First Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin gameplay trailer showcases thrilling RTS action as open beta dates are confirmed

The Stormcast Eternals and Orruk Kruleboyz clash in this first footage of the real-time strategy game based on Games Workshop’s fantasy universe.

Cambridge, UK – 11th June 2023 Frontier Developments plc (AIM: FDEV, ‘Frontier’) revealed today the exciting first gameplay trailer for Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin, a major real-time strategy game coming soon to PlayStation® 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, in partnership with Games Workshop. Featuring both a cinematic singleplayer campaign and 1v1 and 2v2 competitive cross-platform multiplayer, Realms of Ruin is designed for both genre veterans and newcomers. Players will soon have an early opportunity to sample 1v1 online multiplayer for themselves, with an open beta taking place across all platforms on 7th-10th July including both the Stormcast Eternals and Orruk Kruleboyz as playable factions. A second open beta will follow later this summer.

In Realms of Ruin’s multiplayer matches, the goal is to control more Victory Points than the opponent, draining their score down to zero in quickfire and exciting games. Players will fight across multiple fronts as they capture Arcane Conduits around the map and strengthen their armies by building Bastions in these locations, accumulating more resources as they push towards the annihilation of their enemies. Unlocking additional tiers of the tech tree enables each faction to unleash their deadliest and most visually spectacular squads, resulting in a furious, ever-changing tug-of-war to control the map. Players who want to experience this for themselves can sign up to learn more about the open betas at www.aosrealmsofruin.com.

Each faction in the game has different strengths and weaknesses that evolve over the course of a battle. The Stormcast Eternals are a resilient force of celestial champions, possessing tools capable of dismantling any foe. Their basic squads include hammer-wielding Liberators and crossbow-carrying Vanguard Raptors, while more advanced combatants include winged Prosecutors who rain celestial hammers down from the sky – not to mention the fearsome Stormdrake Guard, capable of breathing draconic fire down onto the battlefield. The more numerous and cunning Orruk Kruleboyz, meanwhile, field Gutrippaz melee squads and ranged Man-Skewer Boltboyz, with malicious skirmishers like grenade-throwing Hobgrot Slittaz entering the fray as they overwhelm their enemy in a sea of green. As the Kruleboyz grow in force, they bring violent monsters like the Marshcrawla Sloggoth and Mirebrute Troggoth to the frontlines to secure victory.

The gameplay trailer depicts these two factions clashing violently for control of Ghur, the Bestial Realm, showcasing the high-end character models and animations that players can look forward to in this authentic vision of the Warhammer Age of Sigmar universe. In Realms of Ruin, players control one of four Age of Sigmar factions in real-time battles, with all the squads, heroes, monsters and machines on the battlefield inspired by their tabletop counterparts.

Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin has been developed simultaneously for both console and PC. Players using a controller will experience DirectStep™, an innovative and intuitive new real-time strategy interface, while PC players can also enjoy a traditional mouse and keyboard RTS control scheme.

Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin is coming soon to PlayStation® 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, and is available to wishlist now.

LORDS OF THE FALLEN SHOWCASES TWO EQUALLY-HORRIFIC WORLDS IN NEW GAMEPLAY VIDEO

LONDON, (June 12th, 2023) – HEXWORKS, a CI Games studio, are granting fans their closest look yet at the vast and treacherous worlds of its upcoming, dark-fantasy action-RPG, Lords of the Fallen, with a spectacular new gameplay showcase video. Built in Unreal Engine 5, the highly anticipated title launches Friday 13th October, and is available to pre-order now on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Focusing on one of the title’s most anticipated mechanics, the feature provides all-new details, alongside never-before-seen gameplay, on how the dual worlds of Lords of the Fallen function. Players will need to explore not one, but two expansive environments when adventuring through the savage lands of Mournstead; Axiom, the realm of the living, and Umbral, the realm of the dead.

Coexisting like two sides of the same coin, these parallel worlds each feature their own unique pathways, enemies, characters, and, of course, treasures. And while it is often down to the player which realm they journey through, they will regularly need to switch from one to the other in order to progress.

In addition, the video also provided brand new details on three of its numerous brutal bosses, as well as shedding new light on an integral gameplay ability – the soul flay – which not only allows players to interact with the soul of their enemy, but also manipulate elements of the environment for some puzzle-based exploration.

Saul Gascon, HEXWORKS’ Head of Studio said: “By enabling players to use the Umbral Lamp and switch between two distinct parallel worlds at will, we have been able to introduce entirely new levels of immersion to the action-RPG genre. We believe that this addition brings a refreshing, albeit often eerie, twist to its well-established mechanics, such as a revitalised death run, double-layered environmental storytelling, and, of course, a tactical impact in combat. We are eagerly anticipating how players will face this all-new challenge when it arrives this October!”

Prepare to ‘unleash the darkness’ on Friday 13th October, when Lords of the Fallen launches on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

All’s well at Endswell Medical: corrupt pharmaceuticals management game Undead Inc. announced!

The debut title from Rightsized Games invites players to start their own Endswell Medical franchise, where everything is above board, ethical, and 100% safe. Always.

Sunday 11th June 2023 – Team17 Digital and Rightsized Games have announced roguelike resource management game Undead Inc. at today’s PC Gaming Show. Coming to PC, Undead Inc. welcomes players to step into the role of managing director of their very own Endswell Medical franchise. Already an established successful and lucrative pharmaceuticals company, players will have to grow the business, keep the money flowing, meet the targets set by an increasingly hungry board of directors … and keep the bodies buried by absolutely any means necessary.

Running a successful corporation requires sacrifice, but as all good CEOs and MDs know, the sacrifice needn’t be their own. As the public-facing arm of Endswell Medical keeps things running above ground (and above board) its nefarious underbelly is where the real transformative and lucrative magic happens. Players will research and develop bioweapons, questionable pharmaceuticals, and dangerous technology for sale to the highest bidder, all while keeping any … situations … literally and figuratively behind closed doors.

Of course, eventually the truth will out, and to continue Endswell Medical’s ambitious growth strategy players will have to uproot their operation, grab armfuls of money, equipment, and other unmentionables on the way out – enough to establish a brand-new corporation in the next town over – and start the cycle anew.

Undead Inc. Key Features

  • Research above all: The money won’t make itself, and the most lucrative adventures require a less than ethical path: Deadly bioweapons, questionable pharmaceuticals, illegal technology – nothing is off the table
  • All about the base: Choose from several different biomes to build a base of operations, each with its own opportunities and challenges
  • The end comes for us all: Eventually, the directors’ crimes will catch up with them, so prepare to flee with as much cash, drugs, and research to fund the next Big Pharma in the next town over
  • Management is key to success: Hiring the cheapest labour might sound like a good fit, but ultimately, loose lips sink ships – the right person in the right position can spell the difference between success and a bioweapon on the loose
  • The Director will see you now: Being at the top is tough, and choosing the right director to stand at the helm of the newest Endswell Medical franchise is imperative to success, each on boasts their own special abilities, buffs, back stories, and scenarios … Choose wisely.

For more information on Undead Inc. please like us on Facebook, and follow us on Twitter and Instagram.
