Road to Early Access and full PC & console launch for adventure inspired by Animal Crossing and Stardew begins today
Oslo, Norway – June 17th, 2022 – Independent developer Snowcastle Games today launched the two-week Open Beta on Steam for Ikonei Island: An Earthlock Adventure, the upcoming adventure about crafting, thwarting pirates and befriending animals. Ikonei Island: An Earthlock Adventure, is coming to Steam Early Access later this Summer. Details about the Early Access release date and the roadmap towards a full PC, Nintendo Switch, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One release will be revealed in the near future.
Taking inspiration from titles like Animal Crossing and Stardew Valley, Ikonei Island: An Earthlock Adventure adds to compelling exploration, resource gathering, crafting and customisation systems with a host of fun gameplay ideas that give this colourful title its own twist. Befriending local wildlife and using their unique abilities to help you access new areas of the island offers a compelling exploration mechanic unlike anything you’ve seen in the genre before. Expect to encounter perilous pirate camps and battle monsters as you uncover Ikonei Island’s secrets. Perhaps most importantly, look forward to doing all this with your friends! Multiplayer is one of the key features that Snowcastle will add to the game as it builds out the title’s features during Early Access.
Set in the universe of the Earthlock RPGs, Ikonei Island: An Earthlock Adventure takes the rich world-building and magical setting of the franchise into new territory. As you explore a diverse and intriguing landscape with secrets waiting to be uncovered, you will discover ancient ruins from a bygone civilization and unlock a host of different biomes, ranging from icy mountains and parched deserts, to dense jungles and humid swamps.
Alongside the game’s satisfying crafting systems, farming, combat and everything else Ikonei Island has to offer, players will have the opportunity to make the island their own. An upgradable hamlet serves as a base of operations and unique placeable items allow you to customise the island to your liking. That extends to your home, which can be decorated to your own tastes!
More details on the roadmap for Ikonei Island’s Early Access journey will be shared soon, along with the Early Access release date, but Snowcastle invites players to start offering their feedback now on the Snowcastle Discord. The community will be vital in shaping the tweaks and additions made to the game during its time on Early Access, so Snowcastle are eager for players to get involved in the process and tell them what they think!
“We are thrilled to launch the open beta of Ikonei Island to players via a Steam Playtest today for two weeks”, said Bendik Stang, Game Director & Co-founder of Snowcastle Games. “The open beta will give players a first look at what we have created so far – dancing pirates, mystical shrines and curious creatures all form part of the adventure. We can’t wait to gather community feedback that will help shape Ikonei Island as we move into Steam Early Access”.

London, UK – 17 June 2022 – Marvelous Europe today released the second pack of the DLC double feature for their genre-blending zombie title DEADCRAFT, “Jessie’s Wasteland Wares”.
Following the release of “It Came From the Junkyard” on June 2nd, both DLC packs are available now digitally on Windows PC via Steam, PlayStation®4, PlayStation®5, the Nintendo Switch™ system and supported through Smart Delivery on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, for £6.49/€7.99 individually, or as part of the DEADCRAFT Deluxe Edition including the base game, an exclusive in-game costume and items, and both DLCs for £29.99/€39.99.
Inspired by the additional stories often included at the end of manga, “It Came From the Junkyard” introduces a new post-game storyline as the King of the Dead, Revenant, and his zombie army plan to invade the Ark. To defend humanity from this new existential threat, Reid will need to team up with his friends and venture deep into the Junkyard using his zombie powers, wits, and arsenal of crafted weapons. Help Reid save humanity from Revenant and stop the undead from claiming the last remnants of humanity! Scavenge! Slay! Sell! Get a new perspective on the post-apocalyptic wasteland by setting up shop and stepping into the shoes of the eccentric Jessie, the Ark’s resident nurse. Ever devoted to her beloved lady Duna, Jessie will leap into action pigtails-first to get whatever Duna needs. She’ll slay enemies and scavenge for materials to craft and sell to the consumers of the Ark, all in the name of raising money for Miss Duna. Fend off thieves, negotiate sales with picky customers, and make sure to restock the store with key items that only Jessie can craft. So cinch up her apron, holster up her trusty shotgun, and whatever you do…don’t disappoint Duna!
DEADCRAFT is the newest deadly and daring game from Marvelous’ First Studio, creators of DAEMON X MACHINA. As if a hail of meteors reducing earth to a barren wasteland wasn’t bad enough, the devastation released a mysterious virus that resurrected the dead. Ravaged by fire from the sky and the dead below, only a fraction of the human population remains, largely clustered into small outposts where power-hungry opportunists capitalize on the chaos. A rare survivor of exposure to the virus, part-zombie Reid is captured by the twisted Nebron, leader of the Ark. After escaping from the torture table into the surrounding wasteland, Reid is determined to return to the city and exact some apocalyptic justice. Stare in wild wonder as the half-human, half-zombie protagonist Reid slices through foes on a quest for righteous vengeance! Wield his inhuman zombie powers to fend off enemies while searching the wasteland for answers to what happened to the only man he could trust. Build fantastical new armaments, conjure curious concoctions, or even grow and harvest zombie soldiers to stand by Reid’s side against whatever the apocalypse throws at him. It’s a dangerous world, and in order to stay alive Reid must take full advantage of the dead!
KEY FEATURES
• Farm the Dead to Stay Alive ‒ Plant fresh corpses (or just a combination of limbs) into the ground and give them a little TLC until they sprout into an undead army of infantry, sentries, and more!
• Creeptastic Crafting ‒ Surviving the apocalypse sometimes means using whatever scraps one can find to make new weapons. Other times it means enlisting a loyal undead to assist in building and running an entire factory of grotesque machinery churning out an unholy amalgamation of survival items.
• Death-Defying Powers of the Undead ‒ Reid’s zombie side gives him a powerful advantage in a fight, allowing him to shield himself from danger or swat enemies away like annoying gnats. But as each devoured enemy pushes him closer to his zombie side, he’ll have to take care to maintain what little humanity he has left.
• Become a Savior…or a Scourge ‒ Help out other survivors to learn new recipes or abilities. But if Reid’s hard up for money or supplies, shake down a local and take it off them…as long as he doesn’t mind potentially becoming a wanted man.
Developed by Marvelous First Studio and published in Europe and Australia by Marvelous Europe, DEADCRAFT will launch worldwide on Windows PC via Steam, PlayStation®4, PlayStation®5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and the Nintendo Switch™ on May 19. The game has been rated PEGI 18.

Beijing, China, June 17, 2022 – Publisher Thermite Games and Developer Melancholia Studio have revealed that they released a steam demo for Corpse Keeper, their gothic roguelike fighting RPG mash-up, as part of the Steam Next Fest. A crowdfunding campaign also kicked off today and will last a whole month until July 16th (GMT).

You can check out Corpse Keeper new trailer here:
In Corpse Keeper, you play as an unconventional protagonist, a demon’s servant who somehow decided to plot against him. You managed to trap the demon in the grand cathedral but only have limited time and resources to build an army of the enemies’ flesh and bones to engage in duels against the opponents, collect heroes’ souls and defeat the demon eventually.
More than 40 playable characters with well-designed vigorous attack actions, a variety of equipment and collectable items, as well as plenty of possible ability combinations grant you great freedom when creating your own builds. But please keep in mind that your undead army will gradually decay as you take them to explore the dungeons. In order to lead the team forward, you will have to adapt to changes and achieve dynamic balance.

Lesquin, France, June 16, 2022 – Scheduled for release on 8 September 2022 on PC, PlayStation®5 and Xbox Series X|S, digital editions of Steelrising are now available for preorder. Players who preorder will get a “Marie-Antoinette” alternative appearance pack for Aegis and exclusive access to the beta, which starts on 25 August 2022.
The Bastille Edition, which releases 8 September and is also available for preorder, includes the DLC Cagliostro’s Secrets, which is scheduled for early November. This chilling quest will take you to a whole new area that harbours secrets hidden by the king. On this dark adventure, you will encounter new enemies and unlock new weapons and costumes. Your ultimate goal is to uncover the secret behind the alchemy that powers the automatons of Louis XVI.
1789 is the year of the Storming of the Bastille and the start of the monarchy’s downfall. Steelrising depicts an alternative version of history: what if King Louis XVI, who loved clockmaking, had built an army of robots capable of quelling the insurrection? Powerful and cruel, this army spares no one and violently punishes rebels. Paris is burning and bleeding. Men, women and children are being systematically massacred.
Aegis, an automaton created as a dancer for the pleasure of the Court, is now a warrior and Marie-Antoinette’s bodyguard. The Queen has tasked Aegis with cutting a path through Paris where the machines are sowing terror. Each fight with these mechanical enemies is a challenge where the player’s skills are severely tested. Such is the price to pay for those who want to change the course of history.
Steelrising will be available on the 8th September 2022 on PC PlayStation®5, and Xbox Series X|S.
