A NEW WORLD DAWNS FOR TRAIN SIMULATION

A NEW WORLD DAWNS FOR TRAIN SIMULATION

Train Sim World Launching Early 2017 With Beta Coming This December

CHATHAM, Kent – Dec. 2, 2016 Dovetail Games, the multi award-winning developer and publisher of a range of simulation games, would like to invite simulation fans to join the beta for its brand-new upcoming train simulation, Train Sim World. Starting on Dec. 8, 2016, the beta will run until Dec. 19, 2016 and is open to anyone who purchases Train Simulator 2017: Pioneers Edition.

Train Sim World is built upon the foundation of Unreal Engine 4® technology and is thereby set to deliver the most technologically advanced train simulation experience on the market. The first iteration in the new series, Train Sim World: CSX Heavy Haul, which is due to launch in February 2017, will feature the stunning Sand Patch Grade route, stretching 60 miles across the Allegheny Mountains of Pennsylvania and Maryland in the USA. Players joining the beta will be able to access two key sections of this route: Cumberland Yard and Sand Patch Summit, giving them a taste of busy yard life and also allowing them to test their skills on a section of the route which offers a variety of challenging gradient changes.

Featuring fully customizable weather systems (a taste of which will be available in the beta), Train Sim World will offer more immersion, realism and authenticity than has ever been seen before in a train simulation. The beta will also introduce first-person mode, allowing players to walk around and explore the world, as well as interact with the trains. The CSX SD40-2 locomotive, included in the beta, allows full interactivity in the cab, so you can gain a complete understanding of how the train works and how it feels to be sitting in the driver’s seat with the controls in your hands.

Train Simulator has been our flagship series for over seven years now, and we’re delighted to be bringing our fans and players a completely new and fresh experience, based on the latest technology,” said Doug McConkey, business director at Dovetail Games. “However, Train Sim World is not just aimed at our existing players; we think all fans of simulations will find something to enjoy here. This will be a living, breathing and immersive world of all things rail, one that will evolve over time. When Train Sim World launches fully in 2017, what you will see will be just the tip of the iceberg; just the start of an experience that we plan to expand over many years to come.”

Train Simulator 2017: Pioneers Edition, which grants access to the Train Sim World beta, is available from Steam at a special bundle price of $45.00 and will be on sale until Dec. 7, 2016.

Brand New Content for Multi-Award-Winning Roguelike Adventure from Curve Digital and The Molasses Flood

[LONDON – December 2, 2016] The multi-award-winning The Flame in the Flood will make its PlayStation®4 debut early next year, as The Molasses Flood and Curve Digital announce a very special Complete Edition. The Flame in the Flood: Complete Edition is available exclusively for PlayStation®4 and contains a brand new Directors’ Commentary – which offers incredible insight into the design and development – a wonderful dynamic theme, two new system avatars, plus a host of gameplay enhancements, designed to offer the most complete The Flame in the Flood experience possible.

Released on PC and Xbox One earlier this year, The Flame in the Flood is a real voyage of the unknown through a visually beautifully, yet impossibly harsh wilderness. Taking place in post-societal America, players must traverse through procedurally-generated landscape, foraging for supplies, crafting survival tools and evading predators. It’s a hostile environment, with every fresh discovery providing players with reward or taking them a step closer to death.

The game was created by The Molasses Flood, a team of AAA refugees, with veterans members hailing from the likes of Irrational, Harmonix and Bungie. The team has contributed to massive critical and commercial successes, such as the BiosShock games, Rock Band, Guitar Hero and the Halo series.

“We’ve been huge fans of the game since its Early Access days, so we’re absolutely thrilled to be partnering with The Molasses Flood,” said Jason Perkins, managing director, Curve Digital. “It’s a game which is as deadly as it is beautiful and we’re excited to be bringing it to an even wider audience.”

“We’ve been chatting with the guys at Curve for ages about this,” adds Forrest Dowling, president and lead designer, Molasses Flood, “so it feels good to get this out in the open. We’ve always wanted the game to go as far and as wide as possible, so working with them to get the Complete Edition onto PlayStation was a bit of a no-brainer. The additional content and gameplay enhancements very much make this the definitive version – we can’t wait to get it out there.”

The Flame in the Flood: Complete Edition will be available on PlayStation 4 in January 2017. More details will be announced in due course.

Additionally, it will be playable exclusively at PSX this weekend at booth B1014 and B1015

Berserk and the Band of the Hawk ‘Endless Eclipse’ Mode Detailed

berserk-and-the-band-of-the-hawk-screenshot-51

Koei Tecmo has revealed a new feature for Berserk and the Band of the Hawk which is set to be released early next year. Like many “Warriors” titles, players can choose to step away from the story mode of the game and enter into what is titled this time around as Endless Eclipse Mode. In this mode players will be fighting against enemies in an endless battle in the Eclipse dimension with hordes coming after them, each one stronger than the last one. Completing various missions while facing off against these demonic creatures rewards the player in various ways and these rewards can be carried over to the main game.

The company also described that outside of the main weapons each character will have, various sub-weapons will also be available but thanks to their special abilities they have a cooldown after use meaning players will need to be careful of when they decide to pull them out. For example, outside of his Dragonslayer sword, Guts also wields a crossbow and an artificial arm cannon allowing for quick-fire or explosive long-range attacks which clear all enemies in sight.
