Third Annual Season of Pride Sets New Fundraising, Viewership Records
Gamers Rise Up to Spread Love to LGBTQIA+ and Diversity Charities
SAN FRANCISCO – August 17, 2021 –Season of Pride 2021, the third-annual month-long celebration of LGBTQIA+ diversity in games, set new fundraising and viewership records through Twitch streams, raising more than $29,500 for eight charities thanks in part to more than 2.2 million views combining for more than 21 years of viewership.
Season of Pride, formerly known as Summer of Pride but renamed since Pride is not and should not be limited to one particular time of year, achieved more than 186,000 hours of viewership from more than 70+ LGBTQIA+ Twitch streamers around the world. Titles featured during the event included AAA releases like Dead by Daylight and The Sims 4 as well as beloved indie offerings like Sayonara Wild Hearts, Kitty Powers’ Love Life, and many more.
“Working on behalf of Behaviour with Cade and Season of Pride was a truly lovely experience,” said Mae Morrison, Influencer Manager, Behaviour Interactive, developers of Dead by Daylight. “We had a lot of laughs, raised some money for amazing causes and it was great to partner with an organization that uplifts queer voices all year round.”
“Season of Pride bolsters everything we do at Trans Lifeline, it spreads awareness about our services, it lets trans people see that they are supported by a wonderful community of content creators, and it provides vital funding for our work,” said Bri Barnett, Director of Advancement, Trans Lifeline. “The communities on Twitch fund over 15% of our budget annually, it’s impossible to overstate the impact of these events.”
“Our 3rd annual Season of Pride event was a smash! We’re so proud of what we’ve done this year and every year,” said Cade Peterson, CEO, MidBoss. “It continues to grow and touch hearts and minds of gaymers everywhere, all while bringing together so many amazing people to fundraise for some very deserving charities doing great work to make the world a better place for underserved minorities while promoting positive LGBTQIA+ characters and stories.”
Based out of San Francisco (although not the Neo kind), MidBoss aims to make the world better, safer and more inclusive for marginalized people, especially those across the gender and sexuality spectrum, by creating cool experiences through games and other forms of media which diversify representation, as well as becoming a platform for queer content around the world.
MidBoss expanded on the world it created in 2064: Read Only Memories with a Read Only Memories comic series in late 2019. The studio is also responsible for the creation and curation of Season of Pride, an annual month-long celebration of diversity in games featuring titles with good LGBTQIA+ representation and an array of queer and POC content creators.

Nazi Cults, Ancient Artifacts, Secret Bases, Dauntless Heroes, and Horrors Beyond Comprehension in this Pacy, Pulp—Influenced World War II Roleplaying Extravaganza!
“Each and every man under my command owes me one hundred Nazi scalps!” – Lt. Aldo Raine
London, UK (August 17, 2021) — Today, tabletop RPG gurus Modiphius Entertainment announce the full range of Achtung! Cthulhu 2d20, books, dice, and accessories will start shipping from the Modiphius Website on September 28, 2021, with all print customers receiving final digital versions from today! Retail editions are expected to follow in October and November from your friendly local game store.
This heart-pounding 2d20 pulp adventure setting and rulebooks pits the brave men and women of Britain’s Section M, their dauntless counterparts in United States’ Majestic, and the tenacious underdogs of the French Resistance — against the terrifying menace of the Nazi Black Sun cult and nameless ancient evils from beyond the stars!
Achtung! Cthulhu 2d20 — originally created by Modiphius founder Chris Birch, and developed by narrative designer and Cthulhu author John Houlihan and respected game designer Nathan Dowdell (Conan, Star Trek, John Carter, Dishonored, Fallout, and Dune RPGs) — launches with a full roster of core books, bundles, and accessories to give you a chance to battle Nazi occultists and elder gods in a thrilling cinematic World War II adventure which promises a rollicking tabletop ride.
Since the Achtung! Cthulhu 2d20 pre-order launched in March, Modiphius has released a regular roster of monthly missions including Operation Vanguard, Under the Gun, Seventh Inning Slaughter, and Operation Falling Crystal, which have already received rave reviews. These single missions will soon be joined by two more epic campaigns: Shadows of Atlantis and Forest of Fear in 2022.
Battle fearsome Black Sun troopers who utilize ancient magics and incantations to summon extra-dimensional monsters! Use good ol’ fashioned teamwork and bullets to stop the technological prowess of the terrifying Nachtwölfe – the Night Wolves – and their powerful wunderwaffen! Save the world from the Nazis and strange alien races that live amongst us — like the Deep Ones, Mi-Go, and nameless horrors from unspeakable realms! All this from the comfort and (relative) safety of your tabletop.
“Achtung! Cthulhu is our most beloved in-house RPG here at Modiphius,” said John Houlihan, current Achtung! Cthulhu overlord at Modiphius Entertainment. “We’ve created an amazing, cinematic, pulp-influenced world of World War II action and adventure here which will thrill fans of Indiana Jones, Hellboy, and Overlord and we cannot wait for players to dive in and experience it for themselves. No other game lets you punch so much evil – from Nazis to Mythos monsters to Elder Gods – in the face and that’s guaranteed!”
Key Features of Achtung! Cthulhu:
Player’s Guide: Complete rules for playing Achtung! Cthulhu, character creation guide, and an innovative new magic system based on ancient lore and culture.

Highly Detailed Miniatures: Create your own army of Black Sun troopers and dangerous Deep Ones with intricately designed miniatures sure to impress your tabletop compatriots.
The freshly announced Shadows of Atlantis campaign which has been completely remixed and revised for 2d20, is a globe-spanning action-adventure in seven episodes. Transporting agents from the bustling streets of Rome to the ancient pyramids of Egypt, to the snowy mountains of Tibet, with a time-traveling excursion to fabled Atlantis, agents race against time to prevent the pieces of a powerful ancient artifact falling into Nazi hands. With a wealth of new art and original maps, it’s the perfect introduction to the setting for those new to Achtung! Cthulhu, and will be appearing early 2022.
