Award-Winning Musical VR Adventure Rhythm of the Universe: IONIA Makes Sound Waves 23 September

Proceeds to Support Wildlife Warriors Worldwide

BOSTON — 27 Aug. 2021 — Revealed moments ago during gamescom: Studio live, IONIA, the first game in the Rhythm of the Universe adventure series about preserving the environment with the power of music from ROTU Entertainment, releases Thursday, 23 Sept. 2021 for Oculus Quest, PlayStation VR, and SteamVR for compatible PC VR headsets.

Save the Harpa, an endangered mythical being, by solving puzzles rooted in music theory. Hands-on interactions between VR controllers draw the sounds of sharp drum beats, soft bell tones, and other eclectic echoes from the flora and fauna of IONIA. Climb trees and zipline across ravines strewn throughout gorgeous environments. Saving the Ionian forest will require exploring this world and learning its rhythms.

IONIA’s combination of an immersive, exciting world and important message earned it accolades from across the gaming and entertainment spaces. The game won an award at Cannes XR Development Showcase 2020, part of the prestigious Cannes Film Festival, and was nominated for another at Raindance Film Festival. In addition, Epic Games awarded an Epic Mega Grant to the title to support its efforts for showcasing Unreal Engine technology.

IONIA aims to create good vibrations in the real world and virtual reality, as five percent of proceeds from Rhythm of the Universe will benefit the environmental non-profit Wildlife Warriors Worldwide, founded in 2002 by Steve and Terri Irwin. With support from the explorers of IONIA, we are helping to protect wildlife and wild places all over the planet.

“We are proud to be working with the team at ROTU to engage the virtual reality explorers of IONIA in the conservation of this planet’s precious wildlife and wild places. Thank you for supporting Wildlife Warriors Worldwide in the protection of injured, threatened, and endangered wildlife everywhere,” said wildlife conservationist and photographer Robert Irwin.

“We had to make sure we didn’t just have a conservationist message without putting our money where our mouths are,” said Jason Parks, ROTU CEO. “When you’re virtually ziplining and trying to find your rhythm, just know that you’re supporting a great organization in Wildlife Warriors.”

Rhythm of the Universe: IONIA releases 23 Sept. on the Oculus Store for Oculus Quest and Oculus Rift, PlayStation VR for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 via backward compatibility, and Steam VR for Valve Index, Oculus Rift S, HTC Vive, Vive Pro, and HP Reverb G2 with English, Spanish, French, Simplified Chinese, and German language support. IONIA is rated E for Everyone and equivalent in regions around the world.

1950s LA tycoon management game City Block Builder comes to Steam Early Access on September 22nd

New trailer showcases cinema construction and game modes

Bangalore, India – August 27th, 2021 – Tentworks Interactive is proud to reveal that its upcoming multi-business management game, City Block Builder, is coming to Steam Early Access on September 22nd. To commemorate this milestone, Tentworks has released an all new trailer showcasing how players can construct the movie theater of their dreams!

City Block Builder is a mashup of deep tycoon management games with large-scale city building elements. Set in Los Angeles during the 1950s, the game puts you in the shoes of a young, budding entrepreneur who is determined to build their own business empire. Fresh off the victory of WWII, Los Angeles is the pop culture capital of the world. With the glitz and glamour of Hollywood, designer shops, and finest cuisine money can buy, all under a canopy of clear blue skies, the City of Angels represents the “American Dream” at its most ideal.

As the owner of several establishments, it’s up to you to make every decision, both large and small, about how your enterprise operates. Choose which tiles, wallpapers, and furniture to decorate with. Decide what movies your cinema plays and at what times. Set the menu for your restaurant. Hire and fire staff. Nobody said building an empire was going to be easy!

City Block Builder will allow you to erect all manner of trades from bowling alleys, to jazz clubs, to drive-in theaters, parlors and more. Micromanage each business down to every detail, from its layout, to its lighting, to ensuring the entrance makes optimal use of foot traffic in your bustling borough! City Block Builder encourages players to find creative solutions to complex problems. Setting up the L.A.’s entertainment hub has never been so immersive!

Each detail of City Block Builder is brought to life in glorious detail through hand-drawn art paying homage to the incredible culture of the era. Movies, posters, comic books, and advertisements capture the look and feel of the 1950s with their bold, technicolor palette, dapper outfits, and neat slogans. Even the foliage has been extensively researched to be accurate to the time, changing dynamically with the seasons.

While City Block Builder’s campaign mode will take you from rags to riches as you micro and macro manage each monetary decision, there will also be a Sandbox Mode offering full freedom to create the Los Angeles of your dreams with no expense spared! Every decision you make will set you on a different path giving different players varying outcomes.

“Tentworks is a unique company in that we’re among the only indie studios based in India,” said Jay Basani, CEO of Tentworks Interactive. “We wanted to set our game in 1950s LA though, because it’s a setting that’s recognized all around the world. Plus I’m just a 50s junkie and love the aesthetic of Hollywood in its golden era. As such, City Block Builder has been a passion project of mine for a long time. I’m thrilled for people to finally be able to check it out on Steam Early Access, and I can’t wait to hear everyone’s feedback!”

PENITENCE NEVER ENDS! BLASPHEMOUS SEQUEL ANNOUNCED FOR 2023

The Game Kitchen’s sequel to the 2019 multi-award-winning action-platformer was confirmed alongside Wounds of Eventide, a brand new free DLC for the original Blasphemous.

Friday, 27th August 2021 – Team17 and The Game Kitchen have announced the development of a Blasphemous sequel, which is scheduled to arrive in 2023. Currently in the early stages of production, the game will be a direct follow-up to the multi-award-winning 2019 action-platformer. The announcement came alongside the reveal of Wounds of Eventide, a brand-new and free content update for the original Blasphemous that concludes The Penitent One’s first journey and unlocks the game’s true ending.

Coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch™, and PC on 9th December, Wounds of Eventide introduces new bosses, areas, and items, and underlines the stark truth that penitence never ends… it only changes.

Break the cycle, and live the truth:

The Game Kitchen, said:

“We’re so excited to finally announce that we’ve started work on a Blasphemous sequel, the community have shown so much love for the first game and we can’t wait to share more when we can! New beginnings also mean new endings, and Wounds of Eventide is exactly that, it’s the final instalment for the original Blasphemous and we hope people love playing the new content as much as we loved creating it.”

“Finally, we wanted to share some behind the scenes from the production of the trailer you’ve just watched, it was important to us to stay true to the game’s roots, so we included a live orchestral track recorded by a selection of traditional and authentic procession musicians, with some of the orchestra having performed during the Holy Week in Seville, Spain. We want to extend our thanks to everyone involved in the process, especially the incredible musicians who bought our vision to life so vividly.”
