FRANKFURT, Germany – Jan. 10, 2021 – Rogue Command, a love letter to the classics from the real-time strategy (RTS), deckbuilding, and roguelike genres from developer Feneq, prepares units for battle on PC via Steam Early Access in Q3 2022, with a console and Mac version providing reinforcements alongside PC’s 1.0 release in 2023.

Command the adorably dangerous Engineer, an A.I. with recently gained sentience who decided working endlessly isn’t a way to live for the next millennia. The Engineer is going rogue and will put it all on the line to push back the interstellar planet core mining corporation coming for his solar system and his day off.

Lead this robotic uprising against the Planetary Core Extractor Company (PCX) by building a base from scratch in procedurally generated battlefields across a star system with 16 distinct planet biomes. Explore through the fog of war, harvest resources to construct foundries, and assemble an insurmountable army.

After each mission, select a blueprint card that allows the construction of a new unit-producing building for this run. Visit a bot buddy at the scrap shop to buy some of the 40 special upgrades to add exciting properties to each blueprint card to get an edge in the war against 25 different rival machine types. Push decks in crazy directions by choosing from more than 100 different strategy-altering blueprints and 90 distinct units. Utilize combos like the nano-darkness of robo-necromancy to swarm your foes or set the maps ablaze with fiery chain reactions consuming forests and opposition alike. 

Select a route during every run in true roguelike fashion to make a deadly visit with the mysterious master ruling over these automatons. Rogue Command mashes together three beloved genres to deliver gameplay that feels immediately familiar to fans of classic RTS games while the blend of roguelike deck-building makes it feel right at home in the current gaming landscape.

Explore two different skill trees in Dying Light 2 Stay Human, each full of new abilities

Wrocław, Poland — 6 January 2022 — With less than a month before the release of Dying Light 2 Stay Human, Techland has shared new information for fans: Two skill trees will be available for main protagonist Aiden Caldwell’s development, each filled with new parkour and combat skills, and these skill trees can be advanced through a new approach to character progression.

While performing specific in-game actions, players will earn experience points in one of two areas—parkour and combat. Traversal actions like climbing, jumping, or vaulting will be rewarded by progressing a parkour-centric experience bar. The more complex and skillful movements players perform, the more experience will be gained. Likewise, to earn combat-centric experience points, players should take the fight straight to enemies and perform combination attacks to net even more experience points.

Completing quests can quickly fill both experience bars, and players shouldn’t neglect the new abilities they pick up along the way, which can be used in concert for bigger experience gains. For example, with the right timing, the combat skill Grapple can throw enemies to the side using their own momentum. Follow up with Stomp for an opportunity to instantly kill enemies you’ve just thrown to the ground. Many such inventive combinations exist for players to incorporate in their playstyles. Of course, these combos extend to parkour skills, as well. Dart temporarily increases your running speed, and combined with Double Jump, a Skill that helps you jump higher while vaulting obstacles, all sorts of unreachable places open up.

Double RDO$ and XP for Gang Hideouts

If you stumble upon any Gang Hideouts while out and about on your travels, make sure to wipe them off the face of the frontier, as they’ll be paying out 2X RDO$ and XP, with increased chances of finding Capitale on felled foes, as well.

Returning Limited-Time Clothing

Get yourself a new look: a smattering of limited-time clothing is returning to local Tailors and the Wheeler, Rawson & Co. Catalogue. Make sure to pick up the Irwin Coat, Salter Shoes, Cossack Hat, Furred Gloves, Darned Stockings, Tied Pants, and a Fanned Stovepipe Hat before February 1.

Step your armaments up by taking advantage of waived rank requirements on the Lancaster Repeater, Double Action Revolver, and Semi Auto Shotgun at local Gunsmiths and within the pages of the Catalogue.
