Fight Murderous Puppets to the Beat in Rhythm-Action Roguelite Alpha Nomos, Now Available on Steam and Consoles

Wield live-recorded instruments as weapons and bring the music back to a world that lost its rhythm

October 12, 2026 – Alpha Nomos, the rhythm-action roguelite from independent studio RibCage Games, is now available on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. To mark the launch, the game is 10% off on Steam for the first 7 days.

To celebrate launch day, RibCage Games has released a launch trailer. It shows Cello’s instrument-driven combat, the powerups that remix every run and the corrupted circus waiting at the end of the road. Check it out below.

Something broke the music and the world broke with it. Cities stand empty, the circus has turned on its audience and the puppets that once performed now hunt anything that moves. Cello and her friends are the last ones still listening and the only way forward is to fight in time.

Alpha Nomos was built on one idea: rhythm should be the core of the combat, not something layered on top. Every input lands exactly when it is pressed, with no quantization snapping it to the beat. Hitting on time is a real skill and the game rewards players who learn it. Cello’s weapons are real instruments recorded live in the studio, from cello to the xylophone-blade Xyloblades, so every strike carries an actual performance. As players improve, the soundtrack builds with them.

Each run is shaped by musical powerups such as Reverb, Flanger and Delay. Stacking them changes how Cello fights and how the whole run sounds, so no two builds play or sound the same. Between runs, players can visit Maestro’s move shop to expand their arsenal. A timing offset lets every player tune the beat to their own setup before stepping into the arena.

“We always felt rhythm games could go further, so we made the beat the reason you fight instead of something playing in the background. Every weapon you hear was played by a real musician and every hit lands exactly when you press it. Today the full show is finally open and we can’t wait to hear what players make of it,” said Itamar Berner, CEO at RibCage Games.

KEY FEATURES

  • True-to-Press Rhythm Combat: No input quantization. Every hit lands when you press it and staying on beat is what makes you dangerous.
  • Live Instruments, Real Weapons: Every weapon is a studio-recorded instrument, played by real musicians.
  • Powerups You Can Hear: Stack Reverb, Flanger, Delay and more to reshape your moves and your mix in the same run.
  • A Soundtrack That Follows You: The music builds as your performance does, turning each run into its own track.
  • Puppetcore World: Abandoned cities and a twisted circus full of puppets that have forgotten how to stop.

Alpha Nomos is available now on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S for $17.99. A 10% launch discount is available on Steam for the first 7 days.

The Epicosy Life-Sim Builder Is Here: Moonfrost Is OUT NOW on Steam Early Access

Rebuild a broken village, forge relationships and uncover the mystery of a second moon.

October 12, 2026 – Oxalis Games has launched Moonfrost, its narrative-driven cozy life-sim RPG, on Steam Early Access today.

Moonfrost is made by a collective studio of hand-crafted game makers. It blends the warmth of a cozy life-sim with the depth of a building simulation. A launch trailer is available now:

One hundred years ago, a second moon appeared in the sky. It rained icy meteorites across the world and left it in ruins. Survivors named the strange substance Moonfrost. Now players take up the mantle of the Frost Hunters, the pioneers who learned to harness the power hidden in these frozen shards and bring a struggling village back to life.

In Moonfrost, rebuilding the town means rebuilding its people. Each home and business restored brings another villager back, along with new relationships to form. Every character has their own personality and story arc that evolves as the village grows. Some become close friends and some become something more. The choices players make shape how the whole community comes together.

The loop is all about growth. Farm, fish, forage and gather raw materials, then craft them into goods. Use those goods to build, take on quests that unlock new tools and fill requests that fund future crafting.

Beyond the village, ancient temples hold dangerous enemies, deadly traps and rare resources. They also hold clues to the truth behind the second moon.

“Moonfrost has always been about people coming together to fix something broken. Today we finally get to share that vision with everyone who waited for it. Thank you for sticking with us.” said Gina Nelson, Oxalis Games

Key Features

Get ready, Elon! Blind Descent goes into Early Access below the surface of Mars on December 2nd

Survival depends on your ability to learn and adapt; co-op playtest starts on October 14th

Nicosia, Cyprus, October 12th, 2026 — Owlcat subsidiary META Publishing and developer Pokuch will launch Sci-fi survival game Blind Descent into early access on Steam. GOG and the Epic Games Store on December 2nd 2026. Life on Mars is not as easy as some might think and requires players to either physically adapt to their new environment or find technological ways to deal with the threats and challenges all around themselves.

Watch the release date trailer:

In Blind Descent, players have to start from scratch after crashing at a Martian excavation site during a rescue mission gone wrong. They discover a marvelous and dangerous world below the surface of the Red Planet but get infected with a mysterious alien growth threatening to mutate them. In order to survive and find out what happened to their fellow crew members and the science team they were originally supposed to rescue, players have to explore, scavenge, build, fight off alien creatures and decide what to do with their infection. Choosing symbiosis with alien organisms unlocks powerful mutations like telekinesis or wall running but threatens to undermine their humanity. Staying pure means access to new technology that might well be the key to surviving on Mars. It’s up to the players how to develop their character.

Key features of Blind Descent:

• Survival: Keep the infection at bay, treat body-part injuries, rest when and where you can, scan everything and decide if you want to embrace symbiosis or stay pure
• Exploration: Traverse the Martian cavern with the grappling hook or mutation powers, uncover the story by finding recordings, logs, radio calls and updating the in-game codex and solve environmental puzzles
• Crafting: Modular crafting instead of following fixed recipes, build and upgrade your own modular weapons, tools, shelter, medicine and more
• Combat: Every weapon type plays different and every enemy type requires different strategies
• Coop: Easy to join online co-op for up to four players with crossplay between Steam, GOG and EGS, shared quests, shared world, separate inventory and mutations

Before the Early Access launch, there will be another playtest, this time testing co-op. It will be available starting October 14th.

CO-OP ROGUELITE HORROR UNDERMIRE DESCENDS ON STEAM FRIDAY, 13TH NOVEMBER

Table Knight Games reveals a brand-new playable character and fresh gameplay in a new trailer debuting during the Cozy After Dark Showcase.

Manchester, United Kingdom – October 12, 2026. Indie publisher and developer Table Knight Games has revealed that its hand-drawn co-op roguelite horror adventure UnderMire will descend onto PC via Steam on Friday, November 13, 2026, with the release date revealed in an all-new trailer debuting during the Cozy After Dark Showcase.

Alongside the release date, the new trailer introduces Rawiah, the latest playable character to join UnderMire’s increasingly chaotic roster. Armed with a spell-casting tome, Rawiah brings a distinctly magical approach to dealing with the horrors lurking within the Mire. Table Knight Games is also unveiling brand-new key art featuring the full playable roster, bringing Hannah, Leo, Rawiah and Sam together for the first time.

The new trailer gives players their first look at the first layer of the Bunker, including a brand-new grassy biome, new gameplay and a particularly unwelcome encounter with the elusive Mothman. Is the mysterious creature a warning of the chaos to come, or is it the one bringing the chaos itself?

With its hand-drawn art style, spooky-cozy atmosphere and unpredictable roguelite gameplay, UnderMire throws players into a magical bunker where survival is less about having the perfect plan and more about improvising when everything inevitably goes wrong.

GRAB YOUR FRIENDS. SMUSH EVERYTHING.

UnderMire is a 1-4 player first-person online co-op roguelite adventure where players descend into an ever-changing magical bunker, battling fear-fuelled monsters, overcoming hazards and uncovering the mysteries hidden beneath an old English manor. Proximity voice chat adds another layer of chaos as players work together, or panic together, when things go wrong.

Players can choose from four distinct characters: Hannah, Leo, Rawiah and Sam, each bringing their own personality, playstyle and tools to the fight.

The Bunker itself is constantly changing, with multiple biomes filled with enemies, bosses, traps and puzzles. Players will need to manage their fear gauge, complete strange tasks, discover secrets and adapt to whatever the Bunker throws at them.

And when conventional weapons aren’t enough, there is always the SMUSH system. Almost anything can be combined and repurposed into something useful, from healing items to improvised explosives and bizarre elemental weapons. In UnderMire, one person’s trash really can become another person’s arsenal.

Key Features

  • SMUSH Everything: Combine everyday junk to create weapons, healing items, explosives and more.
  • Four Unique Characters: Play as Hannah, Leo, Rawiah or Sam, each with their own abilities, tools and playstyles.
  • Explore the Bunker: Discover ever-changing biomes filled with enemies, bosses, traps, puzzles and secrets.
  • Survive Together: Play solo or team up with up to three friends in online co-op with proximity voice chat.
  • Manage Your Fear: Keep your cool as fear-fuelled enemies and unpredictable hazards turn every descent into a new challenge.
  • Uncover the Mystery: Complete strange tasks, meet key characters and discover what lies beneath the manor.

A free playable demo is available now, giving players the chance to descend into the Bunker ahead of launch. Players can also wishlist UnderMire on Steam to stay up to date with the game ahead of its November 13 launch.

For more information, visit the official UnderMire Steam page and join the UnderMire Discord community to share feedback with Table Knight Games ahead of launch.
