About Bladework Games

Bladework Games is an independent game studio striving to create a game that doesn’t just stand out, but defines its own genre. We can’t help it, we want it all: something new, something fun, something that stands out in a sea of same. We know we’re not the only ones searching for something fresh, something worth getting lost in.

Every game we make will be a gamble, and we wouldn’t have it any other way. If you’re looking for the familiar, you’ll find plenty of that elsewhere. But if you’re looking for something bold, something different, something that risks it for the biscuit, you’re in the right place.

To us, games should surprise, challenge, and delight…like stumbling upon a song you never saw coming but can’t stop playing. Our goal is simple: deliver unique, replayable, and approachable multiplayer experiences that leave a lasting mark until we become the very villain we once set out to defeat. Easy, see you at the finish line… or somewhere in the wreckage.

SURVIVE ‘TIL DAWN! BRINGS MUTANT-MULCHING TOWER DEFENCE MAYHEM TO PC IN 2027

Strategy veterans Black Lab Games put their own spin on action tower defence with fast-paced combat, dark humour, and plenty of scrap

Perth, Western Australia – October 7, 2026 – Long-running Perth game studio Black Lab Games, the developer behind Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector and Battlestar Galactica Deadlock, today announced Survive ‘Til Dawn!, a darkly humorous action tower defence game launching in 2027 on Steam.

Known for creating deep strategy games with action-packed presentation, Black Lab Games is bringing that experience to a new kind of challenge with Survive ‘Til Dawn!. Combining tower defence strategy with fast-paced third-person combat, players will scavenge a wonderfully wrecked wasteland for scrap, turn it into increasingly ridiculous death machines, and personally deal with anything that makes it through their defences.

Get your first look at the world of Survive ‘Til Dawn!, from the fight for humanity’s survival to its action-packed blend of tower defence and third-person combat:

The world’s cooked, mutants are everywhere, and humanity’s last hope is the Aegis, an anti-alien-spore machine that needs to recharge each night. Unfortunately, its nightly recharge cycle also leaves it vulnerable to hordes of mutants that would very much like to tear it apart.

Armed with a wrench, a boomstick, and whatever junk they can get their hands on, players will need to build and position their defences before the mutants arrive. Roadside scrap can be transformed into spinning spike traps, electric shock towers, volatile flame vents, gas-powered turrets, and plenty of other creations that would struggle to pass a health and safety inspection.

Every wave gets meaner, uglier, and more determined to destroy the Aegis. When the traps are no longer enough, players can jump directly into the fight, upgrade their weapons, and personally deal with whatever survives their carefully constructed defences.

Players can take on the apocalypse alone or bring a friend along in online co-op, working together to gather resources, build defences, and hold the line until sunrise.

Survive ‘Til Dawn! features a campaign that takes players on a journey through the wasteland, battling mutant lizards, feral nightmares, and plenty of other creatures along the way. For those looking to see how long they can last, “Mutant Rush” mode offers escalating waves of mutant mayhem with new upgrades drafted between rounds as players fight towards their inevitable demise.

For players who would rather skip the mutant splatter, the game’s over-the-top gore can also be replaced with balloon animals and silly noises, making the apocalypse a little more family-friendly.

Key Features:

  • Build Beautiful Death Traps – Turn collected scrap and parts into spinning spike traps, electric shock towers, flame vents, gas-powered turrets, and other mutant-mulching machines.
  • Strategy Meets Third-Person Action – Plan your defences, manage your resources, and then jump directly into the fight when the hordes arrive.
  • Survive ‘Til Sunrise –  Protect the Aegis during its nightly recharge cycle as increasingly dangerous waves put your strategy and firepower to the test.
  • Bring a Buddy –  Face the mutant hordes solo or team up with a friend in online co-op.
  • Tour the End of the World – Fight your way across a wonderfully wrecked wasteland in a campaign filled with bizarre environments and even stranger mutants.
  • Take on Mutant Rush –  Battle escalating waves of mutants and draft new upgrades between rounds to see just how long you can survive.
  • Gore… or Not –  Enjoy the mutant splatter or swap the blood and guts for balloon animals and silly noises.
  • The Apocalypse is Fun as Hell – Dark humour, colourful characters, and an ’80s B-movie attitude keep the end of the world from getting too serious.

Survive ‘Til Dawn! is currently in development at Black Lab Games and is expected to launch in 2027 on Steam. Players can wishlist the game now.

THE HAND IS CLOSING IN: LOSTBOUND IS OUT NOW ON STEAM

Tenkarider and Tambù Digital’s action-adventure roguelite launches today, challenging players to escape an ancient curse while the world disappears beneath their feet.

Milan, Italy – 6 October 2026. There is nowhere to hide. Indie developer Tenkarider, alongside publisher Tambù Digital, today launches Lostbound on PC via Steam, inviting players to enter a world where every step could be their last.

In Lostbound, the world is constantly changing, and every move you make can determine how long you survive. As players explore a mysterious, ever-shifting world, a relentless force known only as The Hand follows in their footsteps, destroying the ground behind them and steadily closing off their escape.

The only way forward is to keep moving, but moving without a plan can be just as dangerous as standing still.

Watch the Lostbound Launch Trailer below.

THE WORLD IS YOUR ENEMY

Every step in Lostbound leaves a permanent mark on the world. Retrace your route too many times, and The Hand will begin to consume the path behind you, forcing players to constantly think ahead and decide where to go next.

As routes disappear and safe ground becomes increasingly scarce, exploration becomes a strategic challenge. The world may offer a tempting shortcut, a valuable artifact or a mysterious dungeon, but taking the wrong path could leave you with nowhere to run.

DIVE DEEPER. GET STRONGER.

Scattered throughout the world are shadowy dungeons filled with powerful artifacts that can dramatically shape each run. Finding the right combination of tools and abilities is key to surviving longer and pushing further into the unknown.

But there is always a price for staying too long.

When night falls, The Hand emerges to hunt you through the darkness, turning exploration into a race against time. Players must decide when to push deeper, when to take the rewards on offer and when it is time to run.

NO TWO JOURNEYS ARE THE SAME

Every run in Lostbound presents a new challenge. Randomly generated worlds and artifact placements create different routes, opportunities and builds, forcing players to adapt rather than rely on a single strategy.

Failure is part of the journey. Each attempt offers new knowledge, new possibilities and another chance to push further into the cursed world.

Learn the routes. Experiment with different builds. Take bigger risks.

Then see how far you can go.

CAN YOU BREAK THE CURSE?

At the centre of Lostbound is a simple question: how far are you willing to go when the world itself is trying to stop you?

With its combination of retro-inspired exploration, roguelite progression and an ever-present threat that literally destroys the path behind you, Lostbound puts survival down to every decision.

The Hand is waiting.

Key Features

  • The World Is Always Changing – Every movement affects the world, while retracing your steps can bring destruction closer.
  • Run From The Hand – A relentless force pursues you, consuming the world behind you and making every escape route temporary.
  • Explore, Risk, Discover – Venture into mysterious dungeons to uncover powerful artifacts, but stay too long and The Hand will come for you.
  • Every Run Is Different – Randomly generated worlds and artifact placements create new challenges and strategies with every attempt.
  • Build Your Way to Survival – Experiment with artifacts and abilities to create different approaches to each run.
  • Learn From Failure – Every journey offers new knowledge and opportunities to push further into the Abyss.

LOSTBOUND IS OUT NOW

Lostbound is available now on PC via Steam for $6.99 / €6.99 / £6.99, with a limited-time 30% launch discount! A free demo also remains available on Steam, giving players the chance to experience Lostbound for themselves before committing to the full game.

Untangling the Evidence: Warhammer: 40,000: Dark Heresy Showcases Detective System

Sort through physical evidence, testimonies, rumors, lies and conjecture to find the truth or frame the inconvenient

Nicosia, Cyprus (October 6th, 2026) — Today, Owlcat Games revealed a new detailed look at the detective system, an integral part of Warhammer 40,000: Dark Heresy. Investigating crimes and heresy is a challenging job, the occupation requiring both a very specific skillset and an iron stomach.

Watch the new trailer to find out more:

Every case in Dark Heresy starts with a question: what happened to the missing miners? Who killed the Canonness? But as the acolytes of the inquisition soon realize, finding the answer is never simple or straightforward — and sometimes not even desired. They have to find physical clues, interrogate witnesses and suspects, follow trails with the help of the servo-ossarium and slowly build an overview of what could have happened.

The companions contribute what they can: Epione has medical knowledge, Haymar knows everything about survival, Laarthyr can give useful insights into xenos behavior, and so on. Players then must weigh the evidence, establish what they think happened, and then decide the best course of action: do they accuse the most likely suspect, or place blame on the suspect whose downfall would be most useful for their overall goals? It all rests in The Inquisitor’s hands to decide and take responsibility, because in Warhammer 40,000: Dark Heresy innocence means nothing.

Warhammer 40,000: Dark Heresy launches on Windows PC via Steam, GOG, and Epic Games Store, and consoles via PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
