Sony Interactive Entertainment has today unveiled the new DualSense Edge wireless controller for Playstation 5, the first-ever high-performance, ultra-customisable controller of its kind.
Designed to allow players to create custom controls tailored to their playstyle, the DualSense Edge wireless controller features a number of hardware and software-based customisation options:
Ultra-customisable controls: Players can remap or deactivate specific button inputs, adjust stick sensitivity, travel distance and dead zones. For example, players can reduce travel distance for faster inputs in competitive FPS games or reduce the dead zone for precise throttle control in racing games.
Ability to save multiple control profiles: Players can save their ideal control settings to unique profiles and swap between on the fly. No more scrolling through huge settings menus between games!
On-controller user interface: The dedicated Fn button allows players to adjust their setup in-game; swap between pre-set control profiles, adjust game volume and chat balance, and access the entire controller profile settings while in game.
Changeable stick caps and back buttons: Three types of swappable stick caps (standard, high dome, and low dome) help players find the right level of comfort, grip and stability. Two swappable sets of back buttons (half-dome and lever), can be configured to any other button input.
Replaceable stick modules: Each individual stick module can be replaced, increasing controller longevity (sticks sold separately).
Built-in DualSense wireless controller features: Tying all the new features together is the signature comfort and immersive experience of the DualSense wireless controller when played supported games, with haptic feedback, adaptive triggers, built-in microphone, motion controls, and more.
The DualSense Edge wireless controller comes with a USB Type-C braided cable which features connector housing to lock into the controller, making it much less likely to slip out at a crucial moment (we’ve all been there!). It also comes with a carrying case, keeping all the components together and organised while also allowing players to charge the controller while stored in the case.
Daisuke Kurihara, Art Director, led the controller’s design process and shares a few insights on how it was created:
“The opportunity to create the DualSense Edge wireless controller was a dream come true for our team. We wanted to build on the legacy of iconic PlayStation controllers by creating a controller that empowers players to experiment and personalise elements based on their own unique playstyle – whether they are a competitive gamer or someone who just enjoys having more options to customise their play. The DualSense Edge wireless controller also features a number of thoughtful design touches that we hope players will enjoy, including a distinct DualSense controller-inspired black-and-white colour scheme and a unique PlayStation Shapes pattern on the touchpad and trigger surfaces.
“We are thankful to the many gamers, professional esports players, and developers who helped provide feedback on the controller’s design.”

The title – which has been in development for some time – is scheduled to release in early 2023 on PC, Gen 8 and Gen 9 consoles
The Plot A colossal and enigmatic alien structure appears in Earth’s orbit and stuns the entire world; humanity names it ‘The Metahedron’. The Sentient Contact Assessment and Response team (SCAR) – consisting of scientists and engineers – is sent to investigate.

EMBARK ON A RESEARCH JOURNEY Kate is a scientist to her core and you’ll use that scientific expertise to extract information from your surroundings by scanning artifacts, materials and creatures in order to learn about their features, properties and weaknesses. As you explore your surroundings, you will conduct analysis and gain knowledge which will allow you to craft new gadgets, weapons and unlock abilities in Xenobiology and Engineering trees.

GOAT SIMULATOR 3 REVEALS FIRST GAMEPLAY TRAILER AT GAMESCOM OPENING NIGHT LIVE
Sydney, Australia – August 24th, 2022 — Today, Coffee Stain North, Coffee Stain Publishing and PLAION gave the world its very first look at Goat Simulator 3’s gameplay during Gamescom’s Opening Night Live. Get ready for shear multiplayer madness as Pilgor and her friends descend on the island of San Angora to show off their new tricks – from reckless tractor driving to getting their ‘om’ on with a spot of goat yoga.
Watch the brand new trailer right
Goat Simulator 3 is a complex and serious(ly stupid) new sandbox adventure in which four players can jump in and cause complete havoc together. But don’t fret, we got you single goats covered as well! You can unearth all of the island’s secrets alone, no friends required.
Much like the original Goat Simulator, the sequel’s gameplay revolves around exploration, puzzle solving and “accidentally” destroying anything in sight – but this time there is so much more of it all. Blast NPCs with alien weapons, start wacky minigames anywhere in the sandbox (keep reading), become a “rhino” and stampede through town (sentence is soon over), join a secret goat society and help them achieve their goals, (hold that breath) drive a car straight into a gas station (what’s up with goats and gas stations anyway?), and so much more! The world truly is your oyster* (puh, you made it!).
But everyone knows you can’t destroy the world if you don’t look good. In Goat Simulator 3, there are so many fashionable items to get your hooves on. If you want to roam around wearing a pink tutu, a giant blonde wig and with paint tins for shoes, who are we to stop you? It differentiates you from that one friend who’s dressed like a medieval knight shooting lasers from their eyes, and the other that’s cosplaying a giant abominable banana (aka Abominana), after all.
Around San Angora there are seven multiplayer mini-games for players to discover. Once unlocked, they can be seamlessly started anywhere across the entire map for an extra challenge or somewhere hideously inopportune just for giggles.
King of the Hill
Stay inside the castle to gain crowns. The player with the most crowns wins!
The Floor is Lava
Don’t touch the lava! Use your parkour skills and climb as high as possible to escape the rising lava. Last one alive wins!
Car Derby
Drive into the rear of the other players vehicles to explode their bombs! Last player alive wins!
Prop Hunt
Classic hide and seek. If you are the seeker, find the other players by headbutting stuff. To hide, lick your desired prop. Move around when hiding to gain extra points.
Headsplat
Use your headbutt to paint the world! You get a point for each painted thing.
Hoofball
Get the ball in your goal to score points. The player with the most points wins, like usual.
Prop Golf
Get your prop to the flag ASAP! First player to reach the flag wins!
Santiago Ferrero, Creative Director at Coffee Stain North said: “If you’ve watched the gameplay trailer and still want to play Goat Simulator 3, to each their own! It’s not long now until we can finally get the game in your hands. We can’t wait, and neither can Pilgor for November 17th. We are just a little bit worried that we might have given you guys too many powerful tools to destroy the island, its inhabitants and the game in general. But it’s too late to do anything about it now.”
Goat Simulator 3 is set to release on November 17th on PC exclusively via the Epic Games Store, as well as PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. Pre-orders are available now both digitally and physically at most retail stores.
Pre-purchase the game now on the Epic Games Store here, the PlayStation store here and the Xbox store here.
*The world is in fact an island, not an oyster. There are no oysters in Goat Simulator 3 – though there could be, if enough people wanted them.
About Goat Simulator
Goat Simulator 3 is a direct sequel to Goat Simulator, a silly game that started life as an April Fool’s joke born out of a game jam. In 2014, Goat Simulator became a true goat simulation sensation, selling millions of units across consoles and PC, as well as ‘earning’ ports to Nintendo Switch, iOS, Android, and most-recently Apple Arcade.
Goat Simulator 3 builds on everything fans of the first game loved, raising the baa to brand new heights (sometimes literally). Goat Simulator 3 is coming to PC exclusively on the Epic Games Store, as well as Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 on 17th November 2022.
