Launch Trailer Debuted Ahead of Upcoming Release; Pre-Orders Available
Sydney, Australia, Thursday 17 September – LEGO® Batman™: Legacy of the Dark Knight, the critically acclaimed action-adventure videogame, will be coming to Nintendo Switch™ 2 on Sept. 18. In advance of the upcoming release, a new launch trailer is now available and showcases the Nintendo Switch 2 version of the game.
With LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight on Nintendo Switch 2, players will have the flexibility to experience Bruce Wayne’s epic journey of becoming the Dark Knight either docked in TV mode or on the go in handheld or tabletop mode.
Fans can pre-order the Nintendo Switch 2 Standard and Deluxe Editions now. All Nintendo Switch 2 pre-orders (Standard & Deluxe Editions) will receive The Dark Knight Returns in-game Batsuit, inspired by the acclaimed comic book series, available at launch. LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight Nintendo Switch 2 Deluxe Edition owners will receive the following content at launch on Sept 18:
- Access to the Mayhem Collection DLC, incl. The Joker and Harley Quinn as playable characters, breaking out of Arkham Asylum in a new story mission, causing chaos on the streets of Gotham City via the new Mayhem Mode gameplay experience, and the Sinister Pack of DC Super-Villain themed outfits, Batcave items, and a vehicle
- Access to the Legacy Collection DLC, incl. new suits, vehicles, and Batcave items inspired by the Batman: Arkham videogame series, Batman Beyond television series, and a party music themed pack
- Free LEGO Retro Videogame Batman™ Minifigure (*available with physical edition only & while supplies last)
Additionally, an enhanced Absolute difficulty level will be added as a free update for all LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight owners on Sept. 18, in conjunction with the launch of the Nintendo Switch 2 version and the Mayhem Collection DLC. This new setting is designed to be even more challenging than the Caped Crusader and Dark Knight options, requiring greater skill, awareness, and precision in combat.
Developed by TT Games, LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight invites players to embark on Bruce Wayne’s epic journey to become the hero of Gotham City, from origin to legend, while forging bonds with trusted allies and facing off against Gotham City’s most infamous DC Super-Villains. Inspired by decades of Batman films, television shows, comic books, and games, this open world action-adventure videogame combines countless DC references and TT Games’ signature brand of fun-filled LEGO humor in the ultimate LEGO Batman experience.
The LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight Standard and Deluxe Editions are available now for PlayStation 5, XBOX Series X|S, and PC (Steam & Epic Game Store). The Mayhem DLC will release on Sept. 18 for Deluxe Edition owners on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation®5, XBOX Series X|S, and PC (Steam & Epic Game Store). Standard Edition owners can also purchase the Deluxe Edition Upgrade to receive the Mayhem Collection DLC and Legacy Collection DLC.
Players can unlock the in-game Golden Age Batsuit, a classic outfit based on the Caped Crusader’s debut look from Detective Comics #27 (1939), accessible for eligible users who create a Warner Bros. Games account and those who already have an account, as well as the Black Lantern Batsuit (based on DC’s Blackest Night comic book series) and Dark Knights of Steel Batsuit (based on DC’s Dark Knights of Steel comic book series) by linking a Warner Bros. Games account with an active HBO Max account. Additionally, eligible players can unlock the in-game Comics Rack Batcave item by linking their Warner Bros. Games account with any active DC UNIVERSE INFINITE (DCUI) account subscription tier (Free, Ultra, or Standard). Eligible premium DCUI subscribers (Ultra and Standard) can also unlock the Animated Jarro Character Batcave item by linking their active DCUI account with their Warner Bros. Games account.
