The next major update introduces new Resonator Lily, continues the main story with A Bouquet for Tomorrow, and brings new events, a Tactical Hologram challenge and improvements across PC and consoles.
GUANGZHOU, CHINA, November 6th: Kuro Games has revealed the first details for Wuthering Waves Version 3.8, “Lilies in a Dying Dream,” the next major update for the award-winning open-world action RPG, launching November 12th.
Version 3.8 continues the main story with Chapter IV Act V, A Bouquet for Tomorrow. Players will also be able to take on Tactical Hologram: Calamity Effigy, a new Tactical Hologram challenge.
The update also sets the stage for Version 4.0, marking the beginning of its world and narrative setting and giving players a first glimpse of the next chapter in Wuthering Waves. New Resonator Lily joins Wuthering Waves in Version 3.8, alongside the new weapon Lullaby. The update will also introduce Hiyuki’s Deluxe Outfit, Lune Noire, and her new accessory, Flaming Sakura.
Version 3.8 brings a range of new events, including the leisure events Second Coming of Solaris: Unwritten Dreams, Lahai-Roi Blocks: Turnabout and Lollo Campaign: Groundwork, alongside the combat event Dreamfield Odyssey.
Players can also take part in Gifts of Bygone Dreams, a seven-day login event, and Whither the Wind, a limited-time login event.
Alongside the new content, Version 3.8 introduces a redesigned Resonance Conversion page for Rover, with a streamlined interface and automatic switching to the equipped Echo Set for the corresponding Resonance Attribute after conversion. Rover can be equipped with Echo sets individually for each Resonance Attribute.
A new Material Locator button in the Guidebook’s Material Collection page and the Resonator Ascension Planner will help players teleport to unlocked challenges that drop the required materials on the map or start the challenges immediately. When claiming rewards after a material collection challenge, players can enable the new Blitz Mode to restart the challenge immediately without reloading. Resonator animations have also been optimized, focusing on turning in place, movement transitions and combat hit reactions for smoother controls and improved visual quality.
On PC, new launcher options will allow players to choose between Full Resources and Basic Resources, while an upgraded Resource Cleanup feature will help manage game resources and free up storage space. These features are being rolled out gradually as part of a limited test, with further details to be shared through official announcements.
On supported consoles, players will be able to select Performance or Quality under Graphics Quality settings. This setting is currently unavailable on PS5 and Xbox Series S. On PS5 Pro, players can enable PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR) to enhance image resolution up to 4K for sharper visuals.

Version 3.8 will also feature Starpath Reverbs II Reverb Resonator Convene and Tideforge Reverbs II Reverb Weapon Convene. Players can select a 5-Star Resonator or 5-Star Weapon as the Featured Convene target in the corresponding Convene, and change their selection at any time.
