The PV was revealed at Tokyo Game Show (TGS) 2026, wherethe game’s first hands-on demo is being offered to attendees.
Produced in collaboration with C2C, the studio behind the Shangri-La Frontier anime series, the newly unveiled original PV is a high-quality 2D animated video that captures the tone and visual style of the anime while introducing game-specific elements. The video highlights familiar characters and the Unique Monster Wethermon the Tombguard, while also showcasing tag battle combat and original action sequences created for the game.
The original PV showcases key elements of Shangri-La Frontier: The Seven Colossi, including the main characters, battle scenes, and an intense confrontation with Wethermon the Tombguard. The video closes with the silhouettes of the Seven Colossi, including Wethermon, positioning them as a major objective in the game’s broader adventure. Based on the hit web novel Shangri-La Frontier, which has surpassed 1 billion cumulative views, the original IP follows Rakuro Hizutome, a high school student known for taking on so-called “trash games,” as he enters Shangri-La Frontier, a highly acclaimed virtual reality game regarded as one of the greatest games of all time. The manga adaptation is currently serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine and has reached more than 18 million copies in circulation.
Shangri-La Frontier: The Seven Colossi faithfully reflects the world of the original IP, inviting players to explore the in-game universe, meet a wide range of companions and NPCs, and challenge distinctive and powerful monsters featured in the original story. The title is currently in development to deliver strategic gameplay through an accessible one-handed, two-character tag battle system.
