Wizards of the Coast Releases Dungeons & Dragons DARK ALLIANCE

Co-op Action Brawler Arrives on PC & Consoles

Sydney, Australia, June 23, 2021 – Wizards of the Coast, a division of Hasbro, Inc (NASDAQ: HAS), is proud to announce that DARK ALLIANCE, the explosive four-player, co-op action brawler is now available on Steam for PC, PlayStation®4, PlayStation®5, Windows 10 PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S consoles and on Xbox Game Pass. Developed by Wizards of the Coast and Tuque Games, DARK ALLIANCE is the first Dungeons & Dragons video game published by Wizards of the Coast; a new CGI trailer was released to celebrate the launch:

“Whenever I’m at the table playing Dungeons & Dragons with my friends, I always anxiously await that moment in a scenario when the Dungeon Master says, ‘Roll for initiative’. That’s when you know things are about to get intense and dangerous,” said Jeff Hattem, Studio Head at Tuque Games and Creative Director for DARK ALLIANCE. “We designed DARK ALLIANCE from those moments in D&D campaigns; our game puts combat at the center of the experience and we can’t wait for players to feel what it’s like to battle a Frost Giant up close and personal.”

Check out Co-Op Gameplay Here:

Featuring real-time combat and dynamic co-op gameplay, Dark Alliance pits Drizzt Do’Urden and his legendary companions – Catti-brie, Bruenor, and Wulfgar – against some of the most iconic monsters from the Forgotten Realms of Dungeons & Dragons. Frost Giants, Beholders, and White Dragons roam the frozen tundra of Icewind Dale in search of the Crystal Shard— and it’s up to the companions to muster the strength to stop them from claiming and using it to destroy their home.

“Gathering a party and having fun with your friends is what Dungeons & Dragons is all about,” said Chris Cocks, President, Wizards of the Coast. “Launching DARK ALLIANCE today marks a big milestone for Wizards of the Coast, in that we’re opening up new ways for friends to experience the epic combat scenarios they’ve been imagining for all these years.”

Dark Alliance is available digitally and at retail.

Wizards of the Coast is making it easy to assemble your party. Players who purchase DARK ALLIANCE on PlayStation®4 will receive a free digital download code so that they can upgrade to the PlayStation®5, and vice versa. Players who preordered on Xbox One consoles or Xbox Series X|S only must buy the game once and receive it on both platforms through Smart Delivery. War Mongrels’ Limited Edition Pre-Orders Open, New Gameplay Footage Debuts Today

War Mongrels’ Limited Edition Pre-Orders Open, New Gameplay Footage Debuts Today

Only 1,944 Units of Limited Edition in Production for WWII Real-Time Tactics Game

Gliwice, Poland — June 22, 2021 — War Mongrels, the grisly WWII real-time tactics game from publisher and developer Destructive Creations, launches pre-orders for a limited edition to be delivered in September, alongside its digital release on PC. PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One versions will follow. Thirteen minutes of new gameplay released today show a taste of the tough conversations War Mongrels hopes to inspire.

Destructive Creations plans to only produce 1,944 copies of the limited editions, and pre-orders open today at 1944.warmongrels.com. Prepare for hard-hitting WWII authenticity with an elaborate limited edition full of high-quality extras:

  • Huge, heavy ammo crate containing everything else
  • Personalized mug (choose a nickname or motto) with a coaster resembling barbed wire.
  • Concrete desk organizer built to look like a wrecked tank with a dedicated space for mobile phones and stationary like pens
  • Metal poster featuring War Mongrels’ vintage-inspired key art
  • Destructive Creations magnet crafted in the image of an atomic mushroom explosion
  • Dog tag imitating authentic German dog tags from WWII
  • War Mongrels T-Shirt
  • And of course, a game key! But expect a surprising, era-appropriate format…

The new gameplay video highlights a later section, some time after protagonist Manfred witnesses the horrific results of Hitler’s regime firsthand and abandons his post. Now a freedom fighter, he’s joined by Lead, a member of the “Silent Unseen,” a group of elite special-operations paratroopers of the exiled Polish army. Destructive Creations weaves inspiration from real-life characters and stories into the game, including Manfred himself. His story is loosely based on that of Manfred Zanker, who refused to “risk his life for a madman with a mustache“.

The pair infiltrate an SS internment camp to procure damning evidence of German War Crimes and rescue a member of the resistance. While skulking through the shadows, Lead and Manfred whisper in argument about Manfred’s ignorance. Lead dismantles Manfred’s desperate clings to Hitler’s propaganda, including the supposed execution of 50,000 Germans by the Polish. Listen in as Manfred tries to justify his past, until Lead and other teammates help open his eyes.

The two use every tool at their disposal: cigarette packs to distract guards, stealthy melee kills, and sniper rifles for loud but effective kills. War Mongrels displays information with an intuitive system designed to make stealth fast-paced and strategic. Vision cones and line-of-sight indicators provide a window into the Nazi’s tactics. Carefully consider routes and actions, then pause time with Planning Mode to queue up commands and then execute them all at once.

“While War Mongrels hopes to expose how terrible people have used history to paint themselves in a better light, we wanted to have some fun with the limited edition,” said Marcin Stanek, Business Development Manager at Destructive Creations. “We’ve enjoyed coming up with such premium packages, and we know our fans will love them.”

War Mongrels will be available on PC in September in both digital and limited edition formats. Players can pre-order the limited edition now for $249 USD / 199 EUR (worldwide shipping included). PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One versions will follow. War Mongrels will support English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Turkish, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese (Brazil), Russian and Chinese (Simplified + Traditional) language subtitles at launch with an English voiceover. Police Simulator Patrol Officers Preview

Police Simulator: Patrol Officers

Developer: Aesir Interactive
Publisher: astragon Entertainment
Platforms: Windows (Previewed)
Release Date: 17 Jun 2021
Price: $19,99USD – Available Here

When you think about it, isn’t every game a sim game to some extent? Grand Theft Auto V is an extensive sim game of how not to uphold the law, Mass Effect is a space exploration sim, and Warframe is a grinding simulator teaching us the futility of life where we do the same actions over and over again while expecting different results. On the other hand, Police Simulator: Patrol Officers takes itself far more seriously. There are rules to follow, laws to uphold and no one is exempt from them. Not even you. The protagonist and conveniently also a police officer.

Upon starting the game, I realized my task is anything but simple. Or should I say, tasks? As a member of the Brighton Police Department, it is your job to keep things in order. You start first on foot, by issuing parking tickets, verbal warning (or written ones) for littering, and many other menial tasks. But hey, we all gotta start somewhere, right? Be thorough enough with your job and soon enough you’ll patrol the neighborhood with a proper police car. Your list of responsibilities will also expand but that comes with the territory. The city is divided into districts. Each week you have to pick up 5 shifts (as in, 5 working days). You can take 2 days off and receive a new set of new shift options. As I said above, these tasks aka shifts range from absolutely mundane to seriously engrossing. One day you might hand of parking tickets and the next day you will be investigating accidents or search for wanted persons.

There are two things that you have to watch out for while playing. CP and SP. But that tells you absolutely nothing, right? Well, CP is short for conduct points and SP would be shift points. After each shift, both CP and SP reward you with district experience points, which earns you duty stars. You unlock items and other areas by accumulating enough duty stars. Remember when I said that there are rules to follow and no one is exempt from them? Well, if you don’t want to earn too much CP you should know what things you shouldn’t do and what things you should do in proper order. For example, asking citizens for ID without a reason will deduct CP from your score. You also can’t go absolutely bonkers with handing out tickets just cause you can in order to progress, otherwise this would be a really short game.

With Police Simulator: Patrol Officers being in early access, there are some acceptable bugs as well as plenty of room for improvement. I decided to trust the game by setting my graphics quality automatically and I found myself playing it on medium for some reason, even though I can run everything on high and ultra. After setting the quality manually to high, I found myself in a way better-looking game than before and without any technical hitches. So it might be a good idea to tinker around in the setting menu before blindly jumping into a game.

Speaking of setting, there are two ways that you can play in Police Simulator: Patrol Officers – simulation and casual mode. The first mode is something that I would recommend to experienced sim players only. By choosing the first mode, the game will throw a hurricane of information on you and expect you to untangle it all. The casual mode is something that I would recommend to everyone in general and if you want a more laidback experience of this sim. You’ll receive plenty of helpful tips and tutorials as you progress through the city and in your career. As far as audio is involved, I can’t find many words to describe it or even praise it. The usual sound effects are in place and the city feels a bit alive as you patrol through its streets. As for any soundtrack, it is hardly noticeable but then again, considering that the game just released in early access I can’t really expect all that much right at the start.

There is a lot more progress expected from Police Simulator: Patrol Officers before we can consider it a fully-fledged game but from what I’ve seen experienced so far, this sim is quite promising. It might greet you with a slow start, but if you push through a generic first few missions, you’ll be rewarded with plenty of diverse missions and soon find out that being a police officer is no easy task. As of right now, the developers have new districts to add in the near future, as well as multiplayer-co-op and night shift options. By the looks of it, this game might pretty soon turn into something rather impressive.

A promising police sim that’s already engaging enough in its early stage.

Killing Floor 2: Interstellar Insanity Shoots for the Moon on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC

Tripwire Interactive Declares Lift-Off with 2021’s Summer Update, Full of Free Content including New Map, Weapons, Cosmetics and more

ROSWELL, Ga. – 22nd June 2021 – Developer and publisher Tripwire Interactive is proud to announce that esteemed first-person shooter and co-op action title, Killing Floor 2 is going… to the Moon! Killing Floor 2: Interstellar Insanity, this year’s free summer update, blasts off with a new map, unique rewards, new bundles, astronaut cosmetics, and more. Players can take one giant leap into Killing Floor 2: Interstellar Insanity today on the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, Xbox One family of devices including the Xbox One X, and PC via Steam or the Epic Games Store

Killing Floor 2: Interstellar Insanity will mark the end of the Lockhart map trilogy with new survival map, Moonbase. Reached via the steam-powered rocket that lifted off at the end of the Steam Fortress map, Moonbase is set on a secret Horzine research outpost on the Moon. Killing Floor 2 players will battle on Moonbase in survival, weekly, and endless game modes, earning unique seasonal rewards along the way. Since the setting is Earth’s natural satellite haunted by zeds, Moonbase has low gravity, adding a little float to the fight.

Landing with Killing Floor 2: Interstellar Insanity are several new tools for massacre on the Moon. SWAT users can equip the HRG Bastion, a LMG with an energy shield for bullet spray in space, and Support users can let their fists do the talking with the HRG Blast Brawlers, a gauntlet-style weapon. These HRG weapons are free for all players. This update also brings DLC and bundles which include the FAMAS Masterkey for the Commando and Support perks as well as the Thermite Bore for the Firebug perk.

The lunar lunacy continues with out of this world astronaut-style cosmetics, returning Summer Sideshow zeds, two new game modes (scavenger and arachnophobia) added to the weekly rotation, and more.

To celebrate the release of the update and the season, Tripwire Interactive will be participating in several hot summer sales across all platforms! Be sure to follow Tripwire Interactive’s social channels for information on special sales discounts coming soon.

In Killing Floor 2, players descend into continental Europe where the outbreak caused by Horzine Biotech’s failed experiment has quickly spread and gained unstoppable momentum, essentially paralyzing the European Union— Just one month after the events in the original KILLING FLOOR, the specimen clones are everywhere and civilization is in disarray; communications have failed, governments have collapsed, and military forces have been systematically eradicated. The people of Europe know survival and self-preservation too well and lucky survivors have gone into hiding.

Not all have given up hope though… A group of civilians and mercenaries have banded together to combat the outbreak and established privately funded operation bases across Europe. Upon tracking specimen clone outbreaks, players will descend into zed-laden hot zones and exterminate them.

Killing Floor 2 is developed and published by Tripwire Interactive and is published at retail by Deep Silver and Iceberg Interactive for the Xbox One, Xbox One X, PlayStation®4 Pro, PlayStation®4, and PC. This title has been rated M by the ESRB, PEGI 18, USK 18.
