Fable Announced for Xbox Series X and PC

It has been many years since the Fable franchise has been heard from but it looks like the series will finally be seeing something of a revival. During their Xbox Games Showcase Microsoft has revealed that developer Playground Games is working on Fable for the Xbox Series X and the PC sometime in the future. This announcement was accompanied by a cinematic trailer that fits the comedic tones of Fable quite well.

Considering the game is simply titled Fable and is described as “a new beginning for the legendary franchise” the game will likely be seen as something of a reboot and feature a number of things that were never part of the original three games, but for now all we can do is wait for more to be revealed in the future.

Avowed Revealed by Obsidian Entertainment

It looks like Obsidian Entertainment is dipping their toes into the fantasy realm once more as the company revealed during the Xbox Games Showcase that they are working on a brand new first person action RPG by the name of Avowed. No release window for Avowed was given but it will be coming to the Xbox Series X and PC when it does release.

Details as to what to expect from the game are scarce but it was mentioned that the setting will be the world of Eora, the same one that the Pillars of Eternity franchise has been set in. For now you can find the reveal trailer below.

Psychonauts 2 Gets a Heavy Dose of Jack Black in New Trailer

A brand new trailer for Psychonauts 2 has been revealed by Microsoft and Double Fine Productions and while it does feature a bunch of new gameplay footage as well as reveal the fact that Jack Black will not only be singing in the game but also voice a character, but also that the game has slipped into a 2021 release window for the Xbox Series X, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.

This trailer shows Raz hot on the mole’s trail but there’s a catch: the brain containing information he needs has been left in a jar for way too long. Using his ability to leap into minds, Raz works with the brain’s owner (a mysterious ball of light voiced by Jack Black) in order to reawaken their lost senses.

In this new level, Raz’s companion teaches him the mind-bending “Time Bubble” ability, which can be used to slow down moving objects or obstacles to create makeshift platforms, or freeze fast moving enemies long enough to PSI-Blast them into oblivion.

Warhammer 40,000: Darktide Revealed for Xbox Series X and PC

A new Warhammer 40,000 game is on the way and fans of co-op games will likely be happy as well as developer Fatshark has announced that Warhammer 40,000: Darktide will be releasing on the Xbox Series X and PC sometime in 2021. This four player co-op action game is set in the hive city of Tertium where, in the depths of the hive, the seeds of corruption threaten an overwhelming tide of darkness.

A heretical cult known as the Admonition seeks to seize control of the planet Atoma Prime and lay waste to its inhabitants. It is up to you and your allies in the Inquisition to root out the enemy before the city succumbs to Chaos. A handful of screenshots and the reveal trailer can be found below.
