Total-War-Warhammer-screenshot-07Creative Assembly and Sega released the first gameplay video for Total War: Warhammer today. The ten minute long demo was made with a pre-alpha build of the game, though the battle was scripted to ensure certain engagements happened at the right time.

Just Cause 3 Dev Diary Reintroduces Rico Rodriguez

just-cause-3-screenshot-002The staff of Avalanche Studios were asked what they thought about Rico Rodriguez, and they sure had a ton to say about the hero of the Just Cause series. The new Just Cause 3 dev diary features Rico, with many developers sitting down to talk about the changes and upgrades Rico will be seeing from a technical, story, and gameplay standpoint.

The usual technical improvements aside, Rico the person will be front and centre in the new game. While the developers admitted they passed over his personality in favour of the setting in previous titles, Just Cause 3 will be focused on Rico’s return to his homeland and the physical and emotional scars he bears from his previous two adventures.

LONDON, UK — July 30, 2015 — Today, Ubisoft® announced the development of ZOMBI, an upgrade of the acclaimed survival-horror game, coming as a digital download for the PlayStation 4 computer entertainment system, Xbox One and Windows PC on August 18, 2015.

After being one of the Wii U™ flagship titles in 2012, ZOMBI returns to challenge gamers on multiple new platforms to find out how long they can survive in dilapidated, infected London. For the second time in history, a great plague has shrouded the city in a fog of death. Thousands have died, or worse, been infected by a sickness more gruesome than death. Once again, this fear-fueled first-person shooter invites all players to dive into the horror, chaos and tension found in the best of the genre. The nail-biting survival experience has been optimized for PlayStation®4 system, Xbox One and Windows PC, using the power of the latest generation of hardware to bring gamers to a new level of horror.

Players will experience the original oppressive and intense elements that made ZombiU so innovative. The bug-out bag is a necessary component for survival for each player as it contains all the player’s tools, inventory, first aid kits, maps and more. With permadeath, players are faced with a death mechanic which puts them in the body of a different survivor each time they die. In order to retain the equipment they previously gathered in their bug-out bag, they are forced to track down their old, infected character. Should players risk it all to get their bag back or start scavenging anew?

About Wasteland 2
Wasteland 2 is the direct sequel to 1988’s Wasteland, the first-ever post-apocalyptic computer RPG and the inspiration behind the Fallout series. Until Wasteland, no other CRPG had ever allowed players to control and command individual party members for tactical purposes or given them the chance to make moral choices that would directly affect the world around them. Wasteland was a pioneer in multi-path problem solving, dripping in choice and consequence and eschewing the typical one-key-per-lock puzzle solving methods of its peers, in favor of putting the power into players’ hands to ad-vance based on their own particular play style.

The Wasteland series’ impressive and innovative lineage has been preserved at its very core, but modernized for the fans of today with Wasteland 2. Immerse yourself in turn-based tactical combat that will test the very limits of your strategy skills as you fight to survive a desolate world where brute strength alone isn’t enough to save you. Deck out your Ranger squad with the most devastating wea-ponry this side of the fallout zone and get ready for maximum destruction with the RPG-style character advancement and customization that made the first Wasteland so brutal. Save an ally from certain death or let them perish – the choice is yours, but so are the consequences.

The Wasteland’s hellish landscape has been waiting for you to make your mark… or die trying.

Bigmoon Entertainment Announces, “Demons Age”, for Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC

Brand New Dark Fantasy Turn-Based Role-Playing Game to Launch in Q1 2016

Gaia, Portugal — July 30, 2015 — Bigmoon Entertainment today announced Demons Age, a brand new title that brings together the characteristics of a classic turn-based roleplaying game with modern graphics and a gripping atmosphere. Demons Age takes console and PC gamers on a thrilling adventure in either single character or party mode in which they must explore ancient ruins, mystical places and mysterious dungeons while battling dangerous opponents along the way. Demons Age is slated to launch on Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC in Q1 2016. For more information about Demons Age, please visit: www.demonsage.com.

“We are all fans of dark fantasy and role-playing games, so many voices and ideas have gone into making Demons Age a game that fans of this genre will really enjoy”, said Paulo J. Games from Bigmoon Entertainment. “We didn’t limit ourselves to building just a classical turn-based RPG game, but wanted to create a game with the features and gameplay that we look for in a console or PC title, too”.

About Demons Age

Moragon has once again been invaded by Demons. The corrupted soldiers of the “Order” along with orcs and demons have swept the Peninsula of Moragon from north to south in a violent and bloody war against Elves, Dwarves, Halflings and Men. The adventure begins when the player washes ashore along the coast of this war ridden peninsula and is thrown into intrigue full of tragedy and betrayal. In line with classic turn-based roleplaying mechanics, Demons Age first tasks players to set up their character and later allows them to hire a party of diverse characters to help them on their adventure.

Each hired character has their own secrets and back-story, so players must choose their party wisely and beware of potential betrayals. Players can level-up their characters playing through the main story and also side quests, receiving rewards as they help the citizens of Moragon all the while searching for the cause of the mysterious event that has plunged the kingdom into evil darkness. Solving puzzles allows players to progress through the game, and they can find and equip a host of different weapons to defeat foes. Combining a lavish look with the dense atmosphere of a classic dungeon crawler, Demons Age is designed to appeal to new and old fans of turn-based fantasy role-playing games, and true to the genre. There is danger lurking around every corner.
