Symphony of War’s Legends DLC Continues the Saga, Enhances the Journey on PCs Today

Eight new chapters, thirteen additional character classes, New Game+

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – August 28, 2023 – Symphony of War: The Nephilim Saga, the pixel squad-based tactics RPG from developer Dancing Dragon Games and publisher Freedom Games, expands the battlefield with new stories, faces, and challenges with the Legends DLC on PCs via Steam today!

Discover what comes after the credits roll in Symphony of War with the Legends DLC, featuring eight new chapters wrapping up the stories of beloved characters as voted on by the Symphony of War community, including Antares, Barnabas, and Jaromir. Test the militaristic limits of 13 new unit classes like the curse-casting Dark Mage, ghastly Necromancer, and beastly War Cat.

Collect Memory Fragments after beating the main campaign to use as currency to bring previous units and items back onto the battlefield, steeled to capture glory for the squadron once more. Freshen up gameplay and keep battles interesting for war hungry captains looking for ripe opportunities to spill blood in New Game+ with a staggering amount of new gameplay options, including creating an entirely undead army, or maxing out units for incredible damage.

With the addition of necromancy, blur the lines between life and death and collect Unlife Energy with any damage dealt and all health points taken from enemies to cultivate a truly frightening team of undead soldiers. These Risen loyally – and mindlessly – await their next command. Try and try again to create the perfect campaign run, testing complex combinations and making moves until the enemy finally raises the white flag in devastated surrender.

“Step onto the fields of Tahnra once again and prepare for a trying journey inspired by our community in the form of the Legends DLC,” said Phil Hamilton, Co-Founder of Dancing Dragon Games, “Soldiers who enjoyed Symphony of War can test out new classes, fight harder bosses, and harness the powers of the living dead; only creativity defines the limits of battle!”

Symphony of War is available now on Steam, GOG, and the Epic Game Store in two editions: $19.99 for the standard edition and $34.97 for the Collector’s Edition including the soundtrack, artbook, and strategy guide. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles BlendJet 2 Portable Blender: Impressions

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles “Shredder’s Mind” BlendJet 2 Portable Blender

Price: $59.99 Buy Here

Overview

Can you believe that the turtles are preparing to turn 40? After four decades of entertainment galore, we have seen the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles stay on top of the mountain as of of the greatest squads in pop culture history. Pop culture is thankful for all of their contributions, and so are we – with a lot of collected merchandise donning the shelves of fans worldwide. BlendJet have released a totally radical design celebrating the foursome with their new BlendJet 2 portable blender. After sending us one to test out here at Capsule Computers, we are here to give our impressions on this product that may be the best thing since sliced pizza. Let’s take a look.

Visual Design

As you can see, this product is first and foremost designed featuring the “Shredder’s Mind” design, which features beautiful artwork from the 1987 animated series in a bold purple design. The official logo is printed right on the jar, with an iconic pizza on the top. Raphael, Michelangelo, Leonardo and Donatello all come on the blender itself, along with April, Splinter, and Shredder – who acts as the background image. Its a very clear and crisp design that fans are sure to appreciate. I think my biggest worry with the art was that it could be a sticker or cheaply pressed, but this paint is of high quality and should not peel or fade over time, which is actually pretty great considering how similar products with pop culture flare usually cut corners. This BlendJet 2 however is just as great of a display piece as it is a portable appliance, which looks fantastic in the kitchen, on a shelf, or on the go.

Quality

I honestly do not do a lot of blending, or even think much about appliances in general other than “I need a toaster” or “but I just bought that fridge in 2005!”. That said, I have owned some portable fare in the past, such as the Magic Bullet, and this product is far superior. Taking the blender out, it feels light but still has some weight to the jar and the blender itself, as the jar is thick and sturdy, and the base being a hard plastic that seems to also incorporate the same type of quality. The lid also is well made, as once secure, it holds tight and is super durable, even with a packed load in the unit. This means you can tip it in any direction, even while blending and not have to worry about spills or drips.

Performance

I honestly am bad at this. I am that person who uses products once or twice that have a gimmick and put them aside quickly, as they seem to be more trouble than they are worth when it comes to time consumption. I am being honest here by saying I have never had my entire grocery list change so quickly due to a product ever, as I am now buying frozen fruit, nuts, chocolate, and anything that sounds like an interesting experiment to see just how this product performs.

When I first tried the BlendJet, I put a cup of ice in, some fruit and yogurt, and instantly got a red light as the blender refused to cut up the ice. After pouring out my concoction temporarily, I added a liquid base of water and viola! Within twenty seconds my drink was ready, with everything blended to perfection. You see, it isn’t just about the blades, but the power the blades make with a liquid inside. As you blend, a strong cyclone of water mashes ingredients to the side, eventually pulling them to the blade until everything is smooth. The device detects when smooth, so there is little guess work involved as well, making this unit easy to use for any age. There are also safety features included where it will stop if the jar is loose for any reason, or the blender detects something that could burn out the motor that it just cannot crush (hence the ice).

On the website, I do know ice is advertised as something it can crush up, but I made around ten drinks in five days, and only two gave me issues (one involving ice and the other involving chocolate), which is pretty great considering how sensitive most other portable blenders can be. If you want a frozen smoothie, frozen fruit is by far more flavorful, and easier to blend for this particular unit. Clean up is equally as impressive. Twenty seconds with soap and water and that same power makes the class crystal clear, ready to use all over again. Yes, it is that fast and the non-stick jar makes this so convenient for multiple uses at a time with family or friends. It is also waterproof (even at the charger port), so getting it a bit wet is no issue whatsoever.

Final Thoughts

Its rare I can say that a simple product could change my perception of an entire sphere of devices, but the BlendJet did just that. I went in for the TMNT love, and ended up transforming my entire kitchen to simply compliment this product. The Blendjet 2 really is easy to use, clean, and use again, making it something that us that play games and itch for convenience will love and utilize for years to come. High in quality and practical, the BlendJet 2 may be one of the most radical products on the market today.

2K has announced the all-new badge system coming to NBA 2K24 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, allowing players to focus on their strengths and experiment with different builds to find success with their MyPLAYER.

NBA 2K24 is bringing new elements to the badge system for New Gen that helps players perfect their craft and dominate the positions they love to play. More details on the all-new badge system coming in NBA 2K24 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S outlined below:

  • More Balanced Badges. NBA 2K24 brings 24 new skill badges to the court, raising the total to 77 badges overall, across MyTEAM and MyCAREER, boasting enhanced flexibility and balance to the game. This year includes new badges for Scoring, Ball-Handling/Passing and Defense to help players build on their strengths and create a MyPLAYER all their own.
  • New MyPLAYER Builder Experience. The MyPLAYER builder experience has received some major upgrades. NBA 2K24 will introduce customisable NBA Player Templates along with a new attribute builder page, additional badge tier rankings, archetype improvements that help to prevent meta builds, and more.

NEW HERO IRIS AND GAMEPLAY REVEALED FOR TORCHLIGHT: INFINITE “CITY OF AETERNA”

Dungeon-crawling RPG’s latest season is bursting with new content, mechanics, and improvements.

XD Games, Shanghai — August 26, 2023 | Arriving on September 7th, Torchlight: Infinite’s new season “The City of Aeterna” debuts an exciting new chapter for the cross-platform RPG. Rebuild a lost city, challenge the new season boss, and say hello to Torchlight’s ethereal hero, Iris, as well as new skills, legendary gear, Pactspirits, and much more! You can watch an in-depth overview of the new season here.

New content: The City of Aeterna

Delve into the Ruins of Aeterna, undertake timed challenges, and rekindle candelabra to obtain Marks of Ruin. These Marks activate various reward spots scattered across the world map – join the dots and cover as much of the map as possible to maximise reward drops. Only when the map is complete will you be able to enter the fabled City of Aeterna to claim your prizes.

As you explore the city you will come across a new type of item, Soul Candles. Equip these in your Hunter’s Skill panel to unlock a range of powerful affixes that then be upgraded, evolved, and mutated by spending Tears of Aeterna dropped by monsters. Offering more ways than ever to customise your loadout, experiment with Soul Candles combinations and test out mutations, but with great power comes the occasional side effect. You’ve been warned!

New season boss: The Lone King of Aeterna

Hunters’ efforts to rebuild the city won’t go unnoticed as a menacing new foe awaits deep within. The Lone King of Aeterna will attempt to slay any looking to usurp his domain. However, those who defeat him will claim lost treasures that have been hidden in Aeterna for thousands of years! The more rewards spots you are able to connect on the world map, the more difficult this battle will be, but with an increased chance of looting precious new gear.

New hero: The Forsaken Iris

The City of Aeterna not only introduces a new villain, but a new hero too. Iris is a Spirit Magus from another world, capable of summoning a ghostly brigade of Spirit Magi to fight by her side, buffing them with support spells as they take to the battlefield.

Spirit Magi act differently to other summoned minions found in Torchlight: Infinite. These dynamic sidekicks can hold their own in a fight and will level up alongside Iris thanks to their unique Growth mechanic. By unlocking Talents or equipping certain gear, you can help max out your Spirits, each of the 5 Growth tiers increasing their base attributes. You can unlock Iris by obtaining the City of Aeterna Season Pass which also launches on September 7, 2023.

New Hero Trait: Flame of Pleasure

This latest season will also introduce a new Hero Trait for one of Torchlight: Infinite’s original heroes, Gemma. Creating an entirely new playstyle to try out, Flame of Pleasure can be unlocked by spending Primocrysts or Hero Emblems in-game. This new Hero Trait allows Gemma to use Purgatory, a powerful skill that applies a fiery Brand to her enemies while dealing massive damage. Gemma can then unleash Death by Fire, baptising her foes in a flaming vortex and inflicting extra damage to those marked with a Brand.

These are just some of the new additions planned for Torchlight: Infinite when the City of Aeterna goes live next month. In addition, XD have also been working hard to improve the core game for new and veteran players. The upcoming season will introduce further changes to crafting, hero balancing, and the Trade House, while also improving performance optimization and making it easier to get your hands on legendary gear. XD continue to evolve Torchlight: Infinite based on the valuable feedback of its players, creating a better dungeon-crawling for everyone!

Baldur’s Gate III Announced for Xbox Series X in 2023

It looks like those who play on the Xbox Series X/S won’t have to wait until sometime next year to play Baldur’s Gate III as Larian Studios has announced that they now plan on releasing the title on the Xbox platform sometime this year. Previously, the company did not have a set release window for the title on Xbox despite the PlayStation 5 version arriving in a few weeks on September 6th and the PC version arriving earlier this month to critical acclaim but that is no longer the case.

The Xbox Series X version of the game will offer all of the same capabilities as what is found in the PlayStation 5 release of the game but those playing on the Xbox Series S will find themselves a bit more limited as the game will not support split-screen cooperative play, it will instead only support online multiplayer. Cross-save between the PC release and the Xbox versions will remain supported according to Larian Studios’ CEO Swen Vincke.
