Wuthering Waves Version 3.7 Preview Introduces New Story Content, Resonators Hsin and Suoming, and Major Gameplay Optimisations

The next major update for Wuthering Waves continues the main story with Chapter IV Act IV, opens the new Simulacrum Nexus of Mengzhou area, introduces two new Resonators, Echoes and events, and expands quest replay, Echo management, photography and team management.

GUANGZHOU, CHINA – September 19th, 2026 – Kuro Games has revealed the first details for Wuthering Waves Version 3.7, “Prism’s Illusion, Heart’s Illumination,” the next major update for the award-winning open-world action RPG, launching September 30th, 2026.

Version 3.7 continues the journey across Solaris-3 with the new Main Quest, Chapter IV Act IV: Simulacrum of the Heart, alongside the new Tales Quest, Moonlike Heart, Mortal Longing. The update will also introduce the new Simulacrum Nexus of Mengzhou area and the new permanent event, Blooms for the Shadow.

Two new Resonators, Hsin and Suoming, will be introduced in Version 3.7 through the update’s Featured Resonator Convenes. The update also adds the new weapons Blooming Jadehaven and Unspoken Rue.

Version 3.7 expands the Echo system with five new Echoes: Formrender, Soulfrayer, Skywatch Lancer, Bloomburst Puppet and Jade Nether Serpent. Three new Sonata Effects will also be introduced: Heart of Sworn Vigil, Flash of Electric Reflection and Flower of Tinged Yearning. Players can also obtain the new Phantom Echo, Phantom: Skywatch Lancer.

New Resonator accessories will be available throughout Version 3.7. Hsin’s Accessory: Where Dreams Shine Clear and Rover’s Accessory: Not Even Close will be obtainable through Moonlit Path, while Hsin’s Accessory: Spring in Bloom and Suoming’s Accessory: Glazed Roseate will be available to purchase from the Store. The new WavesLine Look, Hsin and Moon, will also be available to purchase from the Store.

During Version 3.7, players can progress through Moonlit Path by reaching Moonlit Ring milestones and unlocking the corresponding rewards. Further information about the event rules will be shared through official announcements.

Version 3.7 will feature a wide range of special events, including the Cubie Wars leisure event, Gifts of Waking Moon seven-day login event, Echo Erase leisure event, Dreams in the Capsule area exploration event, Past Dreams, Traced Seals photo collection event, Artisan’s Search featured combat event, and Beyond the Waves: Land of Xuanfang featured exploration event. Players can also participate in the Waking Moon Fishing and Back to Solaris web events.

Gifts of Singing Drizzle will run from 22 October 2026 at 10:00 until 11 November 2026 at 03:59 server time. During the event, players can log in to claim a total of Radiant Tide ×10 and additional rewards.

Version 3.7 introduces Main Quest Replay through the Journey Log. Players will be able to replay main quests from Version 1.1: Thaw of Eons, the Moon-Chasing Festival event from Version 1.2: In the Turquoise Moonglow, and main quests from Version 1.3: To the Shore’s End.

Progress will be saved automatically when players exit Replay Mode, allowing them to resume from where they left off or reset their progress manually. Additional chapters will become available in Replay Mode with the release of future versions.

Echo management has also been streamlined. All unequipped, non-upgraded Echoes within the Echo Backpack that share the same Echo type, Sonata Effect and Mainstat will automatically stack into a single backpack item. Each backpack item can hold up to 999 Echoes.

During automatic stacking, Echoes will be marked according to the following order of priority: Locked, Discarded and Unmarked.

The Suggest screen for Echo Recommendation and the Suggest menu for Echo Equipment will now provide Resonance Mode-specific Echo set recommendations for Resonators with two Resonance Modes. When a frequently used set matches the recommended set, the corresponding Resonance Mode icon will also be displayed.

The Camera System receives a major upgrade in Version 3.7 with the addition of Handheld and Selfie Modes. Selfie Mode includes several adjustable poses and expressions, while Tripod Mode now offers a more freely controllable drone perspective.

New camera tools, including Reference Lines, Quick Focus and Lens Templates, provide greater control over image composition. Players can also adjust environmental settings such as Time, Weather and Foliage Wind Direction through the Environment tab. Global Filter parameters can be adjusted directly from the Camera screen, while lighting templates can be selected to change the lighting effects applied to the current Resonator.

Team management has also been expanded, increasing the number of available team setups to 20. A new 3D Team Setup Mode allows players to switch between 2D and 3D display modes, while new Team Management options allow team setups to be reordered and named for easier organisation. Some devices may not support 3D display mode, with further information to be shared through official announcements.

Version 3.7 will begin a limited test of Tiered Client Resource Downloads on PC, iOS and Android. During the test, eligible PC players can choose between UHD, HD and SD resource tiers, while eligible mobile players can select either HD or SD. Each tier offers a different balance of download size and graphics quality, allowing players to select the option best suited to their device specifications and needs.

As the feature requires significant changes to the game client, it will be rolled out gradually while the development team monitors player feedback and continues to make further optimisations.

The Version 3.7 preview also revealed Solaris Starry Stage, a special programme celebrating fan creations, alongside Wuwa Tappo, the upcoming Wuthering Waves Desktop Pet Software. New merchandise created in collaboration with RIBOSE was also unveiled, including painted prototypes of Tea Break Moments chibi figures featuring Jinhsi and Changli, with further details to be shared through official channels.
