Game Features: 

• Multiplayer – Work together to defend the village from the legions of Hel and survive as long as possible. Tribes of Midgard is designed from the ground up with both solo and co-op play for up to 10 players in mind. In-game text and voice chat makes it easy to play with friends or make new ones along the way.  
• Two Game Modes 
  • In Saga Mode, players must complete a series of quests to unlock the final Boss battle for Season 1 against Fenrir. But hurry, if Fenrir isn’t defeated before Fimbulwinter the world will literally freeze over! This mode contains special rewards and will be updated with new seasonal Saga Bosses, quests, rewards and more in the future. 
  • In Survival Mode, the goal is to keep the Seed of Yggdrasil alive as long as possible against a constant flow of enemies. Set the parameters of your game: size, difficulty and more – the more challenging, the more XP will be earned. This mode enables players to strap in for a marathon or quick gameplay session. 
• Challenging Boss Battles – Every few days, the Jötnar, Giants who tower over the land with their terrifying stature, arrive out in the wilderness and slowly make their way toward the Seed. They can crush the underprepared in a single blow, so make sure to be ready by scouting out the Giant and crafting the right weapons to counter them. Whittle away at their enormous health pool in tactical raids or bring the entire tribe’s might to bear and crush them in one fell swoop! 
• RPG Progression – Explore the unknown to collect resources, craft legendary gear and build your character up to stave off Ragnarök. Progress along eight different classes offering unique ways to take on foes. Choose from 30 different Rune modifiers and offer a wide variety of potent abilities and status buffs (e.g., damage, armour, movement, drop chance).  
• Exploration – Traverse the procedurally generated world of Midgard to uncover ancient ruins, discover daunting dungeons and face treacherous enemy camps to loot for rewards… and never play the same map twice.  
• Building – Create ramps, bridges and walls to traverse the world of Midgard with its steep cliffs and cross winding rivers. Construct mighty fortifications to protect the home village, guarding it against hordes of Helthings and of course, the colossal Jötnar.  
• Free Seasonal Updates – The Wolf Saga is just the beginning, as Tribes of Midgard will be updated with free seasonal content releases to let players live out the epic sagas of Norse myth and legend. Each season will build upon the last with new content that adds to the adventure, creating the ultimate Viking sandbox.

The physical edition of Spiritfarer from iam8bit and Thunder Lotus Games, with distribution by Skybound Games, features a 96-page digital art book, six collectible postcards and sticker stamp sets highlighting exotic locations from the game and a digital download of the game’s soundtrack, composed by Max LL. 

Spiritfarer is a cozy indie management sim about dying where players take the role of Stella, ferry master to the deceased, as she befriends and cares for spirits on their way to the afterlife. Eidos-Montréal’s Cinematics & Animation Director shares some unexpected insight behind one of the most imposing characters in this new cinematic from Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy

SYDNEY (August 9, 2021) – Today Eidos-Montréal has released a new gameplay cinematic building on last June’s global reveal of Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy at E3, picking up the story with Star-Lord and the Guardians as they commence their plan to negotiate with Lady Hellbender: leader of the Hellraisers, queen of Seknarf Nine and notorious monster collector.

With the decision left to the player on which “rare monster” to sell, AKA Groot or Rocket, this memorable moment ignites a chain of events that sees our band of misfits off on their wild ride across the cosmos, caught in a struggle for the fate of the universe.

With behind-the-scenes commentary from Darryl Purdy, Cinematics & Animation Director at Eidos-Montréal, it swiftly becomes clear that not all is what it seems, and Lady Hellbender may not be the cosmic monster trophy hunter the band of misfits have been led to believe.

Darryl Purdy says: “Lady Hellbender is a fan-favourite character from Marvel’s recent comic lore, and we were keen to ensure her place in our Guardians universe reflects the complex personality, depth, and nature fans expect to see. And with humour instilled in every aspect of our game, this gave us an opportunity to flip expectations with the story and introduce an unexpected dynamic between her and a certain Destroyer.” 

Finally, Darryl also shares insight behind the game’s production, touching upon the importance the role of group performance capture played for bringing these galaxy-born characters to the screen. Close to six hours of interactive cinematics were produced for this multi-faceted, wholly original story.

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy will be available on PlayStation®5 console, PlayStation®4 console, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One consoles, and PC digital on October 26, 2021.

Hit the Streets with Up to 10 Friends in New Online Mode

Easy Day Studios announced today the launch of Skater XL’s Online Multiplayer Free Skate Mode on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Steam. Available now as a free downloadable update, Free Skate Mode allows up to 10 players the ability to jump into an online skate session together.

The Skater XL Online Multiplayer Free Skate Mode allows players to join a random public room or start their own and invite friends to join using a passcode. Adding to the experience, the same replay editor functionality found in single player can be used in the new online mode, giving players the ability to save and edit group party lines, individual tricks and memorable in-game events.

The update also includes months of work on performance improvements for consoles, with increased frame rate and a significantly smoother feel to gameplay especially on base model units. The First Wearable Role-Playing Game Arrives with the Tricorder Collector’s Edition Boxed Set along with three new Division dice sets, Gamemaster/Player Guides, and a Complete Campaign Setting: The Shackleton Expanse Campaign Guide

Set for release this fall is the massive, full-color, 312-page campaign guide centered around the Shackleton Expanse, a little-explored region of the Beta Quadrant unique to Modiphius and the Star Trek Adventures game. The Shackleton Expanse Campaign Guide is the first campaign setting book for the Star Trek Adventures product line and includes setting material to make the Shackleton Expanse your own, as well as an epic 10-part campaign that begins in the original series era and continues into The Next Generation era (and can be adapted for use in any era of play). 

Tricorder Collector’s Edition Boxed Set:
 
Coming this fall is the Star Trek Adventures tricorder boxed set, the ultimate collectible for tabletop fans of the original series. The tricorder is the world’s first wearable roleplaying game for tabletop fans on the move and cosplayers alike. The set contains a 300-page digest-sized core rulebook, campaign booklet, rules summary sheets, dice, tokens, and character cards for both the crew of the NCC-1701 U.S.S. Enterprise and the crew of the U.S.S. Lexington (featured in the Star Trek Adventures living campaign and forthcoming Shackleton Expanse Campaign Guide).
 
Every component has been designed to immerse you in the style of the original series, with the full-color digest edition core rulebook featuring a graphic design based on the screen displays and color scheme of the original series’ Enterprise, with lavish illustrations of the era. Its unique collector’s edition dice match the colors of Captain Kirk’s tunic in green and gold.
 
Opening with a magnetic flap at the top of the box, it features paneling and texture designs based on the original tricorder prop. The tricorder is made from durable ultra-density board, while the components inside are robust but lightweight.

To that end, the Star Trek Adventures team developed two brand-new full-color digest-sized guides, set for release this Christmas season — the Player’s Guide and the Gamemaster’s Guide – to be companion volumes to the various core rulebooks (regular core, Klingon core, or tricorder digest.) Each guide is packed full of advice designed to help players and gamemasters create amazing Star Trek game experiences.
 
Both guides contain:

• A primer on the essential elements of Star Trek
• An overview of key Star Trek setting details and technology
• Definitions of six key Star Trek eras
