AFL, Cricket Australia and Supercars Debut on Roblox via Kayo SPORTS Stadium

Foxtel Media launches immersive sports gaming platform to scale fan engagement

Sydney – 6 May 2026: AFL, Cricket Australia and Supercars have launched new immersive gaming experiences on Roblox in the newly unveiled Kayo SPORTS Stadium – a joint venture between Foxtel Media and Livewire, the global leader in gaming marketing, developed by Gamefam.

In a first of its kind initiative, Kayo SPORTS Stadium is the first experience on the platform to see three major codes sign on to create a family-friendly virtual environment. Passionate fans can actively engage with their favourite sports through immersive experiences exclusive to Roblox.

Kayo SPORTS Stadium introduces Australian sport to the Roblox audience, expanding the fan experience into a virtual world that complements live broadcasts. Each code will debut with their own sports zones with two mini-games at launch, creating captivating gaming experiences for fans craving action beyond the whistle:

  • AFL: Emulate heroes by taking a specky or slotting a goal from 50 metres
  • Cricket: Test skills in a high-intensity net session or pull off a spectacular catch in the catching challenge
  • Supercars: Race against the clock to set the fastest lap or prove precision in the pit lane

Australian sport fans are increasingly engaging with sport beyond the matches to bring the codes they love to life. Consuming sport news, playing games, as well as tuning in to expert analysis or documentaries are just some of the ways 54% of sports fans are immersing themselves outside the live game. 7.4 million Australians spend a massive 8 hours per week engaged with sport, 4 of which are beyond the live action. Stonemaier Games and Emerald City Games partner to bring the award-winning board game to PC

Langley, British Columbia – May 5, 2026 — Emerald City Games today announced Red Rising Digital, the official adaptation of Stonemaier Games’ acclaimed board game set in Pierce Brown’s bestselling Red Rising series.

Players will step into the brutal color caste system, building their own house of followers, chaining card combos, and fighting for dominance. From its inception, Maximum Football has centered on giving players the tools to build their own football universe. With this update, that vision reaches a new level.

From Chance to Control: A New Era of Team Building

In previous iterations, building a competitive roster often relied on luck. The MPL update eliminates that dependency, introducing a system where players actively shape their athletes’ identities and performance.

Instead of relying on pre-defined archetypes, every player card now serves as a customizable foundation, allowing users to develop athletes that fit their exact playstyle, whether starting from a Rookie or a Generational talent.

Higher rarity cards unlock:

  • Increased stat floors
  • Expanded badge slots
  • Greater customization potential 

To support this new system, all players will begin with a fresh roster. However, existing players who financially invested in MPL 1.0 will receive packs of new cards to accelerate their transition.

Introducing Badges

Badges represent the core of MPL’s new customization system, enabling players to define how their athletes perform on the field. Found in packs and attachable to player cards, Badges provide targeted stat boosts and unlock unique playstyles. This system allows for the creation of highly specialized builds, from ultra-fast running backs to dominant defensive anchors.

Note on Last Gen Hardware:

While last-gen hardware players will still have access to Exhibition, Gridiron, Team Customization, Dynasty, Franchise and the Store, support for the other modes on Xbox One X and PlayStation 4 will be sunset in order to improve the on-field performance for the majority of players. Accordingly, online matchmaking for Exhibition matches will now be limited to players on the same console to avoid technical conflicts with newer versions of the game.

Season Pass 6 is Now Available

With the overhaul to MPL also comes Season Pass 6. The Out of Bounds pass takes players to where they’ve never gone before.

The update reinforces the game’s commitment to community-driven evolution while empowering players to fully control their progression.

Drawing on the rich culture of Mexico, the side-scrolling shooter combines high-stakes gunfights, precise platforming, and a dive into the history of the Mexican states. As the fires of the revolution fade after years of bitter fighting, a new threat rises from the ashes. As it spreads across the land, only one woman stands in its way… 

Players take control of Angela, the titular adelita, as she faces threats straight from Mexican legends. One shot is all it takes to eliminate her, making speed and precision in maneuvering between incoming bullets vital to staying alive. Angela is not defenseless: A trusty bolt-action rifle is her first line of defense, with other weapons like a shotgun, a machine gun, or a high-powered revolver available to help deal with the supernatural threats – while crucifixes help protect against stray shots.

The threats Angela faces start with Mexicans possessed by the dark force, armed to the teeth with rifles, shotguns, and other weapons, that force Angela to stay on the move. Cover is of limited help: The air is full of aggressive eagles that will swoop down when she least expects it. Each level ends in a boss fight against a foe straight from Hispanic folklore, such as the legendary La Llorona, a vengeful ghost mourning the loss of her children, drowned by her own hands.

The folklore of Mexico is more than just decoration or simple background lore. Dark Adelita was built from the beginning as a way to showcase the unique aspects of Mexico and its culture. Levels aren’t arbitrary maps, but unique settings inspired by each of the Mexican states, as are the creatures and characters rendered in a smooth pixel art style.

The very title and heroine are rooted in Mexican history: Adelitas were women auxiliaries, supporting and fighting alongside men, immortalized in a corrido about their struggles during the decade-long Revolution that defined modern-day Mexico.

Guild Wars 2: Visions of Eternity Update ‘The Only Way’ Launches Next Tuesday

New Map “Eternity’s Garden” Introduces New Story, Masteries, Rewards, and More

BELLEVUE, WA – May 5, 2026 – Today ArenaNet® announced Guild Wars 2®: Visions of EternityTM ‘The Only Way’ launches on Tuesday, May 12. It is the second major update for the sixth and latest expansion to the award-winning and critically acclaimed MMORPG Guild Wars 2. This update expands the world with a new explorable zone, continues the epic story of the initial expansion release, and brings in new updates and rewards. 

The launch story for Guild Wars 2: Visions of Eternity had players investigating a series of secretive Inquest voyages to the fabled island of Castora, a mysterious area rich with ley magic. Ancient secrets were unearthed. The island’s guardians were overcome. And the story now picks up with the Commander tasked with stopping Vloxx, the newly-elevated Inquest leader who thinks his machinations are for the good of Tyria. The next five chapters of the story in this update bring the Commander to the new map of Eternity’s Garden.

To accompany the story, this release also brings new and updated features. Two new mastery tiers add new account-wide horizontal progression for players. Six new earnable expansion relics bring new combat-augmenting effects to character builds. New legendary accessories, one earned through PvE content and one from World vs. World multiplayer, are available for acquisition. And more elements of players’ look can now be managed through the Fashion Template feature released in February 2026. A refreshed set of Wizard’s Vault objectives, an earnable raptor mount skin, as well as a host of other rewards associated with the new map and content, round out the release. 

ArenaNet plans for one more major update to complete the content of Guild Wars 2: Visions of Eternity, including new story chapters, various quality of life enhancements, additional legendary gear to earn, new explorable maps, and additional challenging instanced content. Visions of Eternity is available on Steam and through the official Guild Wars 2 site for $24.99. Expansion customers will immediately receive access to all of the launch content as well as today’s release.
