Persona 5 Royal Trailer Focuses on Haru Okumura

Atlus is continuing their series of character introduction trailers for Persona 5 Royal and this time around they are focusing on the slightly neglected Haru Okumura, who appears quite late in the game compared to the rest of the cast. In the video, found below we see Haru helping the rest of the group gather garbage to recycle before having a nice chat with Morgana. Of course this is followed by a team up attack featuring her riding Morgana’s vehicle form while firing her grenade launcher.

This is followed by an appearance of Haru’s father in what is also a new scene. Currently Persona 5 Royal is set to be released in Japan on October 31st for the PlayStation 4 and has already been confirmed for Western release sometime in 2020.

Atelier Ryza Introduces Lila, Kilo, and Agatha

Some new information and a closer look at a number of characters in Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout has been released by Gust and Koei Tecmo with most of the focus being placed on Lila Decyrus, a character that will eventually join Ryza’s party in some form. Lila is a female soldier that is full of mystery and possesses high combat capabilities, allowing her to teacher Ryza and the rest of her friends how to properly fight. She is a bit blunt at times and is a rather calm and collected fighter though she does seem to be exploring the island in search of a certain something.

Also introduced slightly are the shaman Kilo Shiness who fights on for something important to her and is someone players will run into in unusual places as well as Agatha Harmon who is the leader of the village’s group of defenders who looks after Ryza and the rest. Currently Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout is set to be released in Japan on September 26th with a North American release coming on October 29th and November 1st for Europe for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

Rune Factory 5 Teases Main Characters

Earlier this year fans of the Rune Factory series were delighted to hear that a new entry in the franchise would be coming alongside an enhanced version of Rune Factory 4 and while details have been scarce on the game, a new trailer from Marvelous at least teases some new details. In the video, found below, we see the exterior of a house, a sampling of monsters both 2D and 3D, as well as the outline of what the main characters will look like in this release.

The company has also detailed that when Rune Factory 5 is released on the Switch in Japan in 2020 it will also feature bonuses for players who have save data from Rune Factory 4 Special when playing, with two characters appearing in the game.

Project Sakura Wars Details Combat and More

Sega has revealed plenty of new details for Project Sakura Wars alongside the Japanese release date for the game. While already confirmed for Western release in Spring 2020 the game will now be releasing in Japan on December 12th for the PlayStation 4. The company also detailed the fact that unlike the previous strategy based combat in the series the game will now feature more action based combat that will take place while adventuring throughout the game. Combat will be done using the characters’ mechs that all have unique abilities and can chain combos and special attacks together to defeat enemies.

Those who want to see every element of the Project Sakura Wars event can find not only a simple trailer but also the entire event below. The event features a number of cutscenes being shown between characters as well as footage of the game’s combat systems.

New Gemini Man Featurette Showcases New Film Tech

Paramount Pictures has dropped a new featurette for Gemini Man, their film produced by Skydance Media (also producing the new Top Gun) and Jerry Bruckheimer. Interestingly, the film is starring and co-starring Will Smith.

The featurette goes into detail about how the film showcases new digital special effects technology to digitally alter and de-age Smith to play a younger version of his own character. The featurette goes to great effort to highlight this as an evolution in cinematic technology whereby an actor’s face is entirely replaced by a digital replacement.

Digital Nintendo Switch Version of Award Winning RPG Launches with White March: Parts I & II

Baltimore, MD – July 26th, 2019 – Independent games publisher Versus Evil in partnership with Obsidian Entertainment today announced that Pillars of Eternity: Complete Edition will launch on Nintendo Switch on August 8th for $49.99 / € 49,99 / £ 44.99. Consumers can now digitally pre-order the game through the Nintendo Switch eShop and receive a 20% discount on the game.

Nintendo Switch players and newcomers to the Pillars universe will get to experience the deep sense of exploration and discovery in a meticulously crafted RPG adventure that was made possible by over 70,000 backers on Kickstarter. Not only will players journey across an original fantasy realm filled with monster infested dungeons and challenges, but they’ll also explore the expanded world and content of the games two part DLC, The White March: Parts I & II.

Slated to launch October 29, 2019 for the Nintendo Switch™, PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, and Windows PC via Steam®; players will follow the exploits of the teenage tomboy, Ryza, and her band of mischievous friends on a heart-warming adventure – filled with magic, mystery, and self-discovery.

Throughout her journey, Ryza will rely upon her newfound powers of synthesis; creating items which will help her overcome any obstacle in her path, including the powerful new threat facing her beloved hometown. In fact, Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout features a completely revamped synthesis interface, which clearly displays the required materials and effects that can be added to items at a glance. This new ‘Linkage Synthesis’ system features a fixed number of cells that players can unlock via strategic item placement – extending a variety of different results imbued onto the final product depending on the way the cell branches. Special change recipe cells can also be uncovered to unlock new recipes, enabling aspiring alchemists to experiment with different items while discovering exciting new results.

The new ‘Item Rebuild’ process then allows for these created items to be used again during synthesis. Rebuilding an item offers the chance to make it stronger than it was originally built – the more times an item is rebuilt, the more superior it will become. However, rebuilding an item also causes the amount of dexterity required to increase, limiting the amount of characters who will be able to us them. Choosing between item strength and ease of use is now vital when planning battle strategies.

In addition to the synthesis system information, a charming new trailer for Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout was also released; along with various images of some of the colorful characters Ryza will meet on her journey including: close childhood friends, Lent and Tao; the courageous merchant’s daughter, Klaudia; the protector of Rasenboden Village, Agatha; the mysterious wandering alchemist, Empel; the cool and composed wandering warrio, Lila; and the young sprit, Kilo.

CornBilt Steams into Gen Con 2019 with LocoMotives
