August 28, 2025 — Metal Fest roars back into World of Tanks Modern Armor, and this year the spotlight is on the ultimate rock icons: KISS! The trailblazing performers bring their unmistakable rock sound and rebellious spirit to the game’s third annual Metal Fest, which kicks off today and runs through September 15. The in-game music event delivers an electrifying KISS-themed experience. Players can take on two thrilling challenges loaded with exclusive KISS-inspired rewards, try an all-new PvE mode on a specially designed map, enjoy daily gifts, and more.

This year, Metal Fest rolls out four one-of-a-kind Premium tanks, each inspired by a classic KISS character: The Demon, The Starchild, The Spaceman, and The Catman. These machines bring pure KISS energy to the battlefield. The Demon wields a hellish flamethrower, The Starchild unloads fast-and-furious damage with a three-round autoloader, The Spaceman blasts in with rocket boosters to “fly” across the battlefield, and The Catman’s guns scratch and claw through enemies with lightning speed. As an encore, each KISS Premium tank will blast “Rock and Roll All Nite” when players select it in the garage.

“Metal Fest in World of Tanks Modern Armor is pure rock ’n’ roll mayhem,” said Gene Simmons, founding member of KISS. “We’re bringing fire, power, and pure adrenaline. When KISS shows up, you know it’s going to be epic.”

The KISS experience goes full throttle, way beyond the tanks. All four KISS personas come alive as fully animated 3D Hero Commanders, complete with custom voiceover. Gene Simmons powers The Demon, while Paul Stanley brings The Starchild to life. Players can also set up their favorite tanks and customizable garages with 2D Standard Commanders representing the band members as well as their fans, Emblems, Inscriptions, and themed Garage Gear, cranking up the energy around every match.

It was my idea to give The Demon wings—something over the top that captured Gene’s persona while nodding to his iconic style. KISS pushed us to fully embrace the fantastical elements of each character. This is KISS reimagined for commanding tanks, each with a look unlike anything seen before.”

For the first time in its three-year history, Metal Fest is introducing an all-new “Rush the Stage” mode on a map designed especially for this event. The mode will run for two weeks, with players charging into battle in World War II tanks during the first week and Cold War tanks during the second. The objective is to capture three bases and destroy enemy tanks to earn points—the first team to reach 1,000 points wins and takes home great prizes! For those who prefer to play solo, a dedicated Personal Challenge will be available, offering a variety of exclusive KISS-branded rewards and discounts.

For one night only on Wednesday, October 8, Bethesda APAC invites fans to visit ACMI and celebrate the world of The Elder Scrolls Online, Bethesda’s award-winning online MMORPG. Player Night: The Elder Scrolls Online will offer fans exclusive afterhours access to the Game Worlds exhibition at ACMI. Here they will be able to explore how the universe of Tamriel was created with the local community, creators, and ZeniMax Online Studio’s Rich Lambert. 

ACMI’s Lightwell Space will be transformed into a one-of-a-kind experience for Elder Scrolls Online fans in addition to after-hours access to the Game Worlds exhibition. Fans can participate in a wide range of activities, including interactive experiences and themed activities to enjoy throughout the night, striking photo opportunities, immersive theming, and fan favourite ESO music. 

The universe of Tamriel has been an influential part of many gamers lives for over 30 years, offering a diverse continent full of adventure, intrigue, and stories. Today, 2K announced the new features and updates coming to The City* in NBA® 2K26, including a more accessible and competitive layout, all-new Crews, redesigned Parks, new leaderboards and so much more on PlayStation®5 and Xbox Series X|S, PC and Nintendo Switch™ 2. 

“The City has become the epicentre of NBA 2K and basketball culture,” said Erick Boenisch, VP of NBA Development at Visual Concepts. “Ever since the introduction of the Park in 2K14, it has been our dream to create a place where players can chase the win through competition, community, and status. With things like our new accessible layout, leaderboards, and the new Crews feature, The City is built to give players the opportunity to put Ball Over Everything.”

More updates include: 

• New City Layout: The City features a more accessible and convenient layout helping players get on the court faster than ever. No matter where they are standing, players can see just about every area in The City and quickly go from one place to another. On PlayStation®5 and Xbox Series X|S, players will be able to experience a smooth experience with more fluid movement and camera panning as The City will now run at 60 frames per second for the first time ever. 
• Season Parks: Park makes a return with bold new features to make every season and even every day a new experience. A new Park will be introduced every season including HD remasters of all four iconic NBA 2K16 MyPARKs andwill feature a realistic aesthetic with more natural and grounded real-world environments. Players can compete to become the Park MVP, go on a hot streak and get their name stamped right on the court for everyone to see or break a team’s winning streak and earn more VC with the Streak Breaker bonus. Upon launch, Season 1’s Park is a brand new locale called Skyline Park, set in a magnificent urban environment that captures the essence of hooping and competing on your favourite neighbourhood courts. 
• All-New Crews: Players can gather their friends and community members and create their own Crew, complete with their own logo and Crew level displayed in their MyPLAYER nameplate. Players can keep their Crew small with close friends or allow up to 50 players to join. As players ball with their Crew and complete weekly goals they will rise through the ranks of all 30 Crew levels and earn rewards in the process including Custom Crew logos, Custom branded Crew clothing, VC or REP multipliers and more!
• Leaderboards & Statues: Scattered throughout The City, the all-new leaderboards will highlight the best of best in a number of new categories. New Mode leaderboards track and spotlight the players with the most wins across various modes and a 12-foot statue of the number one ranked MyPLAYER in each mode will appear outside of that mode’s building for ultimate bragging rights. Players can compete to become the top ranked player in their respective region with the all-new Geo Rank leaderboard and earn a custom show-off flair shown during their pre-game intro. Crew leaderboards lets everyone know which Crew is currently the best in The City.
• Pro-AM Summit: The City will also feature the Pro-AM Summit twice a season, where players can compete in 3v3 or 5v5 tournaments to earn elite rewards.
• Street Kings: The new Street Kings mode offers players a place to sharpen their skills and battle against skilled CPU bosses. The Street Kings location takes over NBA 2K25’s Streetball courts, compacting them into one convenient location that features an impressive collegiate-style Roman-inspired architecture.
• Additional Updates and Features: The City features more new updates and features including all-new Beginner, Daily, Seasonal and Lifetime challenges, the ability to easily swap between MyPLAYER builds without leaving The City, and an updated MyCOURT, a dedicated place for players to work on their skills and more.

First Hands-on Demos and On-Site Events in Japan to Showcase Two Major Upcoming RPGs

At TGS 2025, The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin will be playable in Japan for the first time. Upcoming release from Bandai Namco Studios Singapore and Kakehashi Games will launch for PC and PlayStation 5 on September 3rd, despite [gestures at everything]

Tokyo, Japan – August 27, 2025 – Bandai Namco Studios Singapore and publishers Kakehashi Games today announced nothing in particular, confirming that origami-inspired action-adventure platformer Hirogami will maintain its September 3rd launch date for PC and PlayStation 5 as announced back in June. 

After originally announcing September 3rd as their launch date in June’s PlayStation State of Play showcase, Hirogami has also been featured in the Future Games Show Summer Showcase and recently returned from worldwide gaming expo, Gamescom. Following the long-awaited release date announcement for metroidvania Hollow Knight: Silksong from Team Cherry, many studios have announced launch delays out of the September window, but Hirogami won’t fold.
