The latest issue of Weekly Famitsu has revealed that Spike Chunsoft is planning on releasing a demo for New Danganronpa V3 ahead of its planned release in Japan. Oddly enough, the demo is going to apparently feature Makoto Naegi, Yasuhiro Hagakure, and Hajime Hinata as guest characters though they will apparently be in a story that will be different from the main game so as to let players try out some new systems without seeing any actual spoilers.

FUNimation Dragon Ball Super Dub News & Previews Released

funimation-dub-dragon-ball-super-promo-02

It’s been a long, long wait but after initial leaks several months ago, the release of the English simulcast on anime streaming services and then official confirmation from Funimation themselves that a Dragon Ball Super dub is being produced by them, we now have our first look at what the series will look like under the direction of Chris Sabat.

A voice cast list covering the first 16 or so episodes confirming that almost every voice actor from the FUNimation Dragon Ball Z dub will be returning with one notable exception. Laura Bailey will not be returning as Kid Trunks, being replaced by Alexis Tipton who I have been told is an almost perfect sound-alike and has an impressive list of credits to her name. Laura Bailey and Chris Sabat both responded to this change through Twitter, citing the strenuous nature of Kid Trunks voice on Laura’s vocal cords and her increasingly busy schedule as the main reasons for why she couldn’t reprise her role.

The two clips are combined into the one video above and features a scene with Mr. Satan (Hercule in censored versions) talking with Majin Buu and one with Goku and King Kai on his planet. Personally I was very impressed by the performances here both in delivery and how each voice sounds authentic to the best of that characters previous work. I compared the English script with the script used on the official simulcast and I can happily say it is very faithful.

In very related news, a while back we reported on the existence of a second English dub that will be used in English speaking Asian markets on Toonami Asia. This dub has nothing to do with FUNimation and is being produced by a company out of California known as Bang Zoom Productions. You probably won’t see this ever if you are reading this unless you actively seek it out, but it’s always interesting to have another take of the same series. You can check out that dub clip below if you’re interested.

The Siege Continues with Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege Year 2 Pass

tom-clancys-rainbow-six-siege-promo-art-12

Ubisoft has announced that they will continue to support their competitive FPS Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege with new content through 2017. The new year will bring eight, yet to be revealed operators from Spain, Hong Kong, Poland, and South Korea. Ubisoft has yet to reveal which units will represent each country. I’m making a wild guess that Spain will be represented by Grupo Especial de Operaciones, Hong Kong by the Special Duties Unit from the legendary Hong Kong Police Force, Poland by GROM, and South Korea by the Korean National Police Agency’s SWAT team. New maps are also coming.

Ubisoft will be following their current post-launch content scheme by releasing all maps for free and allowing players to buy new operators with in-game currency. For those wanting to skip the grind, the Year 2 Pass will be available for $39.95 AUD containing 600 Rainbow Credits, a premium subscription until February 7th 2018, exclusive cosmetic items, and access to all eight Year 2 operators seven days before the official release date. As an added bonus to Year 1 Season Pass owners, those who buy Year 2 will receive an extra 600 Rainbow Credits. Those who order the pass before February 7, 2017 will also get an exclusive obsidian weapon skin.

Finally, Ubisoft is offering two new bundles for those looking to start playing Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege. The Year 2 Gold Edition bundles the base game and the Year 2 Pass for $99.95 AUD. The new Complete Edition will have the Year 1 Season Pass and the Year 2 Pass along with the base game for $129.95 AUD. Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

During Early Access the development team will work on implementing new features, including the Eras feature, with unique scenarios and background stories. Moreover, the game will be tuned and improved with a strong focus on game configuration options, combat diplomacy and racial improvements.

Explore the Andromeda galaxy and see all it has to offer in the brand new Early Access trailer for Dawn of Andromeda available on Iceberg’s YouTube Channel.

Mike Domingues, lead developer at Greywolf Entertainment says, “We are delighted to finally have arrived at a point where we feel we are ready to show Dawn of Andromeda to the world. The journey isn’t over yet, and we are eagerly waiting for feedback from a wider audience to make sure we release the best game possible.”

Dawn of Andromeda is now available in Steam’s Early Access program at $24.99 with a 10% discount during the week of launch through Steam: http://store.steampowered.com/app/427570

  • Explore, expand, exploit and exterminate in this real-time space strategy game, featuring real-time combat in a dynamic and ever-evolving galaxy
  • New factions and characters can join the fray mid-game; artefacts, ruins, anomalies and a huge variety of fascinating elements are scattered throughout the galaxy and can yield new research opportunities. Various characters such as outlaws, merchants, travelers and others roam the galaxy
  • Asymmetric gameplay. Not all races discover space travel at the same time, some may have yet to discover it, some may have already built a mighty empire, and some races may be naturally stronger than others. However if you’d rather prefer a traditional 4X experience and start an entirely symmetric game, it’s up to you
  • Pre-designed, customizable and randomly generated races, each with their own unique backgrounds and traits
  • Accessible gameplay, featuring a highly-intuitive User Interface
  • Eras; unique scenarios, each with a pre-designed galaxy and background stories which you can play as one of the existing factions, each with their own victory conditions, traits, challenges and ongoing conflicts and relationships (Not Available at the start of Early Access)
  • Research incredible technology, from weapons so powerful they can destroy an entire planet, to Dyson Spheres
  • Explore ruins, anomalies and much more. You may even find artefacts you can study, projects you can start and come across interesting events and quests you can take on
  • In-depth diplomacy system. Make allies and enemies, but beware, each action you take can change how the rest of the galaxy will view you. Destroying an entire planet, or just praising or denouncing another race, can have a deep impact on the balance of the entire galaxy
  • Reduce micromanagement by appointing governors to your colonies and council members to your empire, all of whom can be leveled up. Each come with their own unique traits, happiness and experience
  • Multiple, customizable victory conditions, which can even be set to vary for each faction, changing how each faction operates and making for unpredictable friends and foes

KOEI TECMO EUROPE REVEALS CHALLENGING ‘ENDLESS ECLIPSE MODE’ FOR BERSERK AND THE BAND OF THE HAWK

KOEI TECMO EUROPE REVEALS CHALLENGING ‘ENDLESS ECLIPSE MODE’ FOR BERSERK AND THE BAND OF THE HAWK

Utilise Sub-Weaponry to Gain an Upper Hand Against Hordes of Humans and Demons Alike

Hertfordshire, 1st December 2016 – KOEI TECMO Europe today revealed a brand new ‘Endless Eclipse’ game mode, alongside new details on battle mechanics and alternative armaments on offer within Omega Force’s most brutal Warriors style title to date. Berserk and the Band of the Hawk is slated to launch on the 24th February 2017 for the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, digitally on the PlayStation®Vita handheld system and on Windows PC via Steam®. A selection of new screenshots released with today’s announcement help to introduce the new game mode, and provide a first look at in-game stages as well as alternate weaponry and abilities.

An unending swarm of enemies awaits those brave enough to take on the game’s Endless Eclipse Mode, where players can prove their worth as they go toe to toe with countless foes in the formidable Eclipse dimension. Offering a unique and challenging respite from the main story, the new mode has players fighting for their life as they rush to complete various missions to overcome the deadly Eclipse. Slashing their way through this realm will gradually present them with stronger opponents and harder missions and pit them to a grueling struggle for survival. Success comes with rewards however, and those who manage to withstand the challenge will find themselves better equipped to tackle the main game mode.

Berserk and the Band of the Hawk also features exciting new battle mechanics and sub-weapons to diversify combat and provide greater immersion into the dark fantasy universe. Alongside his or her weapon of choice, each character wields a potent sub-weapon offering unique abilities and effects, allowing players to gain the upper hand in tight situations. However, the extra boost of power comes at a price – unlike standard weaponry, sub-weapons become temporarily unavailable after use.

For example, alongside his Dragonslayer, Guts wields a crossbow and an artificial arm cannon allowing for quick-fire or explosive long-range attacks which clear all enemies in sight, whereas the fearsome apostle Zodd can perform brutal rush attacks to clear them from his path. Meanwhile the young witch, Schierke, has the ability to cast powerful magical spells and deal great damage to foes while afar, as well as summon companions to aid her in combat, making the magic conjurer a useful companion on the battlefield.
