Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc. and Bandai Namco Studio Inc. are announcing the first GYAAR Studio Indie Game Contest, held by Bandai Namco Studios’ indie game label, “GYAAR Studio,” for indie game creators outside the company.

GYAAR Studio was founded in 2021 as an indie game label meant to help foster ace game creators for Bandai Namco Studios’ major global titles by allowing young talent to directly and freely express their creative ideas. This contest will be held to allow an even wider pool of creative talent, one not limited to company employees, to take a turn at bat and have the chance to receive proactive support for their creations. By allowing a variety of games to shine brighter than ever with the proper support, the hope is to further stimulate the video game market.

This contest will select (at most) one Platinum Award winner and seven other prize winners from a pool of game entries, including those in-development, and award a total of up to 100 million JPY in support funding. In addition to the prize funding, game developer Bandai Namco Studios will also offer direct development support, as well as a support program which includes access to the “GYAAR Studio Base” game development center within the Bandai Namco Studios office, publishing support, and IP co-creation support. The Bandai Namco Group aims to make use of its strengths and years of acquired know-how to provide creators with a wide-range of full-fledged support!

My Time at Sandrock – A Delightful New Adventure  

Following early access opportunities this spring, Pathea Games is pleased to announce a new update for My Time at Sandrock on 24th November 2022 and 20% OFF during Steam Autumn Sales

My Time at Sandrock takes place in a wholesome post-apocalyptic world 300 years after the Day of Calamity destroyed most modern technologies. Players can travel to the desert community of Sandrock and take on the role of a fledgling builder and using their trusty toolset to gather resources, construct machines, players can transform their run-down workshop into a well-oiled production facility to save the town from the jaws of economic ruin!

Marvel’s Midnight Suns Prequel Short #4 – The Daywalker – Available to Watch Now

2K and Marvel Entertainment debuted the fourth Prequel Short for Marvel’s Midnight Suns today via the Marvel Entertainment YouTube channel. Titled “The Daywalker,” this Prequel Short showcases the recruitment of Blade, a half-human half-vampire hybrid with a penchant for the sword.

For “The Daywalker,” 2K and Marvel Entertainment worked with UK-based artist Doaly to celebrate the release of this Prequel Short.

Marvel’s Midnight Suns Prequel Shorts is being animated by the talented teams at Sun Creature Studio and DIGIC Pictures; each video is currently scheduled to be released weekly.

Marvel’s Midnight Suns Prequel Shorts is a set of five short videos that provide backstory on how Lilith became the Mother of Demons, and how Super Heroes like Blade, Magik, Ghost Rider and Nico Minoru came together to form the young core of the Midnight Suns. 

Marvel’s Midnight Suns is available for pre-orders today and will release globally on December 2 on Windows PC, Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5*.

Gdynia, 22 November 2022: Dark Envoy is a love letter to classic tactical RPGs with a modern approach to combat. The newly released gameplay trailer recalls the studio’s legendary genre inspirations, showcases battle tactics, skill variety, and introduces the dark force that all players must face in this tale of destiny, set in a conflict-torn Guns N’ Sorcery world. The game is being developed and will be published by Event Horizon, the creators of an independent RPG gem, Tower of Time.

In Dark Envoy, you control a party of relic hunters wandering across the land of Jäan with their companions. The game combines a skill-based combat system built on classes and specializations with diverse tactical options of approaching your battles. You can complete the full story as a single player campaign, or enjoy it with a friend in a fully-fledged online co-op mode.  

Game features: 

• Three modes of approaching battles: real-time, pause or slow time.
• Four classes and over a dozen specializations.

THE KING OF FIGHTERS ALLSTAR LAUNCHES NEW GAME UPDATE FEATURING XV PLAYABLE FIGHTERS NAKORURU AND HAOHMARU

LOS ANGELES – November 22, 2022 – Netmarble, a leading developer and publisher of high-quality mobile games, released a new update for their popular mobile action role-playing game THE KING OF FIGHTERS ALLSTAR. Today, players can enjoy new characters, battle cards and in-game events.

The latest game update adds XV Nakoruru (Balance Type) as a playable fighter, who possesses a Leader Skill that increases ATK power of Blue element fighters at a certain level. When an Active Skill is used, the Finisher Skill cooldown is reduced and grants Symbol to enemies with physical DMG. Players can also add XV Haohmaru (Balance Type) to their playable roster. He has a Leader Skill that increases extreme fighters’ Active Skill DMG and Finisher Skill to a certain level. XV Haohmaru is immune to Stun and Freeze that will allow him to preserve any DMG received and recovers when an Active Skill lands.

New battle cards are now available. Once a special card is equipped to an exclusive fighter, XV Nakoruru can reset her  cooldown time for Finisher Skills while XV Haohmaru can increase DMG upon usage.

To commemorate this game update, players can participate in new in-game events and obtain special rewards including:

• Login Bonus Event: When players login, they will have the opportunity to acquire the Rare Enhancement Hammer, Team Samurai Badge Fragment and Haohmaru Commemorative Gift Fragment.
• Rush Dungeon: Players can receive the Nakoruru Dice and Fighter Power Up Items by clearing a round set in each stage.
• Challenge Dungeon: If players acquire one of the new fighters they can enter the dungeon and various rewards will be available upon clearing each stage.
• Mini Game: Players can roll the dice and acquire various rewards including Rubies and the Enhancement Hammer.
