About Fairy Fencer F: Advent Dark Force

Long ago, a war was waged between the Vile God and the Goddess.

The battle was fierce; the two were equally matched. Finally, both sides unleashed special weapons that contained fairies imbued with their power. Using this power, each god sealed away the other within another world. And so, time passed… The weapons that the Goddess and the Vile God left were called Furies, and the warriors who used them were called Fencers. Rumors arose that the Furies were so powerful, whoever collected them all would be granted one wish. As a result, Fencers fought each other endlessly to obtain them.

By chance, a young man named Fang happened to unwittingly become a Fencer, and saved a girl named Tiara. And she, too, was a Fencer. From that day forward, Fang found himself an important part of the battle between the Goddess and the Vile God.

Key Features

  • Three Stories, Three Paths! In the three stories to play – the Goddess story, the Vile God story, and the Evil Goddess story – friends become foes, foes become friends, and, based on your choices, multiple endings can be unlocked!
  • Three Ways to Fight and Fairize! Play in Easy, Normal, or Hard mode and switch the difficulty up whenever you want to balance the game to your playstyle!
  • Three’s a Crowd, Six is a Party! With up to six party members on the battlefield at a time, you can play as all your favorite Fencers!
  • Shape the World Around You! Customize weapons by fusing them with fairies and change dungeons stats through world-shaping. Even power up Fencers through the fairies’ power to transform, or fairize, during battle and change your world!

DUNGEON PUNKS BRINGS TAG TEAM BRAWLING, ARCADE-STYLE ACTION TO XBOX® ONE AND PLAYSTATION®4

DUNGEON PUNKS BRINGS TAG TEAM BRAWLING, ARCADE-STYLE ACTION TO XBOX® ONE AND PLAYSTATION®4

Hyper Awesome Entertainment’s Answer to Modern Corporate Greed is  Medieval Fantasy Combat in a Side-Scrolling Action RPG

Available Now for Xbox® One, PlayStation®4;  PlayStation®Vita, Windows® and OS X® Coming Later This Summer
NEW YORK July 26, 2016 – Hyper Awesome Entertainment today announced the release of its highly anticipated retro tag-team brawler, Dungeon Punks, for the Xbox® One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft, and the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system.  Dungeon Punks is a fast-paced, side-scrolling, Action RPG with a unique tag team fighting system and innovative local player vs player Brawl Mode.  Dungeon Punks is available now for Xbox One and PlayStation®4 for $14.99.  The PlayStation®Vita version will release on August 16 followed by a Windows PC and OS X release coming later this summer to Steam®.

A throwback to the arcade brawlers of the past but featuring modern fighting game mechanics and engrossing RPG elements, Dungeon Punks is filled with crazy magic spells, custom combo attacks and tag team-inspired tactical mayhem.  Set in a world of magic, mystery and corporate greed, players will discover loot and adventure as they seek to unravel the dark secrets of RezCorp in an effort take down the corrupt bigwigs of the resurrection insurance industry.

Dungeon Punks is a nod to the classic era of arcade brawlers and beat ‘em ups — when gaming was exciting and challenging, but still entirely accessible; when co-op was new and the camaraderie of a multiplayer adventure called you to the corner store for just one more round; when games were hard, satisfying and best experienced with friends,” said Dan Goldstein, Co-Founder and Developer at Hyper Awesome Entertainment.    “We wanted to make the game that we wished we could play, one that would take the best parts of fighting games like X-Men vs. Street Fighter and put them in the middle of a fantasy adventure full of devastating magic spells, custom combos, powerful weapons, interactive environments, power ups, and of course, rideable laser shooting unicorns…”

Dungeon Punks is a hilarious mash up of medieval times, magic and modern reality delivering players its own unique and quirky spin on the classic brawling genre.  Some of the many features include:

  • Multiplayer-Centric Design: Interactions between party members is paramount. How you use healing potions, power-ups, mounts, rage attacks and decisions about whether to stay or flee, all create a collaborative and ever-changing cooperative dynamic.
  • One-of-a-Kind Tag Team System: The game introduces a unique real-time tag team system that allows each player to control two heroes at once. Tagging in during combat allows you to craft custom combos by chaining together moves and spells from different members of your party, opening up new ways to play.
  • Innovative PVP Battle Arenas: “Joust mode” unlocks unlimited replay-ability via player versus player brawls to the death in every fighting location in the game. Each player gets a tag team of two heroes with separate health and mana, opening up a variety of play styles and strategies for defeating opponents.  The twist: each arena includes a Boss and his minions which you need to use as tactical assets to charge mana and damage your opponents!
  • Highly Streamlined RPG: Players can accept side quests given out by NPCs across the 12 epic levels, and between brawls they have some deep spending choices to make regarding their party’s equipment and spells.
  • Variety of Magical Spells and Team Attacks: Players can learn and upgrade spells and equipment for each party member, allowing players to custom-build their own band of heroes to suit their play style and strategy.
  • Powerful Creatures: Tame and ride powerful creatures like saber tooth cats, gorillas, and laser shooting unicorns. While riding, players can swing their hero’s weapon and control their mount’s special attacks at the same time.
  • Interactive Environments and Hidden Power-Ups: Various objects and interactive features placed throughout rooms introduce surprising, and often unpredictable, ways to take out enemies. Accidentally burning a spider egg-sac can result in an unpleasant surprise, but using lightning on it has quite the opposite effect. Players can discover hidden items around the world ranging from healing potions and enchantments, to electric eel eggs and dragon summoning scrolls.
  • PlayStation® Cross-Buy Compatible: Purchase of PlayStation®4 or PlayStation®Vita version unlocks the digital version on the other platform.

Catherine de’ Medici leads France in Civilization VI

Catherine de’ Medici leads France in Civilization VI

2K and Firaxis Games today revealed that Catherine de’ Medici will lead France in Sid Meier’s Civilization VI, launching on Oct 21st for Windows PC.

Born an Italian noblewoman, Catherine de’ Medici was wed to King Henry II of France and served as Queen from 1547 until her husband’s death in 1559. Her influence would extend beyond this brief period as Queen, however, as she went on to bear three sons who would each become King of France during her lifetime.

Her offspring each ruled France during a period of continuous civil and religious war. Despite the constant threat of complex and seemingly insurmountable conflict, Catherine kept the French monarchy intact as she championed both policies of compromise with the rebellious Protestant class and later more hardline stances against them. She was one of the most powerful women in Europe during her lifetime and was known to be a ruthless individual whose efforts inarguably kept the French monarchy in power during one of France’s most tumultuous periods.

RUNEFEST 2016 JOURNEYS TO THE EASTERN ISLES AS TICKETS CLOSE TO SELLING OUT IN RECORD TIME

RuneScape heads east with a new archipelago continent and a new venue for its annual community convention

Tuesday 26th July 2016, Cambridge, UK – RuneScape is setting sail for a brand new continent this October – The Eastern Isles – and RuneFest 2016, the iconic game’s fan convention, is set to celebrate the upcoming Polynesian-inspired destination! Taking place on Saturday 17th September at London’s Battersea Evolution, RuneFest 2016 will take attendees on an epic journey across the seas to the new oceanic land of islands. An initial segment of the continent, The Arc, opens today and contains the islands of Whale’s Maw, Waiko and Aminishi islands anchoring many other smaller islets. On these islands, the indigenous people have never heard of the player’s adventures, so gamers will have to start afresh, building back up their wealth and notoriety – even long-term players will be on a level playing field.

In addition to sharing further information about The Eastern Isles, RuneFest 2016 will see a barrage of main stage announcements, covering the latest news and future plans forRuneScape, Old School RuneScape, Chronicle: RuneScape Legends, and more. Festooned in the finery of the Eastern Isles, RuneFest attendees can expect to participate in themed activities, including a cosplay parade, challenges, Q&A sessions with key developers, meet and greets, a huge after-party, and a raft of other distractions and diversions.

“We can’t wait to meet up with our fellow ‘Scapers at RuneFest 2016 as they join us for an intrepid celebration as RuneScape pushes new horizons. We’ll be showcasing the new frontiers of the Eastern Isles and announce some of new content heading to RuneScape in the year ahead,” said David Osborne, lead designer, RuneScape. “We’ll also be unveiling our plans for other games in the family, including Old School RuneScape and its ever growing popularity in the eSports sector, mobile versions of Chronicle: RuneScape Legends, and the upcoming 0.5-player game, RuneScape: Idle Adventures.”
