.hack//G.U. Last Recode Announced for PlayStation 4 and PC

Many people attribute the .hack series with starting the whole “stuck in a video game/fantasy realm” genre and in many ways it also began the type of episodic nature that we see games today as each of the core storylines spanned across three different games. Thankfully it seems that Bandai Namco is going to delve back into the series as they have announced through the latest issue of Famitsu that they are working on releasing .hack//G.U. Last Recode for the PlayStation 4 and PC. This will be an HD remaster of the entire PlayStation 2 RPG series originally developed by CyberConnect2.

The title is being made partly due to the 15th anniversary of the series and as we’ve learned through the latest information, will feature a number of improved features as well as the standard graphical upgrades. This includes various things such as an increase to movement speed, item menu shortcuts, increasing the maximum number of items you can hold, applying various improvements made in the second and third game to the first game, and more.

Days Gone Gameplay Shown at E3 2017

During their E3 2017 press conference a brand new video was released for Sony‘s upcoming Days Gone zombie apocalypse game. Set in the beautiful high desert of the Pacific Northwest two years after a pandemic has transformed the world this video is meant to give us a more intimate glimpse into Deacon’s life as a mercenary in a world where almost everything wants to kill him.

The biggest threat in Days Gone isn’t Freakers – it’s other people. Bad people. Marauders, Squatters, Drifters, Raiders – call them what you will, if you step outside the relative safety of the encampments, they will try to kill you and you’ll see an example of that in the video. Currently Days Gone does not have a set release window but you can check out the video as well as a handful of new screenshots below.
