Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun – Aiko´s Choice shows first gameplay at gamescom 2021

Brand-new trailer reveals the return of a beloved character and teases release window in December 2021

Hamburg/Munich, Germany, August 31st, 2021 – Publisher Daedalic Entertainment and developer Mimimi Games revealed a first gameplay trailer for Aiko’s Choice, the long-awaited standalone expansion for the acclaimed real-time tactics game Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun. Aiko’s Choice will be released in December 2021, and once again send players to Edo Japan, where they join the kunoichi adept Aiko and her companions in her quest to quiet the ghosts of her past.

Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun – Aiko´s Choice focuses on one of the main game’s protagonists: the kunoichi adept Aiko. She is a master of camouflage and distracts enemies disguised as a geisha. While Aiko was certain that she left her old life behind, her former sensei, the cunning spymaster Lady Chiyo, reappears from the shadows to challenge her. Together with her friends, a group of deadly assassins, she sets out to hunt down the ghosts of her past.

The expansion features three full-fledged main missions, set in brand-new environments, and three shorter interlude missions.

Like in the main game, you take control of a team of lethal specialists, move in the shadows and sneak past dozens of enemies. Choose your approach wisely when infiltrating hidden forest camps or lively Edo-period towns. Set traps, poison and distract your opponents – or avoid enemy contact altogether. Carefully plan your every move and come up with your own ingenious tactics to vanquish enemies and complete each of the challenging missions to uncover Aiko´s past.

Features:

  • Return to the beautiful world of Shadow Tactics set in Japan in the early Edo period.
  • Rejoin your favorite characters for one final adventure set within the story of the main game Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun.
  • Experience a previously untold tale centered around the kunoichi adept Aiko, who has to face a vicious enemy connected to her past.
  • Explore three full-fledged main missions, located in brand-new environments, and three shorter interlude missions.

The expansion includes all the features of the main game:

  • Play a team of completely different characters with their own unique skill sets.
  • Synchronize your team’s actions to strike down your enemies at once with the “Shadow Mode” feature.
  • Choose between non-lethal or deadly stealth attacks.
  • Find dozens of ways to take out or sneak past your opponents the way you want.
  • Choose from three difficulty levels to match your skill.

Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun – Aiko’s Choice is set to release on PC in December 2021. Please visit the official Steam page for more information. A copy of the main game is not required to play this standalone expansion but it is recommended to experience the first missions of the main game before diving into Aiko´s Choice.

About Dolmen

Dolmen takes place in a sci-fi universe where humanity has colonized several star systems using space travel technology and genetic manipulation to adapt to the conditions.

The Revion system is far from the main inhabited area of the galaxy, but drew the attention of Zoan Corp. for emitting radiation that’s different from other systems, suggesting the existence of other universes. There is only one planet in this system, named Revion Prime.

Before the events taking place, there was no evidence of the existence of other dimensions. The scientific and military interest behind this discovery could destabilize the existing political balance but, more than that, research on Revion Prime also revealed the existence of an alien species called Vahani; whose apparent job it is to roam the universes helping other species to evolve. Their interests are obscure and it remains to be seen if the creation of xeno-species could have been influenced by them. The player needs to discover the secrets of Revion Prime and the Dolmen crystals.

Airborne Kingdom Lifts Off for Console Release Nov. 9, 2021

Landing on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, More

EARTH – Aug. 27, 2021 – Airborne Kingdom, the flying city builder from developer The Wandering Band and publisher Freedom Games, explores new aerial adventures on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, on Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2021.

A great kingdom in the sky once existed. It brought peace and harmony to the lands below. However, one day, that kingdom vanished. Without its guidance, civilization devolved and fractured. Now, a new community is taking to the skies and looking to restore the balance.

Take off into the rarefied air and travel throughout vast open landscapes to reunite the world. Gather and manage resources to expand. Dispatch workers. Construct academies. Research technology to better homes, water systems, and food silos to improve the lives of the citizenry. Then forge alliances by sharing supplies and knowledge with neighboring kingdoms.

The console versions of Airborne Kingdom include everything found in the BAFTA-nominated PC release, including the recently-released New Game Plus Update. This mode features a sprawling new world to explore with increased challenge and fresh twists like new town centers to give city builders a leg up on this more trying journey. The experience also introduces more variety with increased randomized elements ranging from questlines to kingdom placement.

“Our team is all about adventure and sparking creativity,” said Ben Wander, lead designer, The Wandering Band. “Airborne Kingdom is full of peace and possibility and we look forward to sharing what we’ve created with the Nintendo, PlayStation, and Xbox communities when the game comes in for a landing on consoles this November.”

Airborne Kingdom launches for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on Nov. 9, 2021. It is out now on PC exclusively via the Epic Games Store.
