UnderMine Prepares for Prospectors on PlayStation 4 Starting March 30
VANCOUVER, British Columbia – 16 March 2021– UnderMine, the action-adventure roguelike brimming with secrets from developer Thorium Entertainment, welcomes a new round of treasure seekers to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 via backward compatibility on Tuesday, March 30.
Send a hapless peasant to the monster-ridden depths of the UnderMine, a massive complex of twisting tunnels and mineshafts filled with equal parts of fortune and danger. Equipped initially with nothing more than a rudimentary pickaxe, a limited supply of bombs, and a misplaced sense of courage, the miner seeks to uncover the secret at the bottom of a tremor-ridden mine or die trying.
Unearth relics that empower adventurers with skills and upgrades that stand between them and glory. Clash with huge bosses and persevere against the dangers lying in wait deeper in the mine. Explode cracked walls with bombs, revealing secret paths and rooms filled with treasure and even potential allies.
Strategize wisely; though death is a setback, it does not spell the end of the journey. The next victim brave adventurer can spend recovered gold on permanent upgrades to equipment and stats. Each run poses a difficult question: spend that gold on a valuable item at the shop now, or save it for the next run?
While UnderMIne’s main campaign offers dozens of hours of challenge, those who conquer the mine at least once can explore the even deadlier and much more punishing Othermine. Kiss all the persistent upgrades goodbye; miners start with a fresh, randomly-generated set of starting relics, upgrades, and curses each run for maximum replayability.
“After we got more than 600,000 players on other platforms, we kept hearing from the PlayStation community demanding to know when it was their turn,” said Derek Johnson, Founder, Thorium Entertainment. “We’re happy to finally release on Sony’s platform and are ready to start bringing content like the Royals update to all versions of the game in the coming months!”
UnderMine launches Tuesday, 30 March, on PlayStation 4 for $19.99. UnderMine supports English, French, German, Latin American Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and Russian language text.
Founded in 2015 by Derek Johnson, with his fellow former Relic Entertainment co-worker Clint Tasker joining him, the two-person Vancouver studio brought together by their passion for games. The duo was inspired by their experience in AAA development and the processes that make those games great while having the benefits of independent development, such as artistic integrity and being true to themselves. At the end of the day, Thorium knows games are meant to be fun, and if they’re not enjoying the process, their players aren’t going to enjoy the game. UnderMine is the studio’s debut title, initially released for Steam Early Access in 2019.

SELANGOR, Malaysia – 17 March 2021 –Eximius: Seize the Frontline, the strategy shooter hybrid from Ammobox Studios seamlessly blending FPS and RTS action, deploys on PC today.
Eximius is designed to be a thinking person’s first-person shooter. It’s a highly-strategic 5v5 FPS where one player on each side supports their teammates from a RTS viewpoint by commanding AI infantry squads, vehicles, and air support. The experience heavily rewards team coordination while still remaining accessible to traditional audiences.
Suit up and step onto a next-generation battlefield where rival security contractors compete to establish nations following a catastrophic event that has thrown the world into chaos. Declare allegiance to a faction and coordinate with teammates as members of five-player squads to capture and secure resources, defeat enemy combatants, and claim victory.
Step into the role of advanced infantry Officers who strike hard and fast. Coordinate with squadmates to flank enemies, capture resources that keep the war machine running, and gain a tactical edge. Officers wield a variety of armaments, but excel when outfitted in Vanguard battlesuits. All 10 of these mechs come with a range of skills and customizable loadouts that can turn the tide of battle. Avoid detection by cloaking in the Orion model, protect squadmates with the guardian-class Aegis’ shield, or rain missiles down on foes in the Assault suit.
Oversee the action and direct the flow of each engagement as a Commander, whose ability to see the battlefield from a birds-eye-view provides a vital strategic perspective. Switch from firefights to tactical assistance, making use of a real-time-strategy interface to direct NPC units, build strongholds, request reinforcements, and even call in devastating aerial bombardments.
Experience an intense fusion of white-knuckle action and deep strategic play across online multiplayer matches melding the best aspects of FPS and RTS games. Fill a range of roles during the course of a single match by swapping battlesuits and coordinating with allies as a Commander to deal decisive blows. Compete across Strategic and Cooperative modes. Or take the fight offline in Skirmish mode, where Officers or Commanders take on waves of AI foes.
“Eximius: Seize the Frontline offers players a wholly unique online experience,” said Jeremy Choo, Director, Ammobox Studios. “We began developing Eximius to explore and expand upon the boundaries of both FPS and RTS games. We’re thrilled to have players across the globe experience the next-generation of warfare with Eximius: Seize the Frontline on Steam!”
Eximius: Seize the Frontline is now available for Windows PC via Steam and the Humble Store for $29.99. Eximius features English-language support at launch. German, Russian, and Chinese (Simplified and Traditional) language support will be available in a post-launch patch.
Ammobox Studios is an independent developer based in Malaysia. Founded on the core concepts of innovation and a people-first studio culture, they seek to deliver memorable experiences by innovating on classic mechanics. Eximius: Seize the Frontline is their debut title.
