After a hugely successful re-launch of the BloodRayne franchise, the publisher wanted to offer fans the most BloodRayne content possible to enjoy their favorite Damphir and her exploits.
To kick things off, Ziggurat is asking fans to help name the BloodRayne fan club through a Twitter poll that will be active on the Ziggurat Twitter page from today, 6/28, through Friday, 7/2. Fans will be able to vote on the name they like the most, and the winning entry will become the official club name.

Helsinki, Finland, June 16th 2021 — Virtual and social games developer Sulake have today announced that Habbo users will be able to sell their hotel room designs in-game as user generated room bundles. Despite Habbo’s twenty-year lifespan, this is the first time players will be able to earn in-game currency from selling their bundles using the in-game Navigator.
In this new update, Habbo residents will now be able to submit their own room designs, containing the furniture in the room and where each item is placed, to be sold in the in-game Navigator. Habbo users will require a Builders Club membership in order to sell their bundles, purchasable through the in-game Navigator for a mixture of in-game currencies. Buying the user generated room bundles will be cheaper than buying items individually from Habbo’s Catalogue, and the room creator will get a percentage of the paid price to keep for themselves!

Volcanoids received a major update just in time for the Steam Summer Sale. The update introduces new equipment, customization options, and a revamped ash mechanic.
There are new melee weapons for those preferring to get up close and personal in combat, including a hand mounted Saw Gauntlet. The dark mines are also now easier to navigate with the new flashlanght.
The drillship has more equipment and customization options. Players can now build healing devices, item dispensers, and turret control stations to help deal with incoming robot raids. Personally, I’m especially excited about the turret controls as I’d much rather stay inside the safety of the drillship than the riskier battle outside I experiend in the Volcanoids preview after the co-op update was released.
Finally, the ash mechanic has been revamped. Previously, ash would only cover the ground just after the volcano explosion, and not much was obscured. Now, thick clouds of ash will linger, obscuring vision and requiring the use of the new flashlights.
Volcanoids is currently on Steam Early Access for Windows PC.

FMV Game Receives Complete Restoration and Release with Additional Voice-work by Original Actor Timothy Bottoms
DENVER, COLORADO (June 25, 2021) — Today, publisher of retro-and-modern games, Ziggurat Interactive announced the upcoming release of the previously unfinished Atari Jaguar Full-Motion-Video (FMV) game, American Hero, for multiple digital platforms, and an exclusive physical release through Limited Run Games this summer. This lost gem is a true product of its time, complete with sleazy dives, lovely ladies, a brain-washing villain, and Golden Globe Award nominee Timothy Bottoms as the lead. Ziggurat has worked with Empty Clip Studios to reengineer the game from the ground up, including Timothy Bottoms’ return to his starring role with all-new voiceover recordings to complete the original script.
“With American Hero, we sought to balance conservation of the project’s original vision with editorial restoration wherever game assets were incomplete,” said Matt Shores, CEO of Empty Clip Studios. “We feel that this was the best approach to resurrect the game and allow players a chance to experience a title that was never released to the public.”
Written in the 1990s, American Hero is a satire of over-the-top 80’s action films which has itself aged into a caricature of 90’s cinema. This ‘playable movie’ features the talents of professional actors, including Timothy Bottoms (The Last Picture Show, Elephant), Daniel Roebuck (The Fugitive, Final Destination), and Musetta Vander (O Brother, Where Art Thou, Wild Wild West).
