Get Packed: Couch Chaos Moves Into Its New Home On Nintendo Switch Today

Switch version of acclaimed couch co-op removals game out now, delivering new mini-games

Gateshead, United Kingdom – April 28th, 2022 – Coatsink is pleased to announce that a new Switch version of Moonshine Studio’s acclaimed couch co-op removals game, Get Packed, is out now. Get Packed: Couch Chaos delivers the same hilarious local co-op action that made the original release a hit, at a new price point of $14.99 / €14.99 / £9.99 SRP.

Get Packed: Couch Chaos is the local couch co-op removals party game that’s full of calamity and carnage for 1-4 players. When a greedy salt mining company takes over Ditchlington, Last Ditch Removals must handle the hostile eviction. Being the only moving crew in town, demand has far outweighed supply, so there’s no time to dally! Snatch people’s stuff, throw it in the truck, and move on to the next house… leaving a trail of destruction, explosions, and debris in your wake!

The original Get Packed launched to critical acclaim in April of 2020 on Stadia, where it went on to become the #1 highest rated Stadia game on Metacritic. Following an expanded edition that added a truckload of new content that is now available on Switch, this new version also adds a new selection of minigames alongside a full campaign, Time Attack, Versus and Destruction Game Modes.

Are you ready to reclaim the town of Ditchlington?

KAKAO GAMES OPENS UP DYSTERRA FOR GLOBAL BETA

Amsterdam, The Netherlands — April 28, 2022 Kakao Games and developer Reality MagiQ has announced its upcoming multiplayer sci-fi shooter Dysterra will be open to players for an upcoming global beta test this May.

Running between May 4-17, players will be able to participate in the multiplayer beta via Dysterra’s official Steam page — simply by clicking the ‘Request Access’ button.

Dysterra is an online multiplayer game, mixing solid first-person shooting with sophisticated survival and crafting elements, in a distinct dystopian world; following the Terrafire — an enormous pillar of fire that erupted after humans began mining the Earth’s core. Players have to fight to survive as the planet’s final days ebb away.

During the global beta test, they will engage in ferocious battles with a mixture of melee weapons and firearms. While the more taxing crafting requirements (lowering the entry barrier for shelter construction, etc) have been modified to accommodate the game’s beta period, with Kakao Games and developer Reality MagiQ wanting participation to maximize the interaction between players. There will also be more of a focus on acquiring special skills through relentless combat and base occupation.

After feedback from the game’s followers — collated from previous gameplay tests — the expectation is that players will find more hit satisfaction, an upgraded UI, and greater development of motion-capture animations.

More detailed information and play guides will be shared through Dysterra’s official Discord channel and Steam community.

The Dysterra team is currently seeking creators through their own partner program, as well as opening up campaigns in platforms such as Keymailer and Woovit.

Investigate Mothmen 1966’s Mysteries on Consoles and PC July 14, 2022

VANCOUVER, Canada — April 27, 2022 — Mothmen 1966, the first visual novel in a series inspired by mid-20th century pulp fiction and ‘80s home computer graphics published by Chorus Worldwide and developed by LCB Game Studio, searches for the truth on Thursday, July 14, 2022 on PlayStation 4 (playable on PS5), Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.

Every November, the Leonid Meteor Shower lights up the sky in a spectacular astrological display, but the shower of ‘66 brought something…else. Follow young lovers Lee and Victoria, local gas station owner Holt, and paranormal investigator Lou as they all encounter a conspiracy with horrifying implications.

On this fateful night, the line between scientific fact and science fiction blurs. Men in black lurk in the shadows, watching, waiting. Red eyes glare through the deep, dark woods…red eyes Lou believes might belong to the “Mothmen” he’s researching.

Help them survive across eleven chapters of accessible ‘Choose Your Own Adventure’-inspired gameplay punctuated by puzzles. Choices leading to death only provide a temporary setback. Characters speak up to assist players stuck on particularly devious brain-teasers. Clever mini-games create a sense of urgency: repel attacking coyotes, spot cryptids with binoculars, or even try a hand of Impossible Solitaire.

Rendered in a gorgeous 8-bit aesthetic reminiscent of ‘80s home computers like the ZX Spectrum and scored with an otherworldly lo-fi soundtrack, Mothmen 1966 quickly establishes an uncanny atmosphere.

LCB Game Studio’s “Pixel Pulps” fuse exceptional writing and stunning illustration. Mothmen 1966 will be followed by Varney Lake and Bahnsen Knights later this year.

“When we first saw Mothmen 1966, we immediately fell in love with the aesthetic and the writing and knew we had to work with LCB Game Studio,” said Shintaro Kanaoya, founder and CEO of Chorus Worldwide. “What they’re doing with interactive fiction is nostalgic yet appealing and accessible to modern audiences. We’re very excited to be bringing Mothmen 1966 to fans of narrative games everywhere in July.”

“We want our games to be the pulps of interactive fiction,” said Nico Saraintaris, writer and co-founder of LCB Game Studio. “Chorus Worldwide is the perfect partner for us. We share the same interests in interactive fiction, puzzles, and experimentation.”

Mothmen 1966 will be available on PlayStation 4 (playable on PS5), Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam for $8.99/€7.99/ £6.79 with support for English, Spanish, German, French, and Japanese. For more information, join LCB Game Studio’s Discord, follow LCB Game Studio and Chorus Worldwide on Twitter, and visit the official Mothmen 1966 page on Chorus Worldwide’s website.
