Turtle Beach and ROCCAT will take over the Spooktacular Screamathon event tomorrow, Thursday, October 29, 2020 starting as early as 8:00 a.m. ET, and fans can follow their favorite ambassadors as they stream throughout the day, as well as donate during the streams. Turtle Beach, ROCCAT, and their ambassadors aim to raise and donate over $25,000 for Gamers Outreach’s Project GO Kart program, which creates portable video game kiosks for hospitals that are beneficial for patients, doctors, nurses, and child life specialists as they provide bedside recreation for children unable to leave their hospital rooms. Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, Gamers Outreach has received a surge in requests for more GO Karts. With many hospitals adopting stricter protocols, kids are experiencing new levels of isolation. GO Karts create access to games and socialization even when it can’t be in person.

New footage showcasing Neon Giant’s dystopian cyberpunk epic.

London, United Kingdom – October 28, 2020 – Having first turned heads with intriguing gameplay during Microsoft’s Xbox showcase back in May, Curve Digital can today announce that multiplayer action-RPG The Ascent will launch on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One consoles, and PC in 2021.

Developed by Neon Giant and published by Curve Digital, The Ascent will be playable with Xbox Game Pass for Console and PC at launch and target 60 fps and full 4K support on the Xbox Series X, offering amazing gameplay performance for the new generation of console players. 

The Ascent will see players dive into ‘The Ascent Group’ arcology, a self-contained corporate-run metropolis, stretching high into the sky and filled with creatures from all over the galaxy. Taking on the role of an indentured worker, the world starts to go haywire when The Ascent Group shuts down for unknown reasons. Life becomes a case of survival, with rival corporations and crime syndicates looking to fill the empty space. Players will have to take up arms and hold them off. The Ascent begins here.

ATLAS UPDATE DELIVERS SEA FORTS!

Today’s update to ATLAS brings another new feature of the upcoming Trade System – Sea Forts! These tower structures are a form of Control Point that give Companies control over trading in an area. Other necessary Trade System features – Farmhouses and Warehouses – are already active in game, with Markets and Trade Routes coming soon. Once complete, the Trade System will allow an automated exchange of goods among players across the ATLAS map.

Ark: Fear Evolved 4 Event – Until November 6
A blood moon is rising! The Ark: Fear Evolved 4 event is coming, delivering candy corn, spooky skeletons, randomly spawning gravestones, scarecrows and pumpkin patches. From October 27 to November 6, the community’s most requested event will be active for Ark Survivors on Xbox.

Dead by Daylight: The Eternal Blight Event – Until November 4
Launched with this Tome is a time-limited in-game event called The Eternal Blight which is available starting October 21 until November 4. This event features returning Survivor items, Halloween themed charms, offerings and themed in-game content, plus new Survivor and Killer addons including the very first universal Killer add-on. Finally, players would be remiss to not take advantage of the giant Halloween sale on outfits in the in-game store.

The Elder Scrolls Online: Witches Festival – Until November 3
The Elder Scrolls Online’s most ghoulish gala returns – the Witches Festival! Partake (if you dare) and receive repulsive rewards in the form of spooky Plunder Skulls, double XP, collectibles and more. This in-game event will run until Thursday, November 3.

Fallout 76: Fasnacht Parade (October 30 – November 2)
Fasnacht Parade is a repeatable Seasonal Event that begins October 30 and runs every hour until November 2. Speak with the Master of Ceremonies in Helvetia to join your fellow dwellers in aiding the town’s robotic shopkeepers as they set up for the annual parade. Help them complete a variety of party prep activities, like playing musical instruments, decorating the town, and more. Once everything is ready, the dutiful Protectrons will line up to begin the Fasnacht Parade. Keep them safe on their route to earn rewards, like fantastic Fasnacht Masks. Trade and collect Fasnacht Masks while they are still around.

Minecraft Dungeons Apocalypse Plus Difficulty & Spooky Fall Limited Time Event
For Minecraft Dungeons players who aren´t afraid of a challenge, the free update coming to the game on October 26 will make their dreams (or nightmares) come true. The update will introduce the new Apocalypse Plus feature, which adds a harder difficulty mode where mobs are meaner, faster and more powerful than ever. And starting on that day, and through November 3, you´ll be able to experience the creepy trials of the Spooky Fall event. The time-limited Seasonal Trials will bring new challenges – and new rewards! The prizes for surviving these supernatural trials will be ultra-exclusive gear and weapons that are a must-have for this spooky season. Make sure you join in the frightful festivities before time is up!

Secret Neighbor Halloween Update
Secret Neighbor is getting a major update that adds new features to the Xbox One version: the new Neighbor class adds an extra layer of challenge; a darker visual presentation and Halloween decorations deliver a spooky experience to the players. Alongside that, the new major update contains plenty of quality of life improvements as well as some new content for players to enjoy.

State of Decay 2 Swine & Bovine Outfit
State of Decay 2: Juggernaut Edition has a new outfit called the Swine & Bovine, a grungy mechanic jumpsuit + welder’s mask that will be available as an in-game bounty. All players have to do is log into the game between October 28 and November 4, and it will be automatically added to their closet!

Level up your Netflix game with PS5 tips and game-inspired entertainment

Assassin’s Creed Live Action Series Coming to Netflix
Netflix and game developer Ubisoft have just made an exciting announcement: that a live-action series adaption of the iconic game, Assassin’s Creed, is in development. It will be an epic, genre-bending live action adaptation. A search is currently on for a showrunner, while Ubisoft Film & Television’s Jason Altman and Danielle Kreinik will serve as Executive Producers (tweet, for reference). 

A dedicated Netflix button on the PS5 media remote: The much-awaited PlayStation5 comes out next month. And it has gamers really excited. What’s more, PS5 owners will be able to easily access Netflix through a dedicated button on the Playstation 5 media remote. Also, the PS5’s control center will have a dedicated space for your TV and media apps. And Netflix can be found here, making it easier to access the app. Even without the media remote, navigating Netflix through your DualSense controller is simple. The arrow keys function as your directional buttons, and clicking the X button confirms a selection, while pressing the O button cancels or sends you back. To start watching, simply log in with your account details on the app and start streaming.

While fans wait for the Assassin’s Creed series, here are some movies and series adapted from games that are already on Netflix:

• Dad of Light is a Japanese series based on the popular MMORPG, Final Fantasy 14 (also confirmed to be available on the PS5). The story revolves around a father and a son who bond while playing the acclaimed game.
• Castlevania is a three-season anime series based on the classic platform game. It is the story of a vampire hunter fighting endless hordes of monsters controlled by Dracula.
• Dragon Quest: Your Story is an animated movie based on the popular J-RPG Dragon Quest. The movie follows the adventures of Luca as he looks to rescue his mother from the evil Ladja. The story touches on the themes of family and friendship.
• Dragon’s Dogmais an adaptation of the 2012 game on the PlayStation3. It revolves around Ethan and his quest to slay the dragon that attacked his village.
• Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness is an upcoming Netflix Original anime series based on the popular 1996 Playstation zombie-shooter game. The horror-action series will focus on the popular Resident Evil characters, Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield.

• The Witcher: The Geralt of Rivia, played by Henry Cavill, had everyone in awe when the series released last year on Netflix. The fantasy drama is based on a book series by the same name, by Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski. However, it was adapted into an RPG in 2007 and published by Atari.  

Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty now available on Nintendo Switch

UBISOFT^® OFFERS ALL TOM CLANCY’S RAINBOW SIX^® fans the chance TO BE FEATURED IN the November six major

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA — October 28, 2020 — Today, Ubisoft^® announced that all Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six^®: Siege fans will be able to show their support for their favourite esports teams during the November Six Major thanks to a specially designed Fan Mosaic. This creation, which will be shared on stream and on social media during the competitive event, will offer fans a chance to leave their mark in the show while staying safe at home.

This Fan Mosaic marks a new achievement for Rainbow Six Esports. For the first time, our community will be able to send their pictures to be featured in the background of a Rainbow Six Esports stream – Asia-Pacific November Six Major, to be held from November 25^th through 29^th, 2020.

All esports fans wishing to participate will just need to send their pictures to Ubisoft, following the guidelines stated in the corresponding blog post at rainbow6.com/majorfanmosaic.

About the Rainbow Six Esports global program

Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege’s Esports includes 4 main regions, Europe, North America, Latin America and Asia-Pacific. All four regions run in parallel their own dedicated regional leagues, all feeding into one unique and global race towards a qualification for the Six Invitational, the pinnacle of the Rainbow Six Siege competitive year. Each regional league ties into a coherent global program, one unique race towards a qualification for the Six Invitational. As teams across the four regions face off in regional and global competitions, featuring 3 Majors and regional leagues, they will be ranked based on a new and in-depth point system that rewards sustained performance. Each competitive Season runs for nearly a year, from March through the following February. Each Season will be divided into 4 quarters.
