Dont Nod new narrative experience – Harmony the fall of reverie – Teaser trailer

DON’T NOD announces Harmony: The Fall of Reverie, due for release in June 2023 on Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S

Paris, February 8, 2023 – DON’T NOD, French independent video games developer and publisher, is very proud to present Harmony: The Fall of Reverie, a unique narrative experience. The game was unveiled today during The Nintendo Direct. Harmony: The Fall of Reverie will be available on Nintendo Switch, PC (Steam), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S in June 2023.

Harmony: The Fall of Reverie is a new narrative game from DON’T NOD. Players will be able to see into the future and make the best decisions for them as they try to restore balance between our world and Reverie, the world of the deities. Players will get to know a cast of loveable characters in this captivating story and universe rich in lore. The game is colorful, vibrant, and futuristic, with an original soundtrack by award-winning composer, Lena Raine.

The reveal teaser is available to watch here

In the very near future… MK, a mega corporation, is using its power to control the population of the Mediterranean city of Alma. Polly returns home to search for her missing mother after a few years abroad and soon discovers that her hometown has changed for the worse.

She quickly realizes that she has a gift of clairvoyance that connects her to another world, Reverie, where the Aspirations of Humanity live: Glory, Bliss, Power, Chaos, Bond, and Truth. In Reverie, Polly becomes Harmony, a goddess who has the power to choose the Aspiration that will ultimately rule. There is a delicate balance between our world and Reverie that grows more precarious. It is up to you, as Harmony and Polly, to restore the balance between the Aspirations’ world and ours.
Humanity is at stake. To which destiny do you aspire?

A unique narrative mechanic
Each action players take, as Polly or Harmony, will affect both worlds and open up different narrative paths. Players can see into the future with the Augural, a game board and visual representation of Polly’s gift of foresight. There they can explore the outcomes of possible choices, giving them visibility and agency to decide the fate of humanity. This unique narrative mechanic also gives the game a high replayability factor.

“We are excited to reveal Harmony: The Fall of Reverie at the Nintendo Direct. It is a unique game in its narration with an incredible art direction. We hope players will find this experience stunning and refreshing and that the unique narrative will connect deeply with them. We can’t wait to show more soon.”

Highly Anticipated Turn-Based RPG Sea of Stars Equips August Release Date as First Playable Demo Drops Today on Nintendo eShop

Play the next ambitious outing from the team behind 2018’s award-winning The Messenger ahead of Sea of Stars’ full release this summer

QUEBEC CITY (Feb. 8, 2023) – Developer Sabotage Studio today announced that Sea of Stars, the turn-based RPG inspired by the golden age of 90s role-playing classics, will draw adventurers into its whimsical quest Aug. 29 on PC, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation consoles. Sabotage Studio unveiled the launch date while releasing Sea of Stars’ playable debut demo on the Nintendo eShop as part of today’s Nintendo Direct, offering fans their first chance to dive into the game’s enthralling world.

The demo’s dense slice of early-game content showcases Sea of Stars‘ main systems and mechanics, introducing key characters and the adventure’s tone in a spoiler free, close-to-final vision look at the game featuring pirates, puzzles and exploration. Download the demo today: https://www.nintendo.com/store/products/sea-of-stars-switch/

Also debuting today is a close look at stunning new gameplay touring Sea of Stars’ gorgeously realized universe. The footage spotlights Sabotage Studio’s comprehensive revitalization of the genre’s classic strengths, offering a modernized, distinctive take on classic RPG exploration, combat and storytelling. Watch the release date trailer here:

Sea of Stars follows the story of two Children of the Solstice, joining players with youths Valere and Zale as they face their fated duty of becoming Solstice Warriors. By joining their Sun and Moon powers to cast powerful Eclipse Magic, this duo wields the lone power capable of fighting the monstrous creations of the evil alchemist known as The Fleshmancer. Set to a stunning soundtrack including original works by legendary composer Yasunori Mitsuda (Chrono Trigger) who joins Sabotage Studio’s composer Eric W. Brown, Sea of Stars is poised as one of the year’s absolute must-play games.

Sea of Stars features:

  • Active Turn-Based Combat: Pressing the action button in sync with battle animations strengthens a hero’s attacks and reduces incoming damage during defense. Along with interactive timed attacks, combat features boosting and a strategic “locks” system, providing options for leveraging different damage types in order to hinder enemies while they are preparing powerful attacks or spells, all in an immersive take on the RPG genre; no random encounters, transitions to separate battlefields, or grinding.
  • Unshackled Traversal: Swim, climb, vault, jump off or scale ledges as you traverse seamlessly through the world with a navigation system based on platformer expertise that breaks free from classic, bound-to-the-ground tileset movement.
  • A Story Rich Adventure: Meet dozens of original characters and progress memorable story arcs throughout a captivating journey. Sometimes epic, sometimes silly, and other times emotional, Sea of Stars explores classic themes of adventure and friendship with heart, while also being chock-full of the unexpected twists and events you’d expect from a Sabotage Studio production.
  • All Fun, No Tedium: Enjoy experimenting in combat without fear of hitting a wall requiring grinding or farming for unique items; in Sea of Stars, defeat calls for a change in battle plans, not hours of repetition to better the odds in a rematch.
  • A World You Can Touch: There are many ways to hang out in the world of Sea of Stars if you feel inclined to change the pace during your adventures. Sailing, cooking, fishing, stopping by a tavern to listen to a song, or playing the beloved tabletop game known as “Wheels” … every system has been designed to deliver an experience that pays tribute to retro classics, while rethinking conventional elements to offer a smooth and refreshingly modernized experience.
  • Radiant Lighting: Dynamic lighting effects pair with a world-influencing day/night cycle to make every area feel truly alive, pushing the traditional visual limits of classically stylized 2D pixel art games – the only way to properly tell the story of heroes conjuring the powers of the Sun and the Moon.
