband. She appears as if she has been waiting for Hyoki to come before her, greeting him with enigmatic messages.

Lisa Coming from a troubled past, Lisa is the only nurse working at Alex’s illegal clinic. She knows that Alex disappears into the night hunting Slitterheads, and worries for him.

SPEU

‘SPEU’ was formed in response to the growing threats posed by the Slitterheads. While their primary focus is on eradicating these creatures, their mission has expanded to include any unknown threats, which means that humans who appear to be ‘Possessed’ are also on their blacklist.

Some members hold shields which can almost completely negate frontal attacks, as well as “jamming” personnel who can temporarily seal blood weapons being made and skills being used. They stand as formidable adversaries against Hyoki.

Memory Fragments

During exploration, “memory fragments” can be found. Lost memories or objectives will return, and some abilities might even be regained.

Shrines

“Shrines” are placed in locations around the city. It is up to you to take on the challenge. While the enemies within are formidable, you will be rewarded items if you overcome the trials. You can see if there is a shrine in a mission on the Mission Menu, so take your most reliable Rarities with you.

Change Costumes You can swap Rarities’ costume and mask in the Intermission Menu. While you can collect these throughout the game, it will be difficult to acquire all of them.

The Overwhelming Power of Slitterheads

Slitterheads are mysterious creatures lurking in Kowlong, posing a threat to civilization. After consuming a human brain, they mimic the head and animate the corpse to disguise themselves as humans.

When preying on humans, they take on a “Pupal Form,” with the human head replaced by a grotesque visage, extending tentacles to target their prey’s brain. Slitterheads acquire memory and genetic information from the human brain, allowing them to imitate personalities. Each Slitterhead’s behavior varies, ranging from aimlessly wandering the streets to manipulating humans at the core of large organizations.

When the human body they inhabit suffers damage, they switch to a new victim’s body. However, they cannot operate independently or for long periods away from a host. When they sense danger, they absorb the host’s bodily fluids to grow into a “Complete Form,” exposing their true nature and significantly increasing their power. They have integrated genes from various mimetic organisms, including insects, fish, and mollusks, resulting in a diverse range of appearances. While they primarily adopt a mantis-like posture, they can alter their form based on the situation, standing upright on two legs or climbing through gaps like a spider.

Slitterhead is developed and published digitally on PS4™PS5™, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows PC via Epic Game Store and Steam by Bokeh Game Studio. The title will be available digitally for $49.99, and features feature a physical PS5™ Day 1 Edition in North America distributed by XSEED Games with a MSRP of $59.99, including a physical copy of the game, a CD of original songs from the game composed by Akira Yamaoka, an artbook with over 100 pages filled with gruesome details, and a sticker sheet, all housed within a custom outer box. This title has been rated M for “Mature” by the ESRB.

Sneak Peek: Flint: Treasure of Oblivion reveals new commented gameplay video

Sydney, Australia – October 30, 2024 – Microids and Savage Level are thrilled are excited to unveil a new exclusive sneak peek of the upcoming tactical RPG, Flint: Treasure of Oblivion. The video offers over 4 minutes of commented gameplay, giving players a detailed look at the game’s mechanics, pirate-themed world, and role-playing depth.

In Flint: Treasure of Oblivion, players will explore immersive environments by interacting with local inhabitants to progress through the story and unlock additional quests. Throughout the exploration, players will have to collect cards with items linked to the story as well as Tactics. These cards allow Flint and his crew to level up, gain new weapons, and improve their dice rolls and attributes like defence, dexterity, and health. Through this gameplay system, players will be able to use accessories, skills, and attributes in combat phases.

Before setting out on adventures, players will need to assemble a diverse team by choosing from the pirates they have recruited in the various classes each with their own specific skills set including Surgeon, Freebooter or Helmsman. Different sailors can complement each other, and combos can be performed by pairing two members of the same class, creating situations that can change the course of a fight.

Battles in Flint: Treasure of Oblivion emphasises strategy. Players can take advantage of the environment by using verticality to fall on an opponent from a high point or push a barrel to topple an enemy and take the advantage.

The game incorporates a strong tabletop role-playing dimension, with success in combat based in part on the results of dice rolls. These can be mitigated by the skills of team members and strategies adopted in combat, enhancing players’ chances of success. This luck factor also applies to exploration phases, such as opening chests or certain narrative sequences.

About Flint: Treasure of Oblivion

Get ready to embark alongside Captain Flint, his first mate Billy Bones, and his crew of sea wolves in search of a legendary treasure promising freedom and fortune. With its original narrative using traditional comic book expression, Flint: Treasure of Oblivion invites players to immerse themselves in a historically documented pirate adventure sprinkled with fantasy elements.

Flint: Treasure of Oblivion will be available on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on November 14, 2024.
