BEASTRO DISHES UP DELICIOUS DEMO AT STEAM NEXT FEST 

Roll up your sleeves and get stuck in

LOS ANGELES (Feb. 23, 2026) – Beastro is back on the menu, as Timberline Studio confirms the cozy culinary adventure will feature an updated playable demo during Steam Next Fest, which is available right now. For returning players, or those stepping into the kitchens of Palo Pori for the first time, its unique blend of cooking, farming and deckbuilding combat is a feast for the senses.

The Next Fest demo introduces players to several of the game’s Caretakers, each representing a different taste that shapes combat and character dynamics: 

  • Oyshi, the Umami Caretaker, is a gentle, comforting soul with a natural affinity for animals and people alike. His name references the classic umami ingredients of mushrooms (“oyster,” “shiitake,”) and oishii, the Japanese word for delicious. 
  • Kalan, the Bitter Caretaker, is a more…acquired taste. First encountered alone in the wilds, resistant to help and proud of his independence. Winning him over requires patience, but discovering his favorite dish becomes a real turning point, proving that even those most guarded can be won over by the right meal. 

The updated demo also includes a variety of new content, including brand-new NPCs breathing new life into Palo Pori, increased language support for both in-game content and external feedback with improved access to the town map alongside a heap more of quality-of-life features. In Beastro, every meal players prepare becomes their cards in a flavorful deckbuilding system, powering theatrical puppet-style combat encounters, where strategy and seasoning matter just as much as timing. As Panko, the talented Caracal chef, players must keep the villagers and adventurers well fed, as ravenous monsters begin to destroy the spirits outside of your home.The only way to defeat them is by keeping bellies full.

Sudden Strike 5 Announces Participation in Steam Next Fest

Kalypso Media and Kite Games Storm a Demo on the Shores of Steam

Bracknell, UK – February 23rd, 2025 Publisher Kalypso Media and Developer Kite Games have today announced that Sudden Strike 5, their upcoming Real-Time Strategy WWII game and latest installment in the Sudden Strike series, will have a playable demo during the Steam Next Fest from today, February 23rd, up until March 2nd. This comes following a successful Closed Beta period last year and nearly a decade since the previous game, Sudden Strike 4, released in 2017.

Generals, prepare to fall in line and command the forces of two out of the three factions across two specially selected missions, “Attack on Monte Cassino” (Western Allies) and “Defence of Sevastopol” (Soviets) – the final game will also include the ability to play as the Axis forces. These two missions are just a taste of the full game, which will include a massive 25-missions across the three faction campaigns, ranging from icy tundra to the blistering heat of Northern Africa. At launch, the full game will feature 25 missions, multiplayer modes, along with additional balancing, and improvements not present in this demo.

Set aboard a mysterious derelict cruise liner, players must survive and escape as the ship teeters on the edge of ruin. SENARA: The Sacrament puts players in the role of a new recruit of a religious organization with a massive 6,000-ton ship: the Senara. Upon setting sail you wake up to find the crew missing, while unspeakably horrors roam its steel corridors. Hidden cult rituals, forbidden truths, and survivors with their own agendas await you in the darkness. In a place where blind faith and salvation intertwine, you’ll be forced to make choices that go far beyond survival.

Hearkening back to classic survival horror design, SENARA: The Sacrament offers a massive escape room where you must solve puzzles and use limited resources to your advantage if you’re to get out alive. In order to get out of the Senara alive, you’ll have to ration your resources, make use of stealth, and make difficult decisions regarding when to fight or flee. Explore the complex, intertwined corridors of this structure based on a real ship, uncover hidden passages, and gather clues to find the key to your escape.

This unholy tale is open to interpretation with snippets of truth scattered across documents, objects, and conversations between characters. Voidling Bound Will Hatch in June! A Sci-Fi Monster-Taming Action RPG Built on Evolution & DNA Splicing

FEBRUARY 23rd, 2026 Canadian indie studio Hatchery Games, composed of ex-Skylanders developers, just dropped the release date for Voidling Bound during The Mix Indie Fan Fest!

Voidling Bound is coming to Steam on June 9th, 2026. And will also be releasing on consoles at a later date: PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch 2, exact date TBA.

Described by players as a cross between Spore and Warframe, Voidling Bound allows you to evolve Voidlings through branching paths, shaping both their abilities and appearance. Discovers wild mutant genes and use them to craft unique Voidlings. Unleash powerful synergies through near-limitless build-making possibilities!

The newly revealed release date trailer features fresh gameplay footage, teases several bosses, as well as a first look at breeding and training features for your Voidling companions.

Demo Out Now + Steam Next Fest Participation

About the Studio

Voidling Bound is the first title from Hatchery Games, an indie studio based in Quebec City. Formed from a shared desire to revitalize the monster-catching genre, the team previously worked together on the Skylanders franchise before pooling their experience into Voidling Bound. The game aims to be a genre-defining monster tamer, where players can finally take full control of their creatures in third-person. Blending high-octane sci-fi nostalgia with a vibrant palette, Voidling Bound brings to life a universe of colorful yet deadly creatures.

Jonathan Rancourt

Jonathan is Co-Founder and Creative Director at Hatchery Games. His work can be seen on multiple high-profile titles such as Skylanders to Borderlands 3, with 13 years in the video game industry as an artist, team lead and project director. He’s at the helm of this project and in charge of the realization of the game.

Simon Grelier

Simon is Co-Founder and our Technical Director. After spending 8 years as a programmer for big companies such as Ubisoft and Beenox (Rainbow Six: Siege, Skylanders, Call of Duty), he decided to jump into this crazy adventure that is the indie world.

Frederick Gagnon

Frederick is Co-Founder and Executive Producer at Hatchery Games. He is handling the PR and Marketing for the game. With 17 years of experience as a game developer (Skylanders, Borderlands 3), lead and animation supervisor in VFX (Alien Covenant, Stranger Things: S3), Frederick is also in charge of rigging, audio and music direction.

Carl-Simon Picard

Carl-Simon is Co-Founder and our Narrative Director. With 13 years of experience as a team lead and animator in both video games (Skylanders, Amazing Spiderman) and VFX production (Alien Covenant, Stranger Things: S3, His Dark Material) Carl is in charge of our animation direction, as well as designing our narrative quest, and building Voidling Bound’s universe!
