Killing to the beat: Agent 47 has a new Elusive Target – The Drop, featuring superstar DJ and actor Dimitri Vegas, is available from Oct. 27 for a limited time only

Copenhagen, Denmark, 27^th October 2023 – IO Interactive, the independent video game developer and publisher behind, among others, the internationally acclaimed HITMAN franchise, the upcoming Project 007 – a James Bond origin story, and Project Fantasy, is happy to announce today the launch of their brand-new Elusive Target Mission, ‘The Drop’, in Hitman: World of Assassination.

In this new mission, available for free to all Hitman: World of Assassination owners, Agent 47 is tasked with eliminating Alexios Laskaridis, an international DJ-turned-drug lord, modelled on the appearance of world-renowned DJ Dimitri Vegas.

Until November 26^th, players will get to take part in this unique do-or-die contract. The mission will offer numerous ways to get Agent 47 to eliminate the threat posed by the double-faced musician during his set in a Berlin club.

Players are invited to replay the original Berlin mission from Hitman 3 before they tackle the Elusive Target Mission, as it served as a basis for the development of this newly themed mission. They will only ever get one shot at this mission, and if they want to increase their chances to eliminate Dimitri Vegas’ criminal mastermind alter ego, getting familiar with the lay of the land is definitely going to help them.

To celebrate this launch, Hitman: World of Assassination will also offer new challenges to players that will allow them to unlock cool suits. From today onwards and for the first time ever, IO Interactive will offer livestream fans the possibility to watch content creators playing Hitman: World of Assassination on Twitch to try and grab an exclusive Purple Streak Suit through the Twitch Drop feature.

There are still many more activities available to Hitman: World of Assassination players. For instance, the Mills Reverie Halloween Event just started and will offer players the opportunity to grab a Jack O’ Lantern suit in a Halloween-themed mission. Further, The Codename 47 challenge is now live, and for the next few days will allow fans to unlock a very polygonal retro skin and suit for Agent 47.

The action roleplaying game brings its intense first-person-melee combat to Halloweenland

Along the way, you will meet characters that help you achieve your goals, like the vocal coaches Zoe and Chloe Young, who will help you get this show on the road.

NO TRICKS, ALL TREATS: LORDS OF THE FALLEN BRINGS HALLOWEEN TO MOURNSTEAD WITH A NEW SEASONAL EVENT & FULL CROSSPLAY FUNCTIONALITY

Sydney, Australia – Thursday, 27th October 2023 – HEXWORKS, a CI Games studio, has kicked off the spooky season with a free, time-limited Halloween event for Lords of the Fallen. Available now and running until 2^nd November, the game’s world of Mournstead has been decorated with seasonal cosmetics. Players can also pursue a new questline to attain the Pumpskin Mask, a horrifying helm inspired by the iconic jack-o’-lantern.

The event coincides with the all-platform release of a significant update – The Pumpkin Patch – that brings a series of new gameplay mechanics developed following ongoing community feedback.

The Pumpkin Patch update includes:

• Revamped New Game Plus (NG+) – A new tiered NG+ system introduces Vestiges to the game mode; each higher level of NG+ removes more Vestiges from the game, increasing player difficulty.
• Full crossplay – Players can now experience full crossplay functionality between all PC and console platforms. This follows the introduction of crossplay between Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation®5 players for the first time earlier this week.
• Reduced enemy density – A reduction of the enemy density in areas observed as being most challenging for players.
• Performance & stability – Further performance and stability fixes across all platforms.

HEXWORKS is also inviting players to submit in-game photos created using Lords of the Fallen’s unique 3D Photo Mode to be considered for display in one of the most prominent and well-known public spaces in the world: Times Square, New York City. The screenshot, which must encapsulate the player’s experience of Lords of the Fallen – whether that’s an epic adventure, a harrowing crusade, or a white-knuckle expedition through the nightmarish realm of the dead – will feature on the NASDAQ® Building for two weeks from 26th November.
