Valencia, Calif. – February 14, 2022 – It’s time to brawl like it’s 1994! Independent game studio WayForward, in conjunction with Arc System Works, is delighted to announce that the 16-bit beat-’em-up, River City Girls Zero, is now available digitally on Nintendo Switch. Originally published in 1994 on Super Famicom under the name Shin Nekketsu Koha: Kunio-tachi no Banka, River City Girls Zero lets players hit the streets with series mainstays Kunio and Riki alongside hot-blooded heroines Misako and Kyoko in one- or two-player action. Armed with an arsenal of punches, kicks, slams, stomps, and character-specific special moves, the quartet dishes out justice to countless criminals as they attempt to clear Kunio and Riki of a heinous crime. Along the way, they’ll visit a variety of locales — including a crumbling school, a casino, and an amusement park — and even fight from the back of a motorcycle.

While the classic graphics, soundtrack, and gameplay remain true to their original forms thanks to Limited Run Games’ Carbon Engine, the game delivers several new features, including new opening and closing motion-comic cutscenes, a new animated intro, and brand-new music by River City Girls composer Megan McDuffee and rapper DEMONDICE. River City Girls Zero also features both classic and RCG-style English translations, as well as language options for Spanish, French, German, and Italian, plus the original Japanese.

Following the game’s release on Nintendo Switch, River City Girls Zero is planned to launch digitally on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, the Xbox family of systems, and PC in spring 2022. Additionally, physical editions of the Switch, PS4, and PS5 versions — including Standard, Classic, and Ultimate Editions — as well as a variety of River City Girls Zero merchandise, are available to preorder on limitedrungames.com from now through March 13, 2022. DEAR ESTHER goes free on Steam for its Tenth Anniversary

The Chinese Room presents Dear Esther’s tenth anniversary developer diary and makes the award-winning narrative adventure free to download on February 14 and 15

Brighton, United Kingdom – 14 February 2022. The Chinese Room, and publishers Secret Mode are pleased to announce they will celebrate the tenth anniversary of Dear Esther by making the genre-defining 2012 narrative exploration game free to download from Steam on 14 and 15 February.

Dear Esther’s tenth anniversary arrives just two weeks ahead of The Chinese Room’s latest tale, Little Orpheus, which arrives on PC and consoles on 1 March.

On 14 February 2012, Dear Esther immersed players in its stunningly-realised world – a remote and desolate island somewhere in the Outer Hebrides. Abandoning traditional gameplay for a pure story-driven experience, Dear Esther combined beautiful environments with a breath-taking soundtrack to tell a powerful story of love, loss, guilt and redemption.

Dear Esther has won multiple awards since its release in 2012, including the prize for “Excellence in Visual Arts” at the 2012 Independent Games Festival, “Best Use of Narrative” at the 2012 Develop Awards, “Visual Design” and four more awards at the 2012 TIGA Awards, and five nominations at the 2012 BAFTA awards.

“It was a joy working on Dear Esther with such a creative, talented and inspiring group of developers, and we’ve been delighted and humbled by the warmth of the gaming community over the last ten years,” said Dan Pinchbeck of The Chinese Room. “We are thrilled to offer Dear Esther to a new generation of players for its tenth anniversary, and I’m personally looking forward to hearing from those players who are able to explore Dear Esther’s island today for the very first time.”

Dear Esther is usually £7.99 on Steam but is available to download for free from 14 to 15 February. Dear Esther is also available for purchase on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and iOS devices.

The Chinese Room’s other titles include Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs, Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture, and Little Orpheus – launching 1 March for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Steam, Epic Games Store and Nintendo Switch.

Wanted: Dead Cuts Straight To The Heart In New Valentine’s Day Trailer

The walls are painted red in thrilling new look at high-octane  limb-severing action game coming to PS5, Xbox Series X/S & PC

Tolochenaz, Switzerland – February 14th, 2022 – This Valentine’s Day, 110 Industries comes bearing the appropriately red-hued gift that is the bloody new Wanted: Dead Valentine’s Day trailer. The trailer treats us to a closer look at the game’s stylish high-octane combat, complete with spectacular John Wick-esque style finishers and slick, limb-severing swordplay.

Developed by Japanese studio Soleil, Wanted: Dead blends melee sword combat, exciting gunplay and a unique limb severing system to deliver a deep action title inspired by the mechanically rich combat systems found in titles like Devil May Cry, Bayonetta  and Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance.

Players take on the role of Lt. Hannah Stone, stepping into a dark and dangerous vision of cyberpunk Hong Kong as leader of the “Zombie Squad”, an elite team who work outside the purview of the traditional police force. You will fall in love with Stone’s elite combat skills that combine style and substance, delivering cool slow-motion sequences, the ability to issue orders to teammates and a limb severing mechanic that changes enemy attack patterns.

Your date with Wanted: Dead this Valentine’s Day will take a stop at the Atomic Heart diner. Offering a change of pace to the game’s adrenaline-pumping combat, the diner offers a place for Lt. Stone to chill as she consumes food and drinks for buffs that will help her on her deadly missions, while giving us players the chance to get to know the eccentric cast of characters that comprise her team.

“We’ve been thrilled with the response from the press and public since we revealed Wanted: Dead last year,” said  Sergei Kolobashkin, founder and Creative Director at 110 Industries. “Everyone really seems to have embraced the outlandish style and tone we are aiming for! We hope you all enjoy our Valentine’s Day gift and I promise you there will be plenty more to come this year, so keep your eyes open!”.

All proceeds from the shoe auction will be donated to Red Dust to support health initiatives in Indigenous communities

14 February 2022 – 2KAustraliatoday announced a special collaboration with Gamilaroi and Wiradjuri Indigenous artist Allan McKenzie to design a one of a kind NBA® 2K22 inspired shoe for charity. McKenzie customised a pair of adidas Harden Stepback 2.0 basketball shoes and nominated Indigenous charity Red Dust to host an auction with all the proceeds from the sale helping their mission of working together to enrich lives, improve health and strengthen the future of Indigenous youth and families.

The auction will be live on Red Dust’s eBay page at 12pm AEDT on 21 February 2022 and will run until 12pm AEDT 2 March 2022.

“I’m honoured that 2K asked me to collaborate on one of their most popular games, which drove most of the inspiration behind the design of the shoe along with the game of basketball,” said McKenzie. “It’s amazing to be able to have my designs auctioned off to a cause close to my heart, that ties in so well with NBA 2K22.”

“As we commence delivery of Red Dust’s Healthy Living Program in remote communities this year we’re excited to partner with Allan and 2K for this unique initiative,” said Scott Stirling, Red Dust CEO. “Basketball is deeply embedded in Red Dust’s history. The Latest in GTA Online: Short Trips Featuring Franklin and Lamar Now Available for All Players with 2X Rewards and a New Video with Music from NEZ and ScHoolboy Q

Short Trips with Franklin and Lamar Now Available for All Players – Now Easily Accessible via the Jobs Menu and Awarding 2X GTA$ and RP Through February 16

It’s been quite some time since Franklin Clinton and his notorious accomplices knocked over the biggest targets in Southern San Andreas. Since then, Franklin’s put down roots in Los Santos — getting married, starting a family, and even wearing a suit to work. Meanwhile, Lamar just got high. But now it’s LD’s time to come up, and he’s laying the groundwork for a legit, above-board business of his own, if he can just pull it together…

It was supposed to be so simple: a couple storefronts in tourist-friendly neighborhoods, branded grinders, boutique strains, prescription-strength edibles, but Lamar’s run into all sorts of issues getting his operation off the ground. First off, legalization didn’t kill the illegal drug trade, but it did create an incentive for black-market dealers to undercut upstanding, tax-paying citizens like Mr. Davis. Then there are the celebrity investors and venture capitalists who heard about the latest cash-crop and circle overhead like vultures.

As Lamar sees it, Franklin still owes him a couple favors from back in the day. And Franklin’s down for pretty much anything, so long as Tanisha doesn’t find out he’s been smoking again.

Originally only available to play once you’ve completed the VIP Contract tracking down all of Dr. Dre’s missing tracks in The Contract, all GTA Online players can now see the world through the eyes of Franklin and Lamar in the two-player story-based co-op Short Trips — accessible via the Jobs Menu and paying out 2X GTA$ and RP through February 16.

And check out the video above, set to ‘Let’s Get It’ by NEZ and ScHoolboy Q — which can be heard on Radio Los Santos and will also be coming soon to music download and streaming services via CircoLoco Records.

SEED CAPITAL

Lamar’s quest to go legit starts with a warehouse and a truck full of his finest produce. He’s not expecting any trouble – which should tell you all you need to know. When the Vagos show up for their cut, it’s up to Franklin and Lamar to make sure that for once, crime doesn’t pay.

Lamar’s looking to get revenge on the Vagos and plans to burn down some of the gang’s illegal grow houses in the Sandy Shores area. Franklin and Lamar are hoping to reduce the gang’s crops to ashes, but if they’re not careful, they might smoke themselves out in the process.

OG KUSH

Lamar finds his first big client in Jimmy Boston, actor and high-profile Epsilon devotee, whose plans for Lamar’s business are not the kind of corporate synergy Lamar is looking for. More proof that celebrities ruin everything – even weed.

Once you’ve enjoyed your short trips and are feeling more yourself, stick around the studio space. You never know, you might catch a recording session in progress or spot an artist dropping by to visit Dre. Or you might hear Lamar and Franklin playing the dozens and sharing stories about way back when.
