Sword of Convallaria was recently spotlighted by JRPG veteran Yasumi Matsuno, best known for directing and producing all-time classics such as Final Fantasy Tactics and Ogre Tactics. 

In an interview between Matsuno and Lei Guo, the developer of Sword of Convallaria, Guo shared some fascinating insights about the upcoming game. Born out of his love for the genre and retro-style pixel art, Sword of Convallaria already features 300 maps and 1,000 stages with multiple endings for players to unlock, based on the choices you make. Guo’s inspirations go far beyond his favourite video games, with elements of the story echoing dramatic moments in history. Hamburg, Germany, August 17th, 2023 – Polaris Convention has ambitious plans: In addition to the exciting three day-program and a fully playable convention, there will be an official world record attempt at the event in collaboration with TikTok as a sponsor. It is planned to assemble the most video game cosplayers in one place ever.

To break the current world record, established 2013 in Finland, more than 492 people in video game costumes have to hang out in the same spot for five minutes. A lofty goal, but not impossible to reach for the con’s gaming and cosplay-loving visitors! It doesn’t matter if the cosplay is hand-made or store-bought.

The official world record attempt is scheduled for Sunday, October 15th, 2023; potential participants can register now via Eventbrite. All participating cosplayers will receive an exclusive shirt as well as a certification of participation to remember the occasion. 

“Cosplay and gaming were already two of the big highlights of last year’s Polaris Con. Combining the two this year, for this world record attempt, is a great opportunity that we have worked on with our partner TikTok for months already”, says Wolf Lang, CEO of Super Crowd. “We are looking forward to many registrations, in order for the world record attempt to become an unforgettable experience for all participants.”

I’m afraid I’ve got some good news. Today, 2K announced the Bad News U Pack, the fifth and final DLC* for WWE® 2K23, the highest-rated game in franchise history according to Metacritic**, is available now. The pack is headlined by five-time Intercontinental Champion, former King of the Ring and current Raw commentator Wade Barrett, alongside three-time WWE Divas Champion and 2007 Diva Search winner Eve Torres, making her first WWE 2K appearance in over a decade. Also appearing in the Bad News U Pack and making their WWE 2K franchise debuts are NXT standouts Andre Chase, Nathan Frazer and Damon Kemp. These Superstars bring 46 new moves and taunts into the game, which can also be used for custom Superstars in the creation suite. Each playable Superstar also comes with their own MyFACTION card, and DLC is available for individual purchase, or as part of Season Pass***, Deluxe Edition, and Icon Edition of WWE 2K23.

2K recently announced the inaugural WWE 2K23 Hall of Champions Invitational****. Eight WWE 2K NextMaker content creators put out a call to action to the community-at-large to find their tag team partner for a WWE 2K23 tournament. Community participants will be selected by submitting a promotional video on social media, to be judged by 2K and NextMakers based on criteria including originality, creativity, passion and skill demonstrated playing WWE 2K23. The event will span the metal madness across two franchises

As a final reward, a powerful “Death Ray Patch” will be granted, marking the conquerors of the seas with true metal prestige.

Additionally, two special bundles will also be available for ship commanders. Players who obtained“Megadeth: Set the Seas Afire” Bundle will also get ferocious “Rattlehead” cruiser ship inspired by the “Rust in Peace” album cover as a bonus.
