CHAPTER ONE – ‘TRANSFORMERS: WAR FOR CYBERTRON TRILOGY: SIEGE’ PREMIERES ONLY ON NETFLIX TODAY

WHAT: Netflix and Hasbro, Inc., in partnership with Rooster Teeth, today premiered Chapter One – SIEGE – of the highly anticipated TRANSFORMERS: WAR FOR CYBERTRON TRILOGY. The Series raises the stakes of the Autobot and Decepticon war with Chapter One having six, twenty-two minute episodes, complete with a new animation look and style that presents the TRANSFORMERS bots like you’ve never seen them before. The TRANSFORMERS: WAR FOR CYBERTRON TRILOGY plunges us deep into events that live at the heart of this legendary franchise, with SIEGE shining a spotlight on a critical timeframe in TRANSFORMERS history on Cybertron.

TRANSFORMERS: WAR FOR CYBERTRON TRILOGY: SIEGE begins in the final hours of the devastating civil war between the Autobots and Decepticons. The war that has torn apart their home planet of Cybertron is at a tipping point. Two leaders, Optimus Prime and Megatron, both want to save their world and unify their people, but only on their own terms. In an attempt to end the conflict, Megatron is forced to consider using the Allspark, the source of all life and power on Cybertron, to “reformat” the Autobots, thus “unifying” Cybertron. Outnumbered, outgunned, and under SIEGE, the battle-weary Autobots orchestrate a desperate series of counterstrikes on a mission that, if everything somehow goes right, will end with an unthinkable choice: kill their planet in order to save it.

Rooster Teeth (RWBY, gen:LOCK) is producing the original series for Netflix, and Polygon Pictures (Godzilla, Knights of Sidonia) is serving as the animation studio. TRANSFORMERS veteran F.J. DeSanto (Transformers: Titans Return, Transformers: Power of the Primes) is serving as showrunner on the series with several contributing writers, including George Krstic (Megas XLR), Gavin Hignight (Transformers: Cyberverse), and Brandon Easton (Agent Carter, Transformers: Rescue Bots).

The Series voice talent cast includes Jake Foushee (Optimus Prime), Jason Marnocha (Megatron), Linsay Rousseau (Elita-1), Joe Zieja (Bumblebee), Frank Todaro (Starscream), Rafael Goldstein (Ratchet), Keith Silverstein (Jetfire), Todd Haberkorn (Shockwave, Red Alert), Edward Bosco (Ultra Magnus, Soundwave), Bill Rogers (Wheeljack), Sophia Isabella (Arcee), Brook Chalmers (Impactor), Shawn Hawkins (Mirage), Kaiser Johnson (Ironhide), Miles Luna (Teletraan I, Cliffjumper) and Mark Whitten (Sideswipe, Skywarp).

More details regarding Chapter Two TRANSFORMERS: WAR FOR CYBERTRON TRILOGY: EARTHRISE and Chapter Three TRANSFORMERS: WAR FOR CYBERTRON TRILOGY: KINGDOM coming soon.

Take to the Skies in New Comedic Co-Op Time Management Simulation — Shakes on a Plane — from Assemble Entertainment

Being a Flight Attendant Has Never Been…Worse! Race Against the Clock to Complete Tasks 30,000 Feet Up Whilst Playing Alongside Completely Unqualified Strangers From Around the Globe

WIESBADEN, GERMANY (July 30, 2020) — Publisher Assemble Entertainment, best known for point-and-click adventure Leisure Suit Larry – Wet Dreams Don’t Dry, and developer Huu Games today announced Shakes on a Plane for Windows PC and Nintendo Switch. Available this November, Shakes on a Plane is a co-op (or solo) time management game that stirs up every preconceived notion about what life is like for an airline cabin crew. There’s high-flying fun — literally — with elevated humor to match! Take on difficult passengers, troublesome colleagues, and race against the clock to complete tasks amidst total chaos!

“We are thrilled to add Shakes on a Plane to our expanding roster of truly unique titles,” said Assemble Entertainment CEO Stefan Marcinek. “It’s got the perfect touch of humor common in many of our games, along with a compelling storyline perfect for anyone craving something more offbeat. We’re anxious to get this into the hands of simulation fans and casual players alike!”

Life as part of an airline cabin crew can be so tiresome…so repetitive…that is, unless it’s a crew of strangers who have been mysteriously abducted from all over the globe and forced to work together 30,000 feet above the ground! Even though it might look like total chaos, the daily grind of a cabin crew is really a fine-tuned and highly organized operation. Before the passengers arrive and screw everything up, that is. What could go wrong? Well, let’s start with para-dropping troublesome passengers out of the plane while cleaning knee-high piles of vomit to get this wacky adventure soaring.

Watch the official Shakes on a Plane announcement trailer:

Inspired by acclaimed chaotic co-op titles such as Overcooked and Unrailed, Shakes on a Plane challenges players to work together with the odds stacked against them. While there are plenty of laughs to be had, Shakes on a Plane encourages coordination and teamwork with simple controls and easy-to-learn, difficult-to-master gameplay mechanics.

Additional Features Include:

  • Dangerously Difficult: No matter how unreasonable and ungrateful the passengers are, or how outlandish their demands may be, the cabin crew must make it work. Every attendant has a job to do, no matter how vile.

  • Quirky Co-Workers: Each attendant in the crew has a different outlook on life, and in turn, a unique special ability. Take Mr. Yrman for example — he was fed up with life as a prison guard, so becoming a flight attendant was the natural next step. He’s also a passionate knitter.

  • Fine Dining: As everyone knows, airline passengers will only accept the best of the best when it comes to in-flight cuisine. While you may not be boasting a Michelin Star, the crew is counting you to work as a team to produce the very best shakes, burgers, coffee, and more.

Shakes on a Plane will be available for Windows PC via Steam and Nintendo Switch via the eShop this November. At launch, the game will be available in English with optional subtitles, with more languages to come.

For the latest up-to-date news about Shakes on a Plane, follow Assemble Entertainment on Twitter, Instagram, “like” on Facebook, and join the official Assemble Discord server.

New trailer reveals the unique story of sci-fi strategy-adventure game

Duesseldorf/Germany, July 30, 2020 – Drone Swarm, the upcoming sci-fi strategy adventure game for PC will offer space fans not only control over a swarm of 32,000 drones but also an exciting story that will catapult them directly into a gripping fight for mankind’s survival in the vast expanses of an unknown galaxy. Your main mission is to find a New Earth for the remaining human survivors after a catastrophic attack by the swarm you now control has devastated Earth. Now that everything you once knew has been reduced to ashes, you have become humanity’s last hope.

The end of Earth

21st January 2111 – Out of nowhere a gigantic sphere arrived in our orbit and a swarm of alien drones attacked Earth. This was the day life as we knew it came to an end. Families were ripped apart and cities destroyed, but people fought to survive until the very end. Mankind however did not stand a chance. Carter, an ex-soldier, and his brother Ayden tried to save as many helpless inhabitants of their city as possible – but when the military unleashed all available nukes in a last desperate attempt of defense, the fires of apocalypse consumed the planet.

The last of hope of mankind

When Earth laid in ruins and only a few survivors were left to hopelessly fight the swarm, Ayden subconsciously found out that he is the key to end this destruction – but it came with a heavy price: he had to sacrifice his own life. Ayden was able to transfer his soul into a drone and with this gained the ability to control it. Other 32.000 human psionics like Ayden resolved to sacrifice themselves as well to save the remains of humanity. This was how the psionics became mankind’s last hope. Another powerful psionic, Eva, discovered her special connection to the Sphere itself. Through it, she was able to understand its nature and found a way to build the Argo – an interstellar ship built around the Sphere designed for the search of New Earth.

The story in Drone Swarm

With the swarm now under human control you lead this mission as Captain Carter – the swarm is yours to command. But you are not alone, your fellow crew members will help you to accomplish your mission. But be careful, there are risks waiting. You will encounter unknown alien races. The Voohr and the Dashan are the two dominant factions in this region of the galaxy, only it is not predictable whether they are willing to talk or whether it will come to inevitable conflicts.

The team behind the Drone Swarm story

The universe and story of Drone Swarm is the result of a collaboration between 451 Media and stillalive studios. 451 Media, co-founded by star director Michael Bay, will publish Drone Swarm comics that tell the prequel story. Meanwhile, Austrian developer stillalive studios is working with publisher astragon Entertainment on an action-packed strategy adventure game in which you will control 32,000 drones against a wide variety of enemies.

Drone Swarm will be released in fall 2020 on Steam™. It will have voiceovers in English and German. In addition to the two dubbed languages, there will be subtitles in 13 languages. A detailed listing can already be found on the Steam store page.

Old timey arcade shooter Bartlow’s Dread Machine is out now on Steam Early Access

Does your tin toy agent have the mettle to save President Roosevelt?

Seattle, Washington – July 30th, 2020 – Tribetoy and Beep Games, Inc. have released their old timey arcade shooter based on early 20th-century parlour game cabinets, Bartlow’s Dread Machine, on Steam Early Access. The full version will launch this Fall on Xbox One and Steam.

Set entirely within the confines of this titular relic from the dawn of the Electric Age, Bartlow’s Dread Machine casts one to two players as government agents in a series of escapades through New York, San Francisco, and all across the continent as they seek to rescue the kidnapped President Roosevelt from the forces of evil. But beware, sinister forces are at work!

Bound to the clockwork gizmos running this contraption, agents are mere metal figurines roving around on rails. But these aren’t any ordinary tin toys as they have free rein on how to navigate these forking networks of tracks. Think Pac-Man if he were made of metal, wore a cool peacoat, and was packing some serious heat! Sets made of wood and tin unfold around you in real-time as you navigate this immersive puppet show. Encounter a cast of improbable monsters and historical characters as you traverse the high seas and beyond using trains, ships and even a newfangled automobile!

Your journey begins in New York City with the discovery that President Teddy Roosevelt has been abducted by anarcho-satanists of the worst kind. Track his kidnappers across the Great Plains to the Pacific coast in today’s Early Access release, which contains the first three of six chapters. About once a month the game will be updated to include levels set at sea, deep in the Panamanian jungle, and finally in Washington D.C. as you close in on the culprit to save America from certain doom.

The final game features a wealth of content with 6 worlds, 52 guns, and all manner of outfits to deck out your gumshoe. Unlock unique spins on historical characters, like Zombie General Custer and Annie Oakley. Plus the drop-in / drop-out couch co-op contains per-player difficulty, allowing each player to set the challenge level to their preference.

“As much as we love video games, we’re also admirers of old analogue tech, particularly the clockwork precision of early 20th century arcade games, so we wanted to combine the rinky-dink charm of these rustic cabinets with the smooth gameplay of contemporary titles,” said  Matthew Hoseterey Co-Founder and Director of Design of Tribetoy. “Bartlow’s Dread Machine transports us back to this wild time at the dawn of the Electric Age, when technology and entertainment were evolving so fast that the world quickly became almost unrecognizable. Plus everyone wore snazzy hats back then, which is always a plus!”

Available now on Steam Early Access for PC, Bartlow’s Dread Machine is priced at $14.99 USD and will be available in English, German, French, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese.

Barotrauma’s ‘New Frontiers’ Update Takes the Unique Submarine Simulation to New Depths

Biggest update yet overhauls campaign, adds NPCs, outposts, and more

HAMBURG, Germany – July 30th, 2020 – Publisher Daedalic, and independent studios FakeFish and Undertow Games, proudly announce “New Frontiers”, the biggest update to the unique Sci-Fi submarine simulation Barotrauma since Steam Early Access started last June.

“New Frontiers” further enriches the game by adding a campaign-based journey with a mysterious destination in the depths of Europa. Multiple aspects of the game have been improved to create a real sense of progression in the campaign mode, and a work-in-progress ending has been implemented together with an accessible endgame location.

Update:

  • Outposts: The crew is now able to physically reach and explore outposts at the start and endpoint of a mission. AI inhabitants and randomized events keep the outposts alive. Players can trade, restock equipment, hire new crewmates and more.
  • Submarines: The crew’s swimming home base will develop throughout the journey. Beginning with a modest sub, players are able to update and modify the hull, different machinery and weaponry as they progress. All available improvements apply to modded ships as well, so the community can seamlessly integrate their own creations into the campaign.
  • Crewmates: The heart of the game, the submarine’s crew, is no longer randomized between campaign missions when playing with bots. Every crewmate becomes a valuable part of the mission and can be individually trained, so you should not use them as expendable cannon fodder. The bot AI was also improved.
  • In-game economy: Players are able to sell items, prices are balanced and different items are available at different locations in the game.
  • Visuals: The developers visually overhauled the majority of sprites in the game and revised the campaign map.

“New Frontiers” marks the next step towards Barotrauma’s full launch and is available for free. For more information, check out Barotrauma on Steam.
