I’m sure anyone who has ever watched Dragon Ball Z or played one of the many games that have been released in the series has at least once dreamed they could do things like what is shown in the franchise. Well, you still won’t be able to do anything like that in real life, but you will soon be able to at least act like you can.
With the release of Dragon Ball Z for Kinect only a few weeks away, Namco Bandai has chosen to release a number of new screenshots for the game which can be seen below, including some anime footage of Super Saiyan Bardock. Those looking to pick up the title can do so in a couple of weeks when the game is released on October 9th.

In addition to the deals of the week, there are some special deals going on in the background. Fable Heroes started its special savings already from September 18th to an extended October 15th (nearly a month for 400 MSP). Kinect Central: Dragon’s Lair has already debuted from September 18th at 400 MSP and will last to September 25th. And let’s not forget Final Fantasy XIII-2 will be having a varying sale from September 25th to October 1st – keep a close eye on this one.
Hopefully these deals will satisfy your hunger for a couple weeks. If not you can always express your complaints in the comments below, and we can direct the message. I would like to personally thank everyone for tuning in again for another chapter of Xbox Live News with Pipper. Now please let your pet outside for a tinkle, and always remember to “Play Hard or Don’t Play At All!”
With Tekken Tag Tournament 2 coming to the Wii U as a launch title, there will be a number of special features added into the game to make you want to try it out on the new Nintendo platform. Perhaps one of the most interesting additions are a number of Nintendo themed costumes such as Armored King in Ganandorf’s outfit and more.
Besides the new costumes, players will also be able to take part in a new Mushroom battle where players will be able to pick up mushrooms that will make them bigger, or smaller if they grab a poisonous mushroom. There will even be a special star that will make them invincible, just like it would in Super Mario Bros. Take a sneak peek at these features in the latest screenshots below.
It has been awhile since Namco Bandai released Tales of Xillia in Japan, in fact there has already been a sequel announced at this point. However those of us in the West should be encouraged to know that Tales of Xillia is still on its way to JRPG fans in North America and Europe.
While Tales of Xillia is currently set to be released sometime in 2013, Namco Bandai has chosen today to release a number of screenshots which can be seen below, as well as a few which contain English subtitled scenes, combat sequences, exploration and anime cutscenes as well.
Running on the success of Rayman Origins, Rayman Jungle Run sees Ubisoft’s platforming hero run across iOS screens. Don’t be fooled by the graphics, this is not a pocket sized Origins, but a totally new game. Following a very similar formula to many iOS games, Jungle Run is a continuous run and jump game. Yeah, the name gives that away, doesn’t it? Regardless, the game features amazing graphics using the UbiArt Framework engine that was used in Rayman Origins, new worlds to discover, new powers to unlock, captivating music, touch-based controls. As is iOS standard now, there is Cloud saving support and GameCenter Leaderboards, as well as some wallpapers for you to unlock. Rayman fans can download the game via the iTunes App store for a mere $2.99. So why not run on over.
The Testament of Sherlock Holmes is finally seeing release. Available in Europe tomorrow and in North America on September 25th, the game will hit both retail and digital download across the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC. To honor the occasion a launch trailer has just been released, promising blood and gore, intense violence and use of drugs in what is a surprisingly high ratings card for a Sherlock title.
Indeed the game is potentially something of a step up for the character in terms of video game adaptations. Usually confined to handhelds and the PC, this console release boasts significantly better tech than its predecessors – boasting motion capture performances and a new graphics engine. Sherlock Holmes is certainly an incredibly strong media presence at the moment, so here’s hoping the game can live up to the popular movies and excellent BBC TV show.
Make sure and check out the full trailer attached below.
Back when the original Zone of the Enders was released in North America, the game was bundled with a demo of Metal Gear Solid 2. Ironically, it seems that even the HD version of the game can’t escape being bundled with Raiden and Metal Gear Solid.
Not only did Konami reveal that the Zone of the Enders HD Collection would be hitting stores on October 30th but they also revealed that the game will include a demo of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. The demo will be available with all retail releases and will be made available digitally later on. For those who may have forgotten, this collection includes HD upgrades of Zone of the Enders and Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner.

10tons LtdĀ announced their latest iOS game today. King Oddball Ends the World features a head with an impressively long tongue hurling rocks at tanks, helicopters, soldiers, and other evil looking military figures that are supported by bricks and girders. The game is a one tap game making it extremely easy to learn but difficult to master. The game will be priced at $2.99 USD with an introductory launch sale planned. 2K Sports released a new trailer today demoing the Kinect integration that is new to NBA 2K13. Players will be able to make substitutions, change strategies, and call plays through the Kinect microphone just like a coach or a player on the court. This spells the end of shouting the right plays to the TV and watching your favourite basketball team make a stupid play. NBA 2K13 is the latest iteration of the hit basketball franchise. The game will be released in Europe, Australia, and New Zealand on October 5th, 2012, and in North America on October 2nd, 2012. The game will be available for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, the Wii, the PSP, and PCs initially with a Wii U release following up during the holidays. Check out the trailer below.
