Lead your tribe to godly glory or cursed chaos in Kaya’s Prophecy’s Steam Next Fest demo

Decks, destiny and a dash of divine intervention

Bristol, United Kingdom — January 28, 2025 | It may take a village to raise a child, but it will take a strong leader to appease the fearsome god of Kaya’s Prophecy in this February’s Steam Next Fest.

Players can challenge themselves to survive in a cut-throat jungle, armed only with a deck of cards and a couple of human sacrifices, and lead their tribe to glory. That is, so long as they can keep their God happy…

Created by developers Jérémie & Thibaut, and published by Yogscast Games, Kaya’s Prophecy is a card-based village builder featuring deckbuilding combat, with the slight added challenge of having an all-knowing, omnipresent deity to appease. Fans of the genre can revel in the satisfaction of careful resource management, the strategy of forging the perfect deck, and the heartwarming pride of watching their village grow. They just need to make sure their God doesn’t get mad and fry someone alive – simple!

As the tribe grows and develops, players can unlock new discoveries to improve village life (with their deity’s approval, of course). Craft innovative new technologies, tools and structures to cultivate a thriving community. New materials and rewards lie in unexplored territories, which tribe members can explore and conquer, if they’re brave enough.

Life under an omnipotent God isn’t all gloom and fear. Sure, villagers could be subject to deadly weather phenomena at the slightest provocation,  but there are plenty of rewards to be given to the faithfully devoted. Players who keep their Gods well-fed with plenty of offerings can enjoy bountiful boons and goodies for their tribe. A considerable portion of the food supply in exchange for not dying is a pretty good deal, right?

The Kaya’s Prophecy demo will be available as part of the February Steam Next Fest, which you will be able to check out on their Steam page from February 24, 2025.

Lead Five Flawed Prisoners on a Daring Escape in the Tactical Stealth Adventure, The Stone of Madness, Now Available on PC and Console Platforms

Publisher Tripwire Presents Releases the Latest Creation from Acclaimed Developer, The Game Kitchen, on PC, PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch™

ROSWELL, Ga. – Jan. 28, 2025 – Tripwire Presents, the publishing division of Tripwire Interactive that focuses on releasing great games from other independent studios, today released The Stone of Madness, the new tactical stealth-adventure title created by The Game Kitchen, acclaimed developers of Blasphemous and Blasphemous 2. The title is currently available digitally on Windows PC via Steam (officially Steam Deck Verified), Epic Games Store and GOG, PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch™ for a MSRP of $29.99 for the Standard edition and $34.99 for the Special edition, which includes a digital copy of the game, digital artbook with over 60 pages of gorgeous art, and the digital official soundtrack (OST) featuring 24 songs.

The Stone of Madness is a tactical stealth adventure game set in a Spanish madhouse in the late 18th century, presented with gorgeous hand-crafted, period-inspired artwork. Located in the Pyrenees, a timeworn Jesuit monastery is home both to a madhouse and an inquisitorial prison; five mysterious characters have been imprisoned between its walls under different pretenses. Plagued by cruel punishment, madness, and despair, they will soon devise a plan to escape this place and its evil inhabitants, relying on each other to face their deepest fears. Learn the strengths and phobias of each character, prepare the perfect plan, and try to help all five inmates escape their confinement with their lives, and sanity, intact.

When I began working on The Stone of Madness, I quickly realized it would be the most complex project I had ever been a part of,” said Ana Trujillo Ruiz, Producer at The Game Kitchen. “The Stone of Madness is a pretty different game. The team pays a lot of attention to detail, and there are a lot of systems and interactions in place that constantly surprise you as you play. It feels unique, like its own kind of beast. Collaborating with Tripwire Presents’ team made the process significantly smoother, they really helped us bring our vision to life.

Tripwire Presents wants to thank our wonderful partners at The Game Kitchen for their hard work in cooking up this delightfully twisted tale of five mismatched inmates at a monastery turned insane asylum,” said Bryan West, Publishing Director at Tripwire Presents. “Together we are incredibly proud to bring The Stone of Madness to gamers across the world and feel confident that players will feel the same attachment to these uniquely flawed characters as we do.

The Stone of Madness key features include:

  • Escape the Monastery: Control all five characters independently to aid in their escape, taking care to preserve each member’s sanity as much as possible. As they explore the corridors and rooms of the monastery they may discover useful tools or clues to aid their escape. They must avoid detection at all times, the Inquisition is not known for their mercy.
  • Manage the Madness: Each character carries their own unique traumas and phobias contributing to their own respective madness. Managing their mental health will be crucial to their escape, using a system of character progression and regression. Failing to maintain a character’s sanity can trigger new negative traits including paranoia, dementia, or bouts of violence.
  • Discover the Secrets Within: Choose between two different escape plans, with each campaign featuring unique stories, objectives, and surprises. These plans will play out through a day and night cycle separating daytime actions and nighttime preparations, giving the prisoners time to rest and recover. Most actions will be best performed during daytime, even with the Inquisition’s presence, however the darkness of night offers unique opportunities, and risks. There is a reason most inmates rarely venture out after dark.
  • Experience Stunning, Hand-painted Art Style: The visuals in The Stone of Madness have been lovingly hand-painted and animated, drawing heavy inspiration from 18th-century artist Francisco De Goya. An isometric perspective allows players to explore scenes and observe minute details as if they’re adventuring through a Goya painting brought to life.

Developed by The Game Kitchen and published by Tripwire Presents, The Stone of Madness launched on Windows PC via Steam (officially Steam Deck Verified), Epic Games Store and GOG, PS5™, Xbox Series X|S and the Nintendo Switch™ on Jan. 28, 2025.

About the Game

Parallel Experiment is a 2-player cooperative puzzle game with escape room-like elements. Players take on the roles of two detectives who are often separated, each with different clues, and must work together to solve puzzles.

It’s a noir-inspired adventure with a comic book art style, featuring detectives Ally and Old Dog. While following the trail of the dangerous Cryptic Killer, they suddenly become his targets and are now unwilling participants in his twisted experiment.

It has a variety of innovative puzzles that push the boundaries of cooperative puzzle design, offering puzzles never seen before in other games.

Key Features

Challenging Collaborative Puzzles
There are over 80 puzzles striking the perfect balance between challenging yet fair. But you’re not facing them on your own! Communicate with your partner on how to best proceed, solve a puzzle on your end that unlocks the next step for them and discover a wide variety of puzzles from redirecting water flows, finding computer passwords and unlocking intricate locks, to deciphering cryptic ciphers, soldering electronic components, and even waking up a drunk!

Two Can Play That Game

Explore hand-drawn environments that look like they’ve leapt straight off the pages of a comic book.

Annoy Each Other
This is a key feature? Yes. Yes, it is.
Each level will have some way for players to annoy their co-op partner: knock on a window to distract them, poke them, make their screens shake. You already know you’ll be doing this just by reading it, right?

Draw on… Everything!
Every detective needs a notebook. In Parallel Experiment, players can jot down notes, sketch solutions, and interact with the environment in creative ways. But we all know what you’re going to draw first…

Tails of Iron 2 builds upon its predecessor in several meaningful ways inspired by core player feedback, that serve to evolve rather than reinvent the fan-favourite formula. This includes a more expansive campaign twice the length of Tails of Iron, a more varied game world comprising six diverse biomes, new giant beast hunts, an all-new spellcasting system, and a deeper, enhanced version of the saga’s trademark brutal-but-fair combat.

In addition to the base game, those buying the Deluxe version will receive two DLC packs (which will also be available to purchase separately): The ‘Augur of the Draugr’ set that includes the legendary Draugr armour of old, and the ‘Hair to the Throne’ cosmetic pack, which features an exclusive collection of beards and hairstyles. The PC Deluxe version also includes the game’s digital artbook and official soundtrack.

Tails of Iron 2: Whiskers of Winter features:

  • Explore a vast, wintry kingdom: Fully narrated by RPG legend Doug Cockle (The Witcher franchise, Alan Wake 2, Baldur’s Gate 3) prepare to embark on an epic adventure across the northern realm and biomes of the Ratdom; an expansive, frost-bitten land on the brink of all-out war.
  • Hunt down giant beasts: Track down and defeat 15 legendary beasts of the Ratdom’s northern frontier and be rewarded with rare resources with which to craft devastating equipment. But be warned, these colossal creatures won’t go down without a fight… and then some.
  • Unleash the power of gods: Unlock the power of the four deities and unleash their powerful ‘Elementa’ spells in combat; harness the magics of fire, poison, ice, and electric upon the damned malevolent Dark Wings!
  • Master challenging combat:  Face down the Dark Wing threat in deadly battles; let the devilish bats taste steel of blade and spear, or attack at range with bolts and arrows… and set elemental traps against these marauding foes (and adjust the difficulty at any point if it’s getting *too* much of a challenge – we won’t judge!)
  • Improved base building: Construct and upgrade the devastated Rat fortress of Winter’s Edge to gain access to more powerful items from the smithy, tastier meals at the kitchen, a wider range of powerful traps from the shoppe, and more!
