Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe announced that Digimon Story Time Stranger will be released on 3 October 2025 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. The new trailer reveals the main plot of the story as players incarnate ADAMAS agents Dan Yuki or Kanan Yuki, who got thrown into the past to fight and save the Digital World, on the brink of collapse because of the Titans, collapse that would have terrible repercussions into the Human World.

During their quests to save the World, they will meet plenty of characters and Digimon, among which the Olympos XII, deities Digimon that will play a key role in the game’s story. They will also meet Aegiomon and Inori Misono, who both share a special link.

Digimon Story Time Stranger offers players the chance to team up and bond with their Digimon, by training, fighting, or spending time in the DigiFarm or use objects to enhance their capabilities. They will also engage in strategic turn-based battles with their bonded Digimon, using a mix of attributes, traits and skill combos to gain the upper hand.

Retail pre-orders are live now for all platforms, as well as digital pre-orders for PlayStation, while Xbox and PC digital pre-orders will come at a later date. Players can choose between four editions:

• The Standard edition (base game)
• The Digital Deluxe Edition, which includes, in addition to the game, the Cyber Sleuth Set Costumes as well as the Season Pass.
• The Digital Ultimate Edition which includes, in addition to the Deluxe Edition content, a Costume Pack with 3 Costumes per character along with three additional side missions, the early unlock of special Agumon and Gabumon, with their Digivolution conditions to specific Digimon already unlocked, Public Safety Suit Costumes & Special Supplies Setas well as the Cyber Sleuth BGM Pack.

The Season Pass includes 3 DLC packs that will be released later, each will include 5 Additional Digimon and an additional episode. The Golden Moai farm item is also included in the Season Pass.

Pre-orders for all editions will include the Uniform of Certain School costumes, as well as the Adventure Item Set, Agumon (Black) and Gabumon (Black) who both have an evolution route to a specific Digimon.

As Hugh finds himself needing to work with Diana to return to Earth, they must each rely on their own strengths and abilities to overcome the many obstacles in their path.
