Alfa Romeo Racing ORLEN esports stars shine over the weekend

Alfa Romeo Racing ORLEN esports stars shine over the weekend

Hinwil, 12 May 2020 – The weekend produced wins, podiums and very positive results all over the board for the Alfa Romeo Racing ORLEN esports racers, with Antonio Giovinazzi finishing in P7 in a very competitive Spanish Virtual Grand Prix, ahead of Thibaut Courtois in 11th; Bardia Boroumand claiming P2 and Daniel Bereznay in fourth in the Pro Exhibition Race; and Bereznay winning race two in the Veloce “Not the GP” Belgian race.

It was redemption, at last, for the team during the latest round of esports races: banished were the technical gremlins, the game freezes and the other misfortunes that, without fault to our drivers, so negatively influenced our previous rounds.

Antonio, so often relegated to the sidelines by game crashes, was finally able to show his talent, running in the front positions for the majority of the race and eventually claiming a top-10 finish, while Real Madrid goalkeeper Courtois produced a clean, effective performance to finish in P11, ahead of some big names from motorsport and as the lead footballer.

In the Pro Exhibition race, Alfa Romeo Racing ORLEN had a commanding performance; Bardia Boroumand started in pole position and, while he was unable to contain the attacks of Frederik Rasmussen, he claimed his first podium for the team with a fine second place. Daniel Bereznay was in contention for the final spot on the podium for the entirety of the race, eventually finishing fourth.

The Hungarian was in fine form on Saturday, in the Veloce “Not the GP” in Belgium. On the hallowed racetrack of Spa-Francorchamps, Daniel claimed P3 in race one, before a dominating win in race two.

The uptick in performance and the resolution of the glitches holding the team back are hopefully a good omen for the next rounds of the esports competitions.

Antonio Giovinazzi (P7, Virtual GP; DNF/DNF, Not the GP): “Finally we left the technical issues behind us and we were able to complete the race. Our first objective was to see the chequered flag, now we have done that and we can go back to focussing on performance. Because of the freezes, I didn’t have the chance to train as much as I would have liked, but for the next race we’ll prepare better and hopefully the results will show that on track.”

Thibaut Courtois (P11, Virtual GP): “I am really happy for the performance we produced as a team. Daniel [Bereznay] told us to go on medium tyres and it was a good strategic call. We had good pace and to finish where I did, in front of real drivers, is definitely a good result. I tried to keep out of trouble at the start: it cost me some time, but I didn’t want to ruin my race by taking risks. In the end, it was a fun experience and it was great to race for Alfa Romeo Racing ORLEN. I am looking forward to the next time.”

Daniel Bereznay (P4, Pro Exhibition race; P3/P1, Not the GP): “I really enjoyed the weekend of racing. On Saturday, streaming in front of more than 40,000 people on my YouTube channel, I was involved in some very fun and clean fights on track. I was racing for fun, not the ultimate result, but in the end the position was great. The Pro Exhibition race was always going to be difficult because Spain is one of my weakest tracks. I was really happy with P4 in qualifying, then in the race I was close to overtaking Nicolas Longuet for P3: we ran side by side for one and a half sectors, but he was smart, placed his car well and I couldn’t pass. Frederik [Rasmussen] was uncatchable but my team mate Bardia was amazing: he was very consistent, played for the team and raced smartly. I am happy for the team with second and fourth, and I can’t wait for the next race.”

Bardia Boroumand (P2, Pro Exhibition race): “First podium in just my second esports race, I am really happy with how the race went. I started on pole and did all I could to keep the place, but Rasmussen was so fast and fully deserved the win. I didn’t do mistakes, pitted at the right time so I don’t have regrets. We’ll try to go one better in the next one.”

Harvest Moon: One World Coming to Switch

Screenshot from Harvest Moon: Light of Hope

It looks like another new Harvest Moon game is on the way from Natsume and Rising Star Games by the name of Harvest Moon: One World but this time around details are being kept rather close to the chest at the moment as the only details come in the form of a logo, and a description stating that it will feature an all new engine and graphics.

It does appear that the game may be a bit different than others as it even teases the fact that the world is one without tomatoes, strawberries, and cabbage and players will be exploring beyond their hometown and across the world.

As usual, it is worth noting that the Harvest Moon games being developed by Natsume are different from the ones that the company handled years prior as that series is now titled Story of Seasons and has been handled by Marvelous since 2014.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel IV Story Trailer Released

Inuyasha Sequel Yashahime: Princess Half Demon Revealed

It has been over ten years since the Inuyasha anime came to a conclusion a couple of years after the original manga wrapped up and it looks like fans of the franchise can now look forward to a sequel as it has been announced, and confirmed by Viz Media, that a sequel series is in the works by the name of Yashahime: Princess Half Demon and is currently slated to air sometime this fall season with Viz handling the series’ debut in the West.

Yashahime: Princess Half Demon is described by Viz as following the daughters of both Sesshomaru and Inuyasha as they set out on a journey that transcends time. In Feudal Japan, Half-Demon twins Towa and Setsuna are separated from each other during a forest fire. While desperately searching for her younger sister, Towa wanders into a mysterious tunnel that sends her into present-day Japan, where she is found and raised by Kagome Higurashi’s brother, Sota, and his family.

Ten years later, the tunnel that connects the two eras has reopened, allowing Towa to be reunited with Setsuna, who is now a Demon Slayer working for Kohaku. But to Towa’s shock, Setsuna appears to have lost all memories of her older sister. Joined by Moroha, the daughter of Inuyasha and Kagome, the three young women travel between the two eras on an adventure to regain their missing past.

Death end re;Quest 2 Introduces Mai and Her Friends

Some new details for Death End re;Quest 2 were revealed by Idea Factory International today as the company has focused on introducing the main character as well as her allies in the upcoming Compile Heart developed sequel that is set to be released sometime later this year for the PlayStation 4 and PC. Players will see the story through the eyes of Mai Toyama, as she searches for her younger sister in the mysterious town of Le Choara.

The town has many hidden secrets that players will begin to discover over time, and may even run into a few familiar characters that are introduced below:

Mai Toyama: A girl living at the Wordsworth Women’s Dormitory, an orphanage located in Le Choara. Mai’s troubled background begins with the death of her father. Abandoned and orphaned, Mai is discovered in her home by a social worker. Mai’s quiet, gloomy disposition makes it difficult to cope with the loss of her family. She is extremely intelligent but has no formal education, resulting in an imbalance between her knowledge and emotions, which occasionally leads to unexpected outbursts.

Rotten Dollheart: A girl living at the Wordsworth Women’s Dormitory in Le Choara. She goes by the nickname “Rottie.” Many of her classmates see her as bright, kind, and sophisticated. Apart from being caring and attentive to her friends, she wields a curious mind. Solving riddles is one of her favorite hobbies. Her vivacious personality can be intense. She seems very interested in Mai.

Liliana Pinnata: A young girl living in the Wordsworth Women’s Dormitory in Le Choara. She believes her father’s cause of death to be demonic possession. His death devastated her mother, who began abusing Liliana to cope with the pain. Her family’s demise inspired her to become an exorcist. She is youthful, but eloquent. Deep down, she longs to see her mother once more.

Shina Ninomiya: A former game designer who worked for the Japanese company, Enigma Games. With the help of Arata Mizunashi, she helped create the VRMMORPG, “World’s Odyssey.” She is aware of the world’s degraded state after the events of the previous game thanks to Arata’s assistance. Years after the completion of World’s Odyssey, Arata went missing. Shina is believed to have gone searching for him…
