STEP INTO THE WORLD OF ASSASSIN’S CREED NEXUS VR WITH NEW GAMEPLAY OVERVIEW

New Gameplay Overview Video Provides Insights on the Development Team’s Vision to Create the Most Immersive Assassin’s Creed® Experience, for the First Time in VR 

Sydney, Australia – October 18, 2023 – Today, Ubisoft released a new Gameplay Overview sharing how the development team took the fifteen-year-old Assassin’s Creed franchise to a new level of immersion with Assassin’s Creed® Nexus in Virtual Reality, exclusively on Meta Quest 2, Meta Quest 3 and Meta Quest Pro. 

For the first time in the franchise, players will be able to embody three different assassins in first person across three different time periods, and physically perform Iconic Assassin’s Creed actions like wielding the Hidden Blade, exploring cities from above with parkour, engaging in combat and mastering stealth. In Assassin’s Creed Nexus VR, the player is an elite hacker operating undercover for the Brotherhood at Abstergo. They will delve into the memories of iconic assassins Ezio, Connor and Kassandra, who have each crossed paths with the artifacts Abstergo seeks.  

The development team gave extraordinary attention to detail in parkour mechanics, crafting large, open urban environments, called open-maps, that truly come to life in VR. Players will be able to traverse them intuitively with a sense of freedom and realism like never before. 

Stealth is at the center of the Assassin’s Creed Nexus VR experience, allowing players to physically sneak around or use social stealth to blend in and tail a target without being detected. The interactive environment presents endless opportunities to create unique infiltration scenarios. To distract guards, players can make use of the whistling feature, or use throwable objects to manipulate their surroundings and outmaneuver their enemies with finesse by performing intuitive physical actions with the Meta Quest controllers. 

Assassin’s Creed Nexus VR also introduces innovative physical gestures for blocking, parrying, and executing takedowns, providing an engaging and empowering combat system, with specific sets of weaponry for each Assassin’s arsenal. Whether you prefer to throw Connor’s tomahawk at enemies, draw Kassandra’s bow mid-air, or perform thrilling air assassinations with Ezio’s hidden blades, the options are yours to explore. 

Years of development have led to Assassin’s Creed Nexus VR featuring a comprehensive suite of comfort features to accommodate players of all types with VR sensitivity. Players can remove partially or completely locomotion through space, use the Fear of Heights feature to reduce vertigo, and many more options that are fully customisable to meet the player’s needs.

Assassin’s Creed Nexus VR is the first AAA VR title of the franchise that allows players to embody three master assassins and physically perform their iconic actions in first person. The game will release on November 16, 2023 on the Meta Quest Platform, which includes the Meta Quest 2, Meta Quest 3 and Meta Quest Pro for AU$59.95.

With development led by Ubisoft Red Storm*, Assassin’s Creed Nexus will let players choose how to achieve their objectives as they make their way through open maps and use their hands to block, parry, counterattack, and duel a variety of enemies. Assassin’s Creed Nexus VR is a full-length Assassin’s Creed game that features all the iconic gameplay from the series, including parkour, combat, stealth and the dazzling leap of faith, all with an entirely new story, only available in VR.

Halo Infinite Season 5: Reckoning OUT NOW!

The long awaited crossplay feature is finally here, allowing players to battle friends on PC and Xbox right away, with PlayStation joining later this year. Turn seven-legged-clashes up a notch with a host of webified never-before-seen content including two weapons, seven maps, and a variety of fresh mechanics and hazards. 

Watch out for hazards like Aero Tube or Turret that will kill everything on sight. Harebrained Schemes and Paradox Interactive to Part Ways as the Seattle-based Developer Seeks New Opportunities

STOCKHOLM and SEATTLE — Oct. 17, 2023 — Paradox Interactive (Paradox) and Harebrained Schemes (HBS) – developers of the Shadowrun trilogy, BATTLETECH and The Lamplighters League – have decided to part ways on 1 January 2024. The separation is the result of a mutual agreement, stemming from each party’s strategic and creative priorities. Paradox will retain ownership of The Lamplighters League and other games developed by the studio. HBS will seek new publishing, partnership, and investment opportunities. 

“Paradox has refocused its strategy towards its core niches within strategy and management games with endless qualities,” said Charlotta Nilsson, COO of Paradox. “We and HBS’ leadership have been discussing what would happen after the release of The Lamplighters League, but a new project or sequel in the same genre was not in line with our portfolio plans. Farming Simulator Magazine Issue 3 Available Now

Mulching, modding and more: Publisher and developer GIANTS Software today released the Official Farming Simulator Magazine issue #3, available on newsstands or digitally via the Farming Simulator website. The November issue is filled with insightful articles, news and interviews, providing an entertaining and interesting look at various topics related to the globally successful Farming Simulator series.

Bundled with Branded Keychain

Issue #3 comes to the newsstands with a useful gift for the fans, who receive an exclusive keychain with the Farming Simulator logo. The cover’s main art motif is also a two-page poster and features the impressive highlight machine from the Premium Edition, which will be launched in November as the most comprehensive Farming Simulator 22 offering to date.

The November issue also reveals a sweet update for Farming Simulator 23, as the developers are working on adding sugarcane to the mobile versions soon. Interviews and tips from the developers, event reports and a list with the best 25 mods this fall, round out the 52 pages.

GIANTS Software offers the official Farming Simulator Magazine as a quarterly publication in seven languages (English, German, French, Italian, Polish, Dutch, and Czech).
