Today during a special developer livestream, the Star Wars: The Old Republic team revealed the next major update coming to the beloved MMORPG with Game Update 7.6 – Galactic Threads. This game update includes Dynamic Encounters, character art modernization, a new lair boss, Skeleton Crew inspired items, and more and will begin to roll out to players worldwide this December with story missions arriving in 2025.

• New Story Missions: Galactic Threads begins immediately following the events from the Desperate Defiance storyline. Players and their Alliance race to find Darth Malgus and stop whatever plans he has set in motion. At the same time, players will also seek answers surrounding Darth Nul’s holocron and the Hidden Chain’s ambitions. Story Missions will be taking players to Hoth, Tatooine, and the digsite at Nul’s temple of Elom. 
• Dynamic Encounters: Dynamic Encounters is new world content that players can experience to help bring life to the worlds they inhabit. As players explore planets, they will naturally come across Dynamic Encounters or they can actively search them out on their map. Dynamic Encounters can range from taking out Hidden Chain forces to herding escaped Banthas running amok in a space port. These Encounters will debut on Hoth and Tatooine with 7.6 and will have a variety of rewards for players to earn!
• Propagator Core XR-53 Lair Boss: The Propagator Core XR-53 is the newest lair boss coming to the game and will be launching in both Story and Veteran difficulties. The Propagator Core XR-53 originated from one of the many broken pieces when the Emperor’s Fortress crashed onto Ilum. The XR-53 is a Rakatan droid replicator trying to fix itself by harvesting resources but its core functions have gotten a bit disrupted….
• Character and Planet Art Modernization: Modernization of the Star Wars: The Old Republic experience continues with art updates coming to Tython, Korriban, Hoth, and Ilum (with a large focus on the starter planets). Character models, specifically heads, will also see improved fidelity across the game! Players will see updates to their character via updated character textures, along with ocular specularity and with lighting, and shader improvements. Texture changes are starting in this update with Human, Chiss, Cyborg, Miralukan, Mirialan, Togruta, Rattataki, and Zabrak models. Check out the video below:

Re-imagining of the cult franchise bridges the gap between accessibility and gameplay depth in business sims

However, progress comes at a cost. Every century, the string sequences in the residents’ bodies deteriorate and decay. As the utopian dream shattered, differing beliefs and ideologies led people down divergent paths. With the advent of “Collapse Syndrome,” the new world began to descend into chaos… 

Strinova introduces a brand-new universe, where characters belong to one of three factions — P.U.S., The Scissors, and Urbino. 
The defending team, P.U.S., is the official government of the new world, maintaining order while striving to find a cure for “Collapse Syndrome”. The Scissors are united as an armed organization opposing P.U.S, attempting to seize control of the Bablo Crystals to open a path back to the old world. In the game, they are the attacking team. Urbino is a corporate consortium controlling the lifeblood of the new world’s production, using crystal energy to explore pathways to other dimensions.

The Strinova Official Launch will provide a detailed introduction to the game’s features and gameplay mechanics. It will feature Demolition Mode, where players battle through a series of rounds where the P.U.S. team is tasked with planting a bomb while The Scissors must stop them to protect Energy Crystals. Urbino players, however, can fight for either side. After each round players are assessed by performance and given points, which can be used to upgrade your character’s skill trees and unlock passive Awakening Skills, offering all new play styles and strategies as the match continues.

Stay tuned for more thrilling maps and modes to be added in the future. Those to be added include the 7v7 Team Deathmatch where players will compete to a certain kill count, and Escort, where the attacking team will try to push a payload forward while the defending team will be tasked with stopping it. 

During the Steam October New Releases Festival, Strinova stood out among numerous games worldwide, securing the top spot in the “Daily Active Demo Players” category and third place in the “Most Popular Upcoming” section.

Each character possesses their own unique abilities, which are expressed through combat skills. For example, Strinova’s “young artist” Maddelena excels at using special paints in combat to restrict the enemy’s movements, while “New Investigator” Michele relies on her beloved intelligent robot to be her best combat partner. Each character in Strinova has skills designed to reflect their unique traits, showcasing both their cute, gentle side and the diversity of their combat strategies. Players will not only love selecting these characters in battle, but also enjoy learning about their backstories, thus forming a deeper connection with them.

“With Strinova we wanted to create a one-of-a-kind take on the tactical shooter and mixing 3D and 2D gameplay was something we’d never seen done before in a PvP game that could offer unparalleled depth of strategy,” said Alan Zhang, Executive Producer of Strinova and Vice President of R&D at iDreamSky. “We’re looking forward to players testing the Official Launch on November 22nd and hearing their feedback as we gear up for Strinova’s full launch.”
