Indie Platforming Prodigies Metanet Reveal N PLUS INFINITY TIMES TWO, a Friendship-Ending High-Speed Party Platformer, Latest Entry in Acclaimed 22-Year-Old Franchise

Even things that aren’t your enemies can kill you in this relentless, momentum-mastering, competitive parkour multiplayer game

MONTREAL, CANADA (June 5, 2026) – Metanet, the developer duo behind the acclaimed franchise that has defined indie platformers since 2004, N (N, N+, N++) have today announced their latest experiment in pursuit of physics-based high-speed platforming perfection: N PLUS INFINITY TIMES TWO, the ultimate virtual couch party game with a low skill floor and no skill ceiling. https://store.steampowered.com/app/3040020/N_PLUS_INFINITY_TIMES_TWO

Announced today during Day of the Devs at Summer Game Fest via a stylish minimalist trailer, N PLUS INFINITY TIMES TWO has remixed the N series from the ground up with its unmistakable formula now perfected for virtual athletics on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Switch 2 next year.

Watch today’s announcement trailer to get the first glimpse at the game’s Friendship-Testing™ and true asymmetric co-op challenges, as well as its Rocket-Murder Simulating Couch-Ready/Tournament-Worthy™ Friendship-Ending™ competitive modeshere:

Master momentum as you dash across beautifully handcrafted minimalist levelscapes, avoiding obstacles and dodging deviously designed enemies. N PLUS INFINITY TIMES TWO hands would-be warriors infinite replayability and the highest level of competition yet in the N series, in this multi-layered multiplayer parkour platformer.

Originating as a flash game, N brought peerless platforming to over 100 million web surfers in the mid-aughts, with future entries in the franchise further refining the game’s tight, hardcore mechanics while folding in more co-op and competitive game modes. The new N PLUS INFINITY TIMES TWO is the cumulation of more than twenty years of experience, and Metanet’s take on a party platforming game where the problem posed by every level is a playground waiting for players.

Even things that aren’t your enemies can kill you – take fall damage, get pancaked on the ceiling, sabotage other players and manipulate the enemies in a deadly ballet of movement as you dash to victory. A menacing menagerie of meanies react to your every move in this smooth and unique platformer from the indie platforming trailblazers at Metanet.

The return of the World’s Best Platformer™ brings players multiple game modes perfect for testing their reflexes with multi-layered parkour platforming action: Five fresh flavors of online (and local) running (and jumping) await.

  • Trials and Co-op: N PLUS INFINITY TIMES TWO will still have the staples of the N franchise with the return of Trials, a reworking of the solo & hardcore modes of previous N games, and Co-op, along with a remixed version of Racing (lovingly referred to as Rocket Murder Time) as well as two other brand-new competitive game modes that will test friendships in some of the platforming’s most pulse-pounding action: One-Up and Team Tag.
  • Races in N PLUS INFINITY TIMES TWO keep up the blazing fast action fans will remember from past games, pushing up to four players to reach the exit of a level as quickly as possible, collecting gold along the way to boost their score, with one distinctive change. It’s not unlike a faster, sleeker version of Fall Guys, except when you reach the finish line you can blast a bazooka to blow your opponents back to the starting line.
  • One-Up, N PLUS INFINITY TIMES TWO’s first new game mode, pushes players to constantly perform better in fast-paced push-your-luck elimination contests. Get the most gold and reach the exit faster than someone else, and you’ll stay in the game. One trip up spells the end though, leaving you waiting for the next round.
  • Team Tag introduces the crown jewel of N PLUS INFINITY TIMES TWO as teams of two think cooperatively and coordinate strategically to hunt each other down. Ninjas must evade Hunters while collecting gold to raise their score, with each team switching roles between rounds to see who can earn the most and survive the longest. A deceptively simple concept, Team Tag quickly becomes a fast-paced game of chess as each team tries to outmaneuver the other.

Elevating the N PLUS INFINITY TIMES TWO experience are the franchise’s staple visual and auditory delights. Visuals consist of Metanet’s trademark minimalist style that can be swapped between dozens of different color palettes with their own tracing and particle effects that make each level and ninja pop off the screen. Players can also customize their own ninja with Funlockable™ cosmetics that are earned by simply playing.

In signature Metanet style, the game’s soundtrack comes with a megakiller globe-spanning soundtrack of 50+ hand-selected artists like Dusky and Cameo Blush, providing the perfect audio soundscape for precision running, jumping and failing.

Sourced by hand by Metanet from the smallest alleyways of Bandcamp, the soundtrack’s curation spans musicians around the globe, fueling an eclectic and offensively tasteful mix of electronic audio delights across a multitude of genres, subgenres and sub-sub genres.

N PLUS INFINITY TIMES TWO launches in 2027 on PC, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and Switch 2. To keep up to date with Metanet, follow the team on Bluesky: https://bsky.app/profile/metanetsoftware.com

Star Wars: Galactic Racer explores bitter rivalries at Summer Game Fest

Learn more about the runs-based story campaign and discover new location Derven Acos in the new trailer

Release Date: October 6th, 2026 | Players: 1-12 | Rating: Pending

Guildford, UK – June 5th, 2026Star Wars: Galactic Racer™, the upcoming Star Wars™ racing adventure made in collaboration with Lucasfilm Games, has shared a deeper look at what’s to come in the runs-based, high-stakes reinvention of racing. At Summer Game Fest 2026, fans caught a peek at the bitter rivalry between Galactic League champion Kestar Bool and mysterious challenger Shade, discovered new location Derven Acos, and had a first look at podracing action beyond the Mos Espa Circuit.

Star Wars: Galactic Racer invites elite pilots to join the Galactic League, an underground racing league born in the lawless Outer Rim, established by racing enthusiast Darius Pax. But while Pax may have founded the League, underhanded and well-connected racer Kestar Bool has become its champion, and will stop at nothing to maintain his grip on the title. With nowhere else to turn, Pax recruits Shade, a lone racer with a personal grudge against the Bool family, to enter the Galactic League and bring an end to Kestar’s reign before his corruption grows too deep to remove.

To prove their worth in the Galactic League, pilots will engage in a series of challenges designed to test their skills. The runs-based campaign sees players carving their own path through the League, choosing between different events as they progress with unique unlocks and new challenges at every turn. There’s no turning back once an event is chosen, and if a pilot crashes too many times, they wreck out of the tour and will need to regroup, rebuild and begin again. Only certain perks and unlocks earned in previous attempts are carried over to the next run. Racers will start each tour from scratch with new decisions and choices to make for another chance to take down league champion Kestar Bool.

Kestar and Shade may be the main characters in the Star Wars: Galactic Racer campaign, but there are many other pilots vying for the top spot. In the trailer, fans can catch a glimpse of Shade exploring the paddock, where fellow racers congregate to share stories, throw down challenges, and even provide support. Each planet’s paddock features the mechanic, Hibi, and her unique workshop. Here, Shade can fit new parts either earned or bought from Hibi herself, offering stat boosts and abilities to support each player’s racing style as they prepare for races across the circuit.

The newly revealed location of Derven Acos is the ultimate test in the Galactic League – a custom-built arena designed specifically for the racing league. Derven Acos features every planetary condition that racers will have encountered throughout the tour, all combined into a mighty gauntlet that will push a pilot’s skills to the limit. Racers will need nerves of steel and a well-tuned build for the showpiece events of the Galactic League.

Fans also get their first look at the iconic podracers being piloted outside of the Mos Espa Circuit, bringing these powerful machines to planets with new challenges to overcome. In addition to discovering the part podracing plays in the singleplayer story campaign, eager racers can choose to jump straight into podracing as soon as they start playing Star Wars: Galactic Racer through the Arcade mode and will get to experience unique podracer focused online multiplayer events for the very first time.

Star Wars: Galactic Racer launches for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on October 6th, 2026. It will be available in Standard and Deluxe editions, both physically and digitally, with a physical-only Collector’s Edition available for the biggest race fans while stocks last. Pre-orders for all editions of the game are available now. Visit starwarsgalacticracer.com for more details.

1666: Amsterdam Revealed: A Dark, Story-Driven, Action-Adventure Game from Patrice Desilets

Panache Digital Games unveils 1666: Amsterdam A dark cycle of power, debt, and reckoning begins

Montréal, June 5, 2026Panache Digital Games, the studio behind Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey, today unveiled 1666: Amsterdam, a dark third-person story-led action-adventure game from creative director Patrice Désilets, with a world premiere trailer showcased during Summer Game Fest.

A free playable prologue is available now on Steam and Epic Games Store. This standalone narrative teaser, lasting approximately 30 minutes, introduces the world, characters, and core mystery of 1666: Amsterdam

The full game is set to launch in Early Access on PC in 2026, with console versions planned for a later date. Store pages for both the prologue and the full game are now live.

Play the Prologue Now on Steam and Epic Games Store

What will unfold in Amsterdam did not begin there.
It was set in motion long before the first canal was dug, before the first stone was named.

In the year 1333, the contracts were sealed.
And ever since, the city has lain under their influence.

The Collector now stands invested.
As the cycle reaches its end, another begins.

About the Game

Amsterdam, 1666.

A city built on wealth, power, and sheer will, yet shaped by forces it did not forge. Entities known as the Originals have lived among its people for centuries, granted time, granted power, and the freedom to abuse both. That power is now owed.

Noa Brooklyn was born the Collector, raised by the Zaindaris for a purpose she did not choose. Aaron, drawn from 1999, now sees the world through the eyes of a cat.

This is where the cycle begins.

Before the first Esbat. Before the Collector realizes what awaits her. The Prologue of 1666: Amsterdam offers a first glimpse into a world shaped by centuries of hidden influence. Step into Noa’s Commencement as she takes on the mantle of the Collector, and begins to understand the role she was born to fulfill.

A choice must be made. A companion will walk beside her. This is only the beginning.

Prologue Key Features

  • Three timelines, one mysteryGlimpse a story unfolding across 1666, 1999, and the present day, each era revealing fragments of a larger truth.
  • Choose your companionA decision must be made early. Choose the one who will walk beside you, bound to your path.
  • Step into Noa’s CommencementTake on the mantle of the Collector and discover the role you were meant to fulfill.
  • The world behind the worldUncover the foundations of a universe shaped by centuries of unseen influence, where nothing is quite what it seems.

A Word from Patrice Désilets

“It’s been a long time coming, and I couldn’t be prouder of our team of nearly 70 talented developers in Montreal. For the past six years, we’ve focused on one thing above all else: the game itself. No fake footage, no vertical slices, just a playable experience evolving build after build, day after day.

Today, we’re finally ready to invite players into that process. The free prologue available now on Steam and Epic Games Store is only a small taste of what’s to come, an amuse-bouche before a nine-course dinner, an introduction to the world, its characters, and its different time periods. We hope players will enjoy discovering it as much as we’ve enjoyed creating it.
Merci and Panache Coliss!”

Patrice Désilets, Creative Director at Panache Digital Games

tinyBuild’s Multiplayer Dieselpunk Extraction FPS SAND: Raiders of Sophie Reveals June 10 Steam Launch Date at Summer Game Fest Showcase

Grab your friends and jump into the server slam now to experience mech-building, high-stakes desert scavenging, and intense FPS action

LOS ANGELESJune 5, 2026 – Publisher tinyBuild and indie developers Hologryph and TowerHaus welcome you to survive a desert world of action-packed, mech-fueled, multiplayer mayhem in SAND: Raiders of Sophie, coming to Steam on June 10! Customize massive, modular mechs, scavenge the vast desert, and face off against fearsome enemies and other ruthless players. Jump into SAND‘s open server slam playtest now through this weekend on Steam to experience the action for yourself early!

SAND is set in an alternate-history, dieselpunk world on the ruined planet Sophie, where an ecological disaster has evaporated the oceans. All that’s left are humans and their Trampler mechs, titanic mechanical moving beasts that can traverse Sophie’s sprawling wasteland. Working alone or in teams, humanity now scours Sophie’s far-reaching deserts, scavenging for hidden riches and fighting to keep them. For players seeking the thrill of extraction shooters without the brutal learning curve, or survival game fans tired of logging in to find their base raided, SAND offers a fresh alternative.

In SAND’s new server slam playtest, going on now, players will discover deadly new PvE Trampler mechs to face off against, as well as expanded weapons, Trampler customization options, and points of interest. There’s also the new Storm Dive Mode, featuring more risk and even greater rewards alongside a violent storm which progressively shrinks the safe zones on the map, pushing players to a final confrontation against each other with a massive Dreadnought shipwreck to loot as your prize!

Key Features

  • FORGE YOUR FORTRESS, DOMINATE THE DESERT: Design your Tramplers from scratch in the Trampler Editor before deploying into the world. Build your very own modular impenetrable fortress that can weather the deadliest of assaults. The only limits are your creativity and will to succeed!
  • SQUAD UP OR GO SOLO: Get your crew together, or go solo as you embark on expeditions. Deploy into the world, chart your course, and scavenge cities, ruins, shipwrecks and other remnants of a fallen world for loot.
  • MULTIPLAYER DIESELPUNK ACTION: Every city looted, shipwreck scoured or ill-timed encounter with fellow scavengers endured might just be your last, so keep your wits about you. Survive encounters with mysterious supernatural forces, fight or talk your way out of confrontations with other players, successfully make it to your extraction point, and escape to the safety of the orbital station with your loot, life and Trampler intact.
  • BRAVE THE DUNES: Test your builds and scavenge lower-tier items at your own pace in Voyage Mode, or raise the stakes with a shrinking map and escalating dangers in Storm Dive Mode for higher-tier loot and greater rewards.
  • PERSISTENT PROGRESS: Unlike traditional survival games, SAND eliminates the dreaded offline raid; your Trampler extracts with you at the end of each session. Build, fight, extract, repeat – without losing everything while you sleep.

SAND: Raiders of Sophie will launch on June 10 on Steam. Players can venture into the open playtest on Steam now. To learn more about SAND, visit the game’s website.

Former spec ops elites become cyborg war machines in Crossout

Dark Awakening update brings new modes, car parts and weapons

Gaijin Entertainment announces the release of “Dark Awakening”, a new major content update for the post-apocalyptic online action game Crossout. The update introduces Eclipse, a new high-tech faction made up of former humans from elite military and special forces units who have transformed themselves into robotic war machines. They have retained their minds and free will, but now serve as the ultimate defense system of the Oracle, an artificial intelligence antagonist whose safety they protect by destroying any possible threat.

Eclipse specializes in stealth attacks, ambushes and weakening enemies before the decisive strike. Their signature mechanic, Corrosion allows players to create weak spots on enemy vehicles or even deliberately redistribute damage across their own armor to protect critical components. The new season brings a range of faction-themed parts built around this idea, including the Wayfarer frontal wheel with a sharp side dash, the retractable Extremum shotgun, the dual-mode Vendetta turret cannon, the invisibility-focused Exodus shuriken launcher, the Ark cabin with a combat drone, and the Shroud module, which can temporarily weaken the player’s own connected parts.

The update also adds several limited-time brawls. Test Prototypes lets players try preset vehicles equipped with new season parts, while Squad Battle throws three teams of four into a Mexican standoff that becomes deadlier as a sandstorm reduces the playable area. Contract challenges four players to hunt assigned targets while hiding among their own doppelgangers, and Short Circuit pits attackers against defenders fighting over three generators.

The update also includes sound improvements, a new main theme for the season, improvements to lighting and shadows, and balance changes largely inspired by player feedback.

Follow Us is available at $10 / €10 / £9, with a 15% launch discount available for the first 7 days, bringing the price down to $8.50 / €8.50 / £7.65. The game also supports a Friend’s Pass, allowing a second player to join at no additional cost.

Each round begins with players choosing between two roles:

  • The Explorer (EXY): Bravely navigate a deadly, haunted environment
  • The Operator (OPY): Hang back safe in the van, hacking the playspace to protect their partner

Built on communication rather than complex mechanics, Follow Us creates tension by combining two different things: isolation and connection. Expect panic, shouting, and miscommunication. One wrong call can get your partner killed, and yes, it will probably be your fault. Each stage offers its own unique mechanics, ensuring that players are tasked with different types of communication-based challenges.

Available levels

  1. Ökaou (from the demo): A maze-like Ikea store. OPY guides EXY through the layout and can trigger light cameras to freeze the mannequins that come to life.
  2. A Night with DJ Susan (new): A “spot the difference” puzzle level: OPY and EXY don’t see quite the same thing, and players must communicate to identify the anomalies.
  3. Employee of the Month (new): An invincible enemy stalks EXY throughout the entire level. OPY controls doors and tracks the creature’s position through an electrical system to keep their partner alive.

Every mission plays with fear in a different way… but they all end the same way: shared panic, bad decisions, and laughter. The Explorer experiences isolation and danger in the field, while the operator suffers through helplessness and constant pressure. Every swap creates a fresh emotional scenario, making each playthrough completely different with unexpected communication conflicts guaranteed to create creepy co-op chaos! Using lo-fi chunky PSone-inspired graphics, everything in Follow Us aims for a clean, immediately legible aesthetic so anyone can hop right into the action and understand its horrific hijinks!

“You know when you’re watching a horror movie and you’re yelling ‘don’t go in there!’ to the characters on screen? Well imagine if that was an actual person you could communicate with in real time. That’s Follow Us,”said Hugo at Game Atelier.“One part horror game, one part heist movie, and all communications comedy, Follow Us effortlessly flows between high tension terror and hilarious hijinks. This Early Access launch will let players enjoy its first three stages and the game will constantly grow and evolve based on player feedback.”

The game is available in seven languages, with full text and menu localisation in French, German, Spanish, Italian, Polish, Brazilian Portuguese, and Turkish.
