ABOUT THE RIFTBREAKER™:

As Captain Ashley S. Nowak, “the Riftbreaker,” you enter a one-way portal to Galatea 37, a distant planet at the far reaches of the Milky Way. Your purpose is to build and develop a base that will allow travel to and from Earth for further colonization. Ashley’s Mecha-Suit, which she calls “Mr. Riggs,” can withstand the harshest environmental conditions and has a full range of equipment for base construction, resource extraction, specimen gathering, and of course – combat. It is also capable of traveling through rifts that connect space across vast distances.

MAIN FEATURES:

  • BASE BUILDING – Your task is to construct a two-way rift connected to Earth. This will be a very complex undertaking requiring enormous amounts of energy. Simple solar collectors and a few tons of steel will not be enough. You will need to build up an intricate chain of mines, refineries, power plants, and research facilities to complete this mission.
  • EXPLORATION – Galatea 37 is an unknown planet in the Sycorax belt of the Milky Way galaxy. Remote surveys have detected that it is inhabitable and perfect for colonization. The planet is full of rare minerals and substances that can be found scattered across the globe. Various biomes will surprise you with unknown fauna and flora, as well as harsh weather conditions. Construct local outposts in resource-rich locations to transport the required resources using rift technology.
  • DEFENSE – Your presence on this planet will not go unnoticed! As you build up your industry and disrupt the natural order, the planet will start to see you as a threat. Build up your defenses. Construct walls, barriers, and defense towers as the attacks get stronger with every passing day. You will face thousands of hostile creatures trying to eliminate your presence.
  • HACK, SLASH, SHOOT – Mr. Riggs can be equipped with powerful weapons and abilities that will allow you to take on the largest of beasts. You will need to be ready to face lots of hostile alien creatures as you explore the planet.
  • GATHER SAMPLES AND STRANGE ARTIFACTS – Felled beasts will drop valuable research specimens as well as rare resources. Use everything you can gather to research and craft new technologies, buildings, weapons, and equipment. You can also scout the terrain using your sensors and dig for treasure buried underground.
  • RESEARCH – Use your gathered samples to research new technologies that will help you build up your base, improve your defenses, develop new blueprints for your Mecha-Suit, or improve existing technologies.
  • CRAFT – Mr. Riggs is fully customizable and upgradeable. Use the blueprints that you’ve researched to craft new parts and weapons. Utilizing better materials in the crafting process will result in gear with improved properties. Each crafted item has unique properties.
  • INTERACTIVE STREAMING – The Riftbreaker™ has built-in integration with all the most popular streaming services. The stream’s audience can actively participate in the game through multiple options, e.g., by voting to send waves of new enemies, donating resources, or spawning environmental disasters like a tornado.
  • THE SCHMETTERLING ENGINE – This game is built using the latest iteration of EXOR Studios’ in-house developed Schmetterling 2.0 engine, which was previously used to create X-Morph: Defense™ and Zombie Driver™. We pride ourselves in delivering fluid gameplay and utilizing all your hardware’s capabilities: uncapped frame rate, support for widescreen monitors, customizable controls, and more.
  • COMMUNITY-DRIVEN DEVELOPMENT – If you’ve already read everything up to this point, then you might be interested in helping us shape the game. Please get in touch with us via our official Discord server or any other of our social media channels. We’ll be sharing inside info about the progress of the game’s development, and we’d love to hear your feedback. Please come and help us make The Riftbreaker™ the game YOU want to play!

Action RPG Almighty: Kill Your Gods Coming to PC on May 5th

Public Playtest Available from April 26th until the 28th

Baltimore, MD – April 22nd 2021 – Independent games publisher Versus Evil and developer RUNWILD Entertainment today announced that their third person co-op action RPG Almighty: Kill Your Gods will be coming to Steam Early Access on PC on May 5th with console versions following later in the year. A public playtest which begins on 26th April and gives action RPG fans a chance to try the game out for themselves.

In Almighty: Kill Your Gods, you take on the persona of an Alpha, a magical warrior infused with the power of your ancestors, reborn to take a stand for your tribe against the tyranny and oppression of the Elder Gods. Almighty: Kill Your Gods is a game about reclaiming and rebuilding your home in the face of impossible odds, armed with your magic gauntlets you’ll hunt demons, monsters, and gods taking them down with devastating ranged or melee attacks, or utilizing amulets to summon powerful spells.

Aside from big action and god sized fights, Almighty: Kill Your Gods is an action RPG geared around resource management, crafting and customization as much as it is about intense combat, allowing players to experiment with various loadouts with the freedom to create their very own playstyle and look.

With seamless online co-op gameplay, Alphas can team up and fight in packs of 4 as they hunt and take down the various demonic and powerful beings who threaten their world. These are frenetic monster sized battles where your combat skills and loadouts will be fully tested as you look to capitalize on valuable loot drops from enemies taken down in tandem with a player ally.

Teaming up also means players can help defend each other’s Island homesteads from devastating enemy raids and they can build and upgrade defensive towers, farms, and other  buildings, all of which will boost the homesteads local economy.

The dynamic sandbox design means that every play will be different, including the behaviors from roaming Gods and monsters. Anger these behemoths and watch as violence escalates and your Island changes.

Almighty: Kill Your Gods is a single player and multiplayer  action RPG with some amazing action, crafting and customization which brings a lot of different options players can experiment with. It’s safe to say we’re bringing a multi-layered action RPG with some monster sized action unlike anything else on the market right now.” said Steve Escalante, Versus Evil General Manager.

Multiverse, Inc. Raises $17.5 Million USD Series A Funding Round for its Innovative New Hybrid Digital Tabletop Gaming Platform

One More Multiverse Will Come to Market in 2021 Following Funding From Prominent Investors Including Kevin Lin, Pokimane, Makers Fund, and Anthos Capital.

CAMBRIDGE, MA (April 22, 2021) — Multiverse, Inc., a digital tabletop RPG and electronic entertainment developer, is pleased to announce today the successful closing of its Series A funding round, bringing the total funding raised to date to over $17.5M. Led by Anthos Capital, this latest investment round includes:

  • Venture capital firms Anthos Capital and Makers Fund
  • Twitch co-founder and former COO Kevin Lin
  • Co-founder of Crunchyroll Kun Gao
  • Online personality/streamer Pokimane
  • Co-founder of Oculus VR Nate Mitchell
  • Founder of TSM (Team Solomid) Andy Dinh

This investment will directly support the recently unveiled One More Multiverse, Multiverse, Inc.’s hybrid online tabletop roleplaying game (TTRPG) / video game platform. One More Multiverse is based on the “virtual tabletop” (VTT) concept where TTRPG players and streamers can gather online to play in shared games, complete with character sheets, rule sets, custom settings, and, of course, virtual dice! One More Multiverse has been built from the ground up to support streaming and live play content, allowing viewers to interact with the game and help (or hinder) players’ progress.

Multiverse, Inc. was launched by two MIT engineers and a professional illustrator to create the digital future of tabletop roleplaying games from both technical, diversity, and storytelling angles. Their first product, One More Multiverse, advances the VTT concept, making it so users can create game assets and art, custom rules (aka “homebrew”), and even entire game systems, all within a familiar and friendly digital environment reminiscent of classic video game RPGs. Users will also be able to share or sell their creations on the One More Multiverse marketplace, making it the perfect place for current and aspiring indie RPG creators to find a home!

“We look forward to working with such experienced and supportive investors,” said Thariq Shihipar, Multiverse, Inc. co-founder and CEO. “We’ve been able to attract top-tier investment from across our industry and beyond, which will help us make One More Multiverse an inclusive and welcoming storytelling platform for players, game masters, content creators, and their viewers across the world.”

“This latest round of investment will allow us to strengthen our partnerships with indie tabletop designers, such as our partner Hitpoint Press, which will allow us to bring their Humblewood universe to One More Multiverse.“ said Sara Alfageeh, Multiverse, Inc. co-founder and Chief Creative Officer. ”It is through key partnerships like these that we’ll be able to make One More Multiverse a key player in the Virtual Tabletop (VTT) and video game/digital storytelling space. From top-to-bottom, we have a fantastic team of artists and builders in place, and we can’t wait to show everyone what One More Multiverse can do!”

“Anthos is excited about how Multiverse, Inc. can transform a genre that has such a passionate player base but, until now, hasn’t been given powerful new creator tools to match,” said Bryan Kelly, co-founder of Anthos Capital.

“Makers believes deeply in the potential of the TTRPG space, and we’re excited to back such a dedicated, diverse team to build a new platform for these games,” commented Jay Chi, founding partner at Makers Fund.

Key Features of One More Multiverse Include:

  • A unique free-to-play platform that combines elements of video games and TTRPGs in a way that’s friendly to new players but offers depth for more advanced game systems
  • A creator-centric platform that center indie game players and designers first
  • Built by a majority POC team of programmers, artists, and writers with experience in RPGs, graphic novels, and tech startups
  • Less focus on rules, more on an engaging, improvisational, fun experience for both Games Masters and players
  • An inclusive experience — centering community practices like safety tools, sharing pronouns, body shape variation, inclusive character traits, and more to ensure a welcoming world for everyone

Currently in Closed Beta, Multiverse, Inc. is planning a Q3 2021 full release of the platform.

About Multiverse, Inc.

Multiverse, Inc. is a gaming startup building the digital future of tabletop roleplaying games. OMM was founded in 2019 in Boston, MA, when three friends tried and struggled to play TTRPGs. As an Arab woman, a Black man, and a South Asian man, they did not often see themselves reflected in the genre’s stories. These nerdy friends also happened to be two MIT Media Lab engineers and an illustrator whose credits include Marvel and Star Wars. Multiverse, Inc was featured in the Y Combinator Winter 2020 class, going on to successfully raise over $17.5m in funding from investors like Twitch co-founder Kevin Lin, and prominent VCs including Makers Fund. They seek out diversity in their storytelling and within their team, and have built a permanently remote company to commit to inclusion. They are determined to help change the gaming industry for the better with the guiding principle: Good People that make Great Games.

Featuring the 2021 Official Season and enriched by the power of next-generation consoles, MotoGP™21 will deliver an experience more real than ever before, boosted by several new features, like Long Lap PenaltyBike Retrieval, and Brake Temperature. Real-life gameplay improvements will enhance simulation vibes, along with the Managerial Career, this year featuring the Junior Team path.

The gameplay’s iconic new features aim to create unbelievable racing simulation that players have never experienced before. Bike Retrieval will delete respawn from your mind. If you fall you’ll have to get back to the bike as soon as possible, like in the real races; Brake Temperature means monitoring the temperature of brakes to always have the situation under control; with Long Lap Penalty you won’t be forgiven anymore, if you break the rules you’ll have to ride on a longer part of the race as a penalty.

Players who play the game on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X will enjoy Dynamic Resolution up to 4K, along with 60FPS. The quality has improved and the enhanced lighting creates an atmosphere that transmits the feeling of a true race. Loading times are faster and for the competition-addicts, multiplayer is now up to 22 riders. PlayStation™ Players will also enjoy the amazing PS5 DualSense™, including Haptic Feedback and Adaptive triggers.

Finally, Managerial Career is the fifth essence of the managing experience, featuring in-depth strategic tools, Junior Team path, and the treasured editor. Thanks to this, personalisation will remain a key pillar of the global gameplay experience, and for the first time, MotoGP™ 21 will have a selection of Creators Stickers to make your livery* unique!
