World of Warships: Legends celebrates 2 year anniversary

World of Warships: Legends celebrates two year anniversary with boatload of content

23 July  – A summer festival to celebrate World of Warships’ Legends second birthday kicks off from 26 July, with a new campaign, Arpeggio of Blue Steel -Ars Nova- collaboration and a retrospective Bureau project, uniting the whole variety of activities with its flavour and bringing free in-game goods for the players as a gift. Plus, Arms Race and Tier VII ships are coming to Ranked mode as USN alternate battleships headlined by Kansas leave early access to become researchable.

One of the main attractions of the Anniversary Festival, is a fresh new campaign “Shock and Awe” and is focused on German destroyer ZF-6. 100. T milestones, which within five weeks provide the path to a flurry of rewards with the ship herself as the cherry on top, obtainable with Admiralty Backing. Coming with almost cruiser-like impressive AA suite including a consumable, ZF-6 features torpedoes faster than those of her peers with a drawback of slightly decreased range.

Arpeggio of Blue Steel -Ars Nova- goods arrive to the store with a selection of items to choose from as a surprise appearance at the Summer Festival. This collaboration brings two new Kongō-based battleships: Haruna and Kirishima, five diverse commanders and more, available through special crates.

Another festival activity, the special Birthday Bureau project, goes back to the significant landmarks of Year II, including events such as Halloween, New Year, Black Friday, and introduction of Italian ships, among others. Players will be awarded with corresponding festive crates at each project stage.

Heading to the high seas with their guns bristling are USN Battleships Nevada, Tennessee and North Carolina which leave early access to become researchable in the tech tree on the way to Tier VII Kansas. Just in time to wreak havoc on the opponents: Arms Race mechanic is coming to Ranked after being battle-tested by the latest Arena season to make the celebrations even more fun. At the same time, Tier VII ships reinforce the Ranked battles line-up for the first time ever. Additionally, historical camouflages for a handful of signature ships (such as Bismarck, Charles Martel and Lexington) become available for paint.

More good things destroyer players can look forward to this summer – Regia Marina gets two dedicated destroyer commanders: Luigi Rizzo and Giuseppe Fulgosi. The former is all about speed, including base trait that improves Engine Boost. The latter is a sneaky one: improving Smoke Generator consumable is his signature move. Capping off the Italian part of the summer is all-new Paolo Emilio, a destroyer obtainable for global XP.

Two-year anniversary celebrations are upon us, so grab your free ticket to the Summer Festival in the in-game store and turn the tide.

Action RPG Hindsight 20/20 Launches onto Next-Gen, PC 9 September

Action RPG Hindsight 20/20 Launches onto Next-Gen, PC 9 September

AAA Veterans at Triple-I Games to Release Debut Indie Title on PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC

AUSTIN, Texas – 22 July 2021 – Hindsight 20/20 – Wrath of the Raakshasa, the action-RPG with morality-based decisions from the BioWare, ArenaNet, and Sucker Punch veterans at Triple-I Games, takes players on an epic journey full of difficult decisions on PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Windows via Steam on Thursday, 9 September.

Young one-armed warrior Jehan stands between two wildly different worlds. Growing up in the kingdom of Champaner, he learned to abhor violence. He chose pacifism whenever possible, at worst using a stun baton in self-defense. That was before his father’s murder, before the virus started turning Champaner’s citizens into bloodthirsty Raakshasas. Now Jehan finds himself at the crossroads of fate itself, and his decisions will shape the future of the entire world.

Mold the future, one choice at a time. Uphold Champaner’s values with a stun rod in Merciful combat, or embrace the sweet finality of sharpened steel in Ruthless battle. Wield special abilities from throwing the sword like a boomerang to stunning entire crowds of enemies. Confront bosses reacting to Merciful and Ruthless combat differently, effectively creating two different encounters.

Jehan’s actions — combat, dialogue, even who he chooses to help and when — alter how passerbys perceive him throughout his journey. What may seem like the “right” path early on can have unexpected implications further down the road, leading to 10 different endings. Explore a gorgeous watercolor world blending magic and technology in a highly divergent story encouraging multiple playthroughs to see all of the different possibilities.

On PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, Hindsight 20/20 runs at 4K/60FPS with improved post-processing effects like light bloom and ambient occlusion. The PlayStation 5 version provides a more immersive experience via the DualShock’s haptic feedback and adaptive triggers.

Hindsight was developed around our custom-built Experience Engine that grants players deeper choices and consequences,” said Hemanshu Chhabra, creative director at Triple-I Games. “We don’t want our dilemmas to be black and white, and we hope our game makes you carefully consider your actions when it releases in September.”

Hindsight 20/20 will be available in English on PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation®4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Windows via Steam on Thursday, 9 September.

To learn more, please visit Hindsight 20/20’sofficial site, Steam page, Twitter, Instagram, Discord channel, and Facebook page.

About Triple-I Studios

Consisting of veterans from BioWare, ArenaNet, Sucker Punch Studios, and Amazon Games Studios, Triple-I Games came together when Hemanshu Chhabra came to his friends with a vision: to make a game that would help a younger, self-critical version of himself understand what “hindsight 20/20” really means.

Residual Makes Procedural Planetfall 9 Sept. on PC, Xbox, and Switch

First New IP in 25 Years from Legendary Publisher Behind Duke Nukem, Max Payne, Prey

THE NETHERLANDS — 22 July 2021 — Residual, a new breed of survival platformer from OrangePixel and legendary publisher Apogee Entertainment, crash-lands on Steam for PC, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch on Thursday, 9 September. The PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 releases will lift off later this year.

Alone against the void, one explorer must survive an unpredictable alien world, generated anew with every fresh start. Repair the ship against incredible odds as rain lashes, high winds push back, blazing heat or chilling cold strike, and the secrets of a long-lost civilization make themselves known. Only creative puzzle-solving, resourceful crafting, and an eye for escaping subterranean doom will bring the intrepid spacefarer home.

Witness the Nature Engine, a proprietary procedural generation system which governs everything from climate and minerals to hostile plant life from a set of nature-based rules. For every planet among thousands of possibilities, a different ecosystem challenges what adventurers have learned with new twists. In the absence of fishing pools, find a new food source. In the face of long, cold nights, make haste to chart new ground during the day. Hot deserts bring plentiful solar power; what will you spend it on?

Choose between a male, female, or non-binary protagonist and venture forth alongside the quirkiest snarkcasm-filled robot this side of the galactic core: your Personal Disaster Bot, Pedey-B! A constant companion, Pedey-B guides its friends(?) through the journey, offering helpful advice, sarcastic well-meaning tips, and random commentary.

“Look, my words were a bit harsh the last time I was asked for a quote,” said Peedy-B in an apologetic, albeit synthesized voice. “We’re a real team here—even if I do 98.7% of the work and come up with the plans and—”

Residual invites players to tell their own survival stories in a forgotten galaxy where no two planets are exactly alike,” chimes in Pascal Bestebroer of studio OrangePixel. “Sharing stories from our gaming is the best part of this business, so it was very important to me that Residual come to many different platforms and have options for a gentler survival adventure.”

Residual lands planetside Thursday, 9 September on Steam for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch for $19.99 with support for 11 languages. The PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 releases will follow later this year. For more on OrangePixel and Apogee’s galactic adventure, check out the game website, follow the studio on Twitter, Discord, and Facebook, and tune in for Pascal’s weekly devlogs on YouTube. Hang out with Apogee on its official website or follow the legends on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and Discord.

About Apogee Entertainment

Apogee Software’s pioneering journey began in 1987, when Scott Miller decided to split his new game, Kingdom of Kroz, into three episodes, with the first episode available as free shareware. Dive into the world of wildlife in Natural Instincts – an interactive nature documentary sim that’s now available on Steam Early Access

Enjoy a one-of-a-kind, relaxing gameplay experience where you’ll be responsible for ecosystem balance and animals’ well-being. Get insight into the wildlife of European forests. Manage populations of wolves, deer, and rabbits. Observe their habits and learn a thing or two along the way.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – July 22nd, Warsaw, Poland.

Different species have different characteristics and needs, but they are all driven by instinct. Wolves will migrate to the same hunting grounds their ancestors did. Rabbits will reproduce in the same part of the forest they always have. But the ecosystem is changing. Humans build roads that are dangerous to cross, leave piles of trash that can harm animals, and interfere with the natural environment in many other ways. Natural Instincts will give you the chance to protect the animals, control their breeding, keep dangers away, and balance the ecosystem so it can flourish under your protection.

Starting today, July 22nd, you’ll be able to download the game from Steam (https://store.steampowered.com/app/1168610/Natural_Instincts/) at 7:00 p. m. CEST / 10:00 a. m. PDT / 1:00 p. m. EDT / 6:00 p. m. BST, and enjoy a 10% launch discount!

ABOUT NATURAL INSTINCTS

Natural Instincts is an interactive nature documentary sim that offers the player an open world and the ability to manage the actions of different animals. Protect species and save them from harm – either by natural predators or human threats. Give commands to the animals, observe their habits, and help them survive. React to the encroaching human presence and help the animal kingdom flourish in this unique environmental experience.

NATURAL INSTINCTS – MAIN FEATURES

  • An innovative gameplay experience where players can manage animals living in their natural environment.
  • A lush green forest inhabited by unique animals and plants.
  • Wildlife supervision – observe animals and act immediately by helping them find food, water, or shelter, or keep them away from danger.
  • Population control – manage the environment’s balance by controlling species population. Increase it by breeding animals or reduce it with the help of predators. Remember, however, that the environment’s balance is incredibly fragile.
  • Observe and learn – every species’ behavior is different. Watch the animals’ reactions to different situations and use this knowledge to your advantage.
  • Deal with random events – nature is no fairytale, so make sure your actions are carefully considered.
  • Influence natural selection – create the ultimate predator by pairing the most aggressive wolves or breed only the fastest rabbits in the forest. The choice is entirely yours.

Natural Instincts is now available on Steam Early Access. The game is being developed by DreamStorm Studios and was published by Games Operators.

This extended developer commentary video presents how it is to operate a global network of bases and mining outposts in a diverse, dynamic, and persistent world. Explore the planet, uncover its secrets and use that knowledge and resources to construct a rift station that will allow you to go back home to Earth.

ABOUT THE RIFTBREAKER™:

As Captain Ashley S. Nowak, “the Riftbreaker”, you enter a one-way portal to Galatea 37, a distant planet in the far reaches of the Milky Way. Your purpose is to build and develop a base that will allow travel to and from Earth for further colonization. Ashley’s Mecha-Suit, which she calls “Mr. Riggs”, can withstand the harshest environmental conditions and has a full range of equipment for base construction, resource extraction, specimen gathering, and combat. It is also capable of traveling through rifts that connect space across vast distances.

THE RIFTBREAKER™  MAIN FEATURES:

  • BASE BUILDING – Your task is to construct a two-way rift connected to Earth. This will be a very complex undertaking requiring enormous amounts of energy. Simple solar collectors and a few tons of steel will not be enough. You will need to build up an intricate chain of mines, refineries, power plants, and research facilities to complete this mission.
  • EXPLORATION – Galatea 37 is an unknown planet in the Sycorax belt of the Milky Way galaxy. Remote surveys have detected that it is inhabitable and perfect for colonization. The planet is full of rare minerals and substances that can be found scattered across the globe. Various biomes will surprise you with unknown flora and fauna, as well as harsh weather conditions. Construct local outposts in resource-rich locations to transport the required resources using rift technology.
  • DEFENSE – Your presence on this planet will not go unnoticed! As you build up your industry and disrupt the natural order, the planet will start to see you as a threat. Build up your defenses. Construct walls, barriers, and defense towers as the attacks get stronger with every passing day. You will face thousands of hostile creatures trying to eliminate your presence.
  • HACK, SLASH, SHOOT – Mr. Riggs can be equipped with powerful weapons and abilities that will allow you to take on the largest of beasts. You will need to be ready to face lots of hostile alien creatures as you explore the planet.
  • GATHER SAMPLES AND STRANGE ARTIFACTS – Felled beasts will drop valuable research specimens as well as rare resources. Use everything you can gather to research and craft new technologies, buildings, weapons, and equipment. You can also scout the terrain using your sensors and dig for treasure buried underground.
  • RESEARCH – Use your gathered samples to research new technologies that will help you build up your base, improve your defenses, develop new blueprints for your Mecha-Suit, or improve existing technologies.
  • CRAFT – Mr. Riggs is fully customizable and upgradable. Use the blueprints that you’ve researched to craft new parts and weapons. Utilizing better materials in the crafting process will result in gear with improved properties. Each crafted item has unique properties.
  • INTERACTIVE STREAMING – The Riftbreaker™ has built-in integration with all the most popular streaming services. The stream’s audience can actively participate in the game through multiple options, e.g., by voting to send waves of new enemies, donating resources, or spawning environmental disasters like a tornado.
  • THE SCHMETTERLING ENGINE – This game is built using the latest iteration of EXOR Studios’ in-house developed Schmetterling 2.0 engine, which was previously used to create X-Morph: Defense™ and Zombie Driver™. We pride ourselves on delivering fluid gameplay and utilizing all your hardware’s capabilities: uncapped frame rate, support for widescreen monitors, customizable controls, and more.
  • COMMUNITY-DRIVEN DEVELOPMENT – If you’ve already read everything up to this point, then you might be interested in helping us shape the game. Please get in touch with us via our official Discord server or any other of our social media channels. We’ll be sharing inside info about the progress of the game’s development, and we’d love to hear your feedback. Please come and help us make The Riftbreaker™ the game YOU want to play!

The Riftbreaker™ is coming to PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox Game Pass this fall.

More information about The Riftbreaker™ can be found on Steam (https://store.steampowered.com/app/780310/The_Riftbreaker/), the official website (http://www.riftbreaker.com/), Facebook, and Twitter. Created by ‘Buler’ the winner of the Fantastic Machines Competition who won $10,000 for his fantastic level, Laboratory will allow players to run amok in a secret lab where the forces of physics become powerful playthings! Master the majesty of magnetism and the exhilarating application of electricity inside the mysterious mountain!

Alongside the launch of the new Laboratory level, three new community designed skins will be available for players to jazz up their Humans – the Jester, Wrestler and Painter – which are the first of ten winners from the recent ‘Dress to Impress’ competition. The remaining seven winning skins will be released by the end of the year.

“We couldn’t be happier to reach this amazing milestone,” said Tomas Sakalauskas, CEO and Founder of No Brakes Games and Creator of Human: Fall Flat. “Five years ago Human Fall Flat first launched on PC with eight physics based puzzle levels, and now our game is available worldwide across PC, mobile and console platforms, includes 17 (soon to be 18!) exciting levels, and we’ve shipped over 30 million copies – we really can’t believe how far we’ve come.

“I’d like to say a huge thank you to the amazing Human: Fall Flat community. I always wanted to make a game that inspires creators and players to build and explore new levels without any limitation and I am constantly surprised by the innovation that we see from the community each year. We look forward to many more years to come!”
